I haven't felt the need to write a review in a while. I have to say this hotel has been very good to me. I've stayed 2 nights. I walked into the lobby when I arrived and was greeted by the smell of freshly baked cookies. Staff is friendly, quick and capable. My television had an issue and in less than 5 minutes maintenance was here to address the issue. The thermostat system on the wall is very responsive and breakfast was good. The hallways and rooms smell clean and my room, bed and pillows were very comfortable.

This would be a 1 star review if it weren't for the wonderful front desk attendant, Brett. Upon waking up to wet carpet due to a presumed a/c leak we were unable to report until later that afternoon at which point the leak had spread even further across the carpet. We spoke with Brett who immediately responded and tried to assist. However, Maintenance was unavailable and all rooms were booked. Having some good fortune, Brett called us at 11 pm that night to offer us a room that had just been canceled. Our kids were asleep, however, so he put a HOLD on the room for us so that we could switch rooms in the morning. At 8 am the next morning, we visited the front desk to switch rooms. Brett had left for the day and his replacement informed me that they sold the room that had been put on HOLD for us. This action clearly demonstrates that this hotel values $$$ over customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, my family paid full value for a room that was nearly halfway covered in bath towels to avoid walking on a wet, soggy floor.

The room and amenities are nice. Unfortunately I left 2 nice shirts hanging in closet when I had to checkout in a hurry. I called later that night after unpacking my clothes and realized I was missing them. Front desk checked the room and they were gone. Said he would let House Keeping know also. Needless to say, I never got a call back. So over $100 in shirts were basically stolen. Very disappointing. Don't leave anything behind!!!

Hotel was decent. Just had a few uncomfortable experiences. When I arrived , I was told my reservation was already check in even though I had just arrived. My key stopped working during my stay. On my last day around 9:45am someone had the ability to unlock and open my door while I was in the middle of getting changed. There was not a single knock prior and the front desk said that housekeeping didn’t come in until 10am. It made me very very uncomfortable. Luckily the top lock was locked so the door didn’t open all the way.

Great service during check in to ensure we had everything we needed. Sure, the hotel looks dated but this place offers good value. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is top notch with multiple hot options and even chocolate milk for the kids! And the shower pressure is amazing. Pool is very warm, the kids loved it. Location can't be beat, right off the interstate.

Excellent value for the price. We stayed for one night. The room was fairly basic but clean and spacious. The bathroom was stocked with good quality linens and Dove products. Breakfast was adequate for our needs. The lobby does smell strongly of chlorine but it didn't affect the breakfast area or our upstairs room. My only negative was the bottle of chocolate milk I grabbed at breakfast had gone rancid (it tasted and fizzed like seltzer). I let a staff member know. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Very comfy beds, clean bathrooms, and a decent hotel-level breakfast. I had to knock a star off for service because there's just no staffing, we stayed there three nights and we got some fresh towels one day, but I had to keep asking for coffee, and the beds were never made at all. I know it's just the hotel culture these days due to staff shortages, and no doubt they're trying to hire staff, but it doesn't mean we have to still give them five stars for service does it??

When I checked into this hotel, lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. However once I got checked into the room, Issues started as follow - There was barely any product left in the shower to get cleaned, no available water at the property, Half way through the shower, pump bottles were out of product. Hair blow dryer didn’t work, I forgot a few important things at my hotel room. When I call to see if they found it, STANLEY was beyond rude and started arguing when I asked about why I was double charged. This person said he can’t look up a past reservation and that I will have to call manager in the morning. I tried calling in the morning and can never speak to the manager. I will update this review once I get to speak to the manager… hopefully in the weeks or so.

Beds are super bouncy, like a trampoline and you can feel every single spring. Also the front desk told us breakfast was till 9:30. We got there at 9:10am to locked doors and very upset breakfast staff who found us rude to even attempt to enter after their 9am closing. But we had no way of knowing the front desk told us the wrong time. The bathroom seemed clean but the TP was almost empty, I found it odd that they'd really clean a room and leave almost no TP. So who knows how clean it really was. Thankfully we were just there long enough to sleep and get back on the road. We won't be back. But we've also stayed at FAR worse places. So all in all, I'd say it was just OK.

We had a wonderful week long stay here. From the moment I booked my visit everyone I talked to regarding my stay was so helpful and willing to make my stay a great one! Val, Carmen and Kathy really made out stay perfect. We were up visiting our home town to see family for a week but my husband had to work. The staff made sure everything was taken care of so that my husband would be able to work in our room without any issues. The hotel is nice and clean. I think the rooms and decor need an update but everything was clean and in working order. They offer a free breakfast every morning which was nice. Having a Kurig was also an added bonus for us. Considering we were right off of I-95, we felt safe in the hotel and that my car would be safe in the parking lot. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay here again. Ty Val, Carmen and Kathy for going out if your way to make our stay a positive one!!

Spotless hotel, in a great location. Super friendly and helpful staff, who did everything they could to make us feel at home. It was such a safe place also, exactly what I was looking for with my Mom with me. We stayed for 2 nights and loved it.

Front doors locked at night. Card reader to get in does not work. You have to bang on the glass to get the attendants attention. They know about it but don’t fix it. Been trying to take a hot shower since 640am, it’s 11:53am, no hot water. Blinds and blackout curtains allow a large gash of sunlight to pierce your room while sleeping in. The TV is dated and flickers. Dunno what to say, I’ve had much better experiences. Oh and room cleaning service has not come to my room in 5 days, I do not have a sign on my door that says busy, I’m going to have to go ask for towels today. Mildew aroma when you enter the room. I’m editing my review to add, the hotel has its own policy that restricts all delivery services from delivering your food to your door. Even the delivery service that they advertise in their rooms. Just another way this hotel has inconvenienced my stay. Requiring me to come down and get the food. Why don’t your hotel staff deliver my food since you prevent the delivery of my food?

We have enjoyed staying here each time we travel to NJ for the last 3 years. The rooms are always clean. The front desk service always efficient. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants.

I will definitely stay again. Check in was easy and our room was ready even tho we showed up about an hour before check in. Room was clean and well equipped with a larger fridge (larger than the usual) and microwave. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was spotless. If I had a complaint it would be that the TV was small for the room, but since I watch little to no TV it wasn't an issue for me.

The price is reasonable. The room was OK but with a sock from a previous guest on the floor. There is no mini bar in the room but They charge $100 “deposit” on top of room price that I am stil hopefully to get back.

Great location and easy access to Turnpike. Staff very friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Quiet 3rd floor room. Breakfast, pool and gym access. Attended conference at Hilton right next door. Very convenient.

After driving from South Carolina for 13 hours, this place was a sight for sore eyes. We did an overnight stay. The service was excellent and price was extremely reasonable. Rooms were very nice and clean. Highly recommended.

Far enough away from highway, where it isn't too loud. Walls are thick, so you can't hear the neighbors. The rooms were very clean and comfy. TV was sorta broken, but it didn't bother me enough to ask for help.

The front desk staff was great. Very polite and on point. Breakfast was very good. The room itself was ok. Needs to cleaned much better. We brought in our own lysol wipes and spray. And thoroughly wiped down everything and it needed it. The sheets appeared cleaned but they needed washing (hairs). Older looking room could use some upgrades. For the most part it was ok. Unfortunately there was bigger party on our floor and they were all in the hallway talking, drinking, and playing music. But were not super rowdy. That's not hotel's fault. It was ok.

Super clean, great staff, super comfortable and quiet. Pool was nice and even though the gym is small, was convenient. Breakfast was great and they leave out fresh baked cookies in the lobby. Everyone there was so nice and had phenomenal work ethics. Would stay here again . There's a creek behind the hotel which was nice to see as well.

I don’t usually do 5 stars, realistically there’s always room to improve, but nobody wants to work now a days, every business is finding it hard to stay open. So, that being said… My mom and I come to the cat show at the New Jersey Convention Center, which hasn’t happened for the last 2 years or so. They finally opened it again this year so…ROAD TRIP! We did have to wait a couple of minutes for someone to come to the front desk because they are short staffed, which he did not say, that’s just par for the course I feel. Brett was super nice and very helpful. We only stayed one night and it was pricey since it was a Saturday in July. You’re only about 30-45 minutes from a nice beach there too. We picked Belmar beach to check out after the show. A lady at the show recommended that beach, it is nice. Now, back to the hotel. I don’t remember the lady’s name in the morning when we checked out but she was super nice as well. We were running a couple minutes late getting out of the room which they didn’t have a problem with. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty big enough, we shared a king bed and opted to get a room with a whirlpool tub (hence why it was more expensive). The pillows were the only thing I found uncomfortable but everyone is different with that sort of thing. The indoor pool was open though we didn’t have time to take advantage of that. A hot breakfast is very important to us and it did not disappoint. The only thing I missed was the waffles, they didn’t have any waffle machines but they had that awesome pancake machine and they were good! Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, egg whites, cereals, juices, fruits, coffee, tea, pretty much the works. It was all very good too. The only problem we really had was getting something to eat the night before when we got there. They have room service and an extensive menu, but a bit costly. We usually just grab a pizza as it is usually quick and not too expensive. No Pizza Huts delivered so I finally went down to the lobby and asked Brett. He said that Michelangelo’s Pizzeria wasn’t far, and delivered to all the hotels around there frequently. The pizza was alright, not as good as the Franks Pizza in our area but not horrible. The guy called me and said he was only a couple minutes out, you have to meet them in the lobby, so I headed down. I left my phone on the charger in the room. Ten minutes later I finally asked Brett if I needed to meet them outside or something, no, they come in. He said they usually don’t run late. Twenty minutes later the guy finally shows up, mumbles something about the Hilton, apologizes, I tell him to keep the change and we part ways. Once back in the room my mom tells me that they called 2 or 3 times insisting that I was not in the lobby. Mom’s like oh yes she is and has been there about 15-20 minutes waiting. They went to the wrong hotel! Though I used my cell phone to call them the address for the hotel is right on the phone in the room and that’s what I gave them. We should have gotten a couple of bucks off but instead they got a normal tip because I didn’t know what was going on. Room service pizza would have only been maybe 4 more bucks so in hindsight… This Holiday Inn is only about 20 minutes, give or take with traffic from the Convention Center. I believe we have stayed there before and we will stay there again in the future! (Here’s a pic from the cat show, there are many rescues there as well! One from Belmar Beach too!)
