You dummies that are complaining about higher prices have no idea what’s taking place in the world right now. Food cost has tripled for these poor folks and they have not nearly raised prices enough to keep up with the “sticker shock”! I’m just glad most haven’t been put completely out of business YET! So stop your b**chN and go fix your own food at home. I’m sure your grocery bill hasn’t skyrocketed.

This place is really good. I've been here several times and it never disappoints. They also make their own homemade duck sauce and Chinese hot mustard and chili oil. All of which are excellent. I believe all of their sauces and gravy's etc are all homemade. Definitely recommend. Even though they are one of the standard cookie cutter Chinese takeout places I believe they are a step above most

The shrimp egg roll was served piping hot but was bland overall. It could have used some salt. The hot and sour soup could have used some seasoning also. No togo plastic ware and no napkins were served. The inside of the restaurant was humid.

just moved into the area and was looking for some chinese. its very hit or miss in baton rouge, but this is prob the best chinese ive had in a few years. ordered kung pao, and for 9 bucks got 2 meals worth. so dang good.

I love to get food from here. The best Chinese I've ever eaten. That's saying a lot from the look of the restaurant. It's small and "humble" but, wow is the food and service great, and the prices are very reasonable!!

Typical walk in type Chinese place. No place to sit...it's a take and go place. Food was good-ish. Friendly staff.

The mandarin chicken here sparked my love of chicken katsu, and try as I might, I have been unable to find anywhere that compares to China Star's. Served over a bed of fried rice and cabbage, topped with a delicious peanut sauce, this dish is another must stops when I'm back in town visiting family.

My husband and I chose this place for a quick lunch recently. It is a little gem at the back end of a strip center. The food was delicious and plentiful. I got five meals out of my mandarin chicken, which was very good. My husband gave his sweet and sour pork a thumbs up. The hostess was very nice. The physical setting is humble, but don't let that fool you. The food is very good.
