On the weekends, get there early, it fills up fast. The food is always good. I get the Mexican Burrito, and never disappointed. The staff always trys there best to make you happy. But give them a break, they work hard.

Every time we come to the north woods we stop at this restaurant. Their food is always amazing! They may not be the fastest but it is always delicious. If you’re in Eagle River you need to stop in and grab a cranberry muffin.

I visited on a busy Sunday morning, the place was full. Even though their was plenty of wait staff everybody seemed unusually overwhelmed. I noticed most of the tension was between the staff and one person. Didn't take long to figure out it was the owner. I manage a team and it took me 10 minutes to figure out this owner clearly doesn't know how to treat her people well. The whole experience was very distracting. I honestly had to console our waitress as she was holding back tears. I've never written a review of a restaurant that didn't spend the majority of the time critiquing the food but here we are. By the way the food was great. I don't know if I should tell you to pass on this place or go there to support the wait staff, you decide.

The breakfast dishes were flavorful. I had the benni skillet with an excellent hollandaise sauce. The servers kept the coffee cups full and hot.

It was very busy, but service was fast and pleasant..... food was amazing. Try the garbage omelet. You won't be sorry!!

Our favorite place for breakfast in the northwoods. We discovered this place a couple years ago and now we make a point to frequent here whenever we are up in the area. My go to is the eggs with bacon, American fries, and toast and it never disappoints.

We we're heading home early Sunday morning from another great Wisconsin weekend. Stopped at Leif's for breakfast. Excellent coffee, we split the eggs Benedict and sausage gravey. Both were great choices. In and out in 45 min. Great job, people . Thank you.

Been here several times and every time is a very unpleasant visit. The minute you walk in the atmosphere make you feels as if you bothered the owner by being there. They are hard on their wait staff so you either get a really rushed experience or faked happy experience that makes for a weird experience all round. All the food is pretty decent, Just can’t bring ourselves to support this place any longer especially with other place nearby that are glad to have guests, and food is just as good.

Nice home-town old school cafe' with lots of hot coffee and breakfast as you like it. Our waitress has a nice sense of humor.

Leif's Cafe has plenty of seating inside and out. My wife and I had breakfast there on Sunday late morning, and the place was packed. To our surprise, the waitress assigned to our table was able to take our order and get our food to us in a timely manner, despite the fact that she was nearly running the entire time we were in the restaurant. The food was hot, plentiful, and of good quality. Our heart goes out to the hard-working waitresses in this establishment for their extreme efficiency. We'd definitely patronize this restaurant again the next time we're in the area. Thank you Darryl & Christy

Had breakfast burrito. Unfortunately egg shells in it. Otherwise flavorful. Atmosphere not good, all the employees unhappy and mad because of short staffed. Probably shouldn't open if not enough staff. Just disappoint your customers. First time tried. Probably won't be back. Wolf pack in St Germain a much better choice.

Food is OK. Host/Owner seems irritated by customers as she smacks away at her gum while seating guests . Waitresses are nice. If it gets a little busy, food service speed goes downhill fast.
