Nice off the beaten path to hang out, watch a game, and drink. Small bar and a few tables. Young slim bartender was super nice, bartended, and waited tables. Another Heavyset guy arrived later and mostly hit on the 3 college-aged girls at the end of the bar. Guess he was the bouncer. He clearly felt their spending qualified them for free T Shirts. They have a foosball table and bar sized pool table in a room too small for it, although the regulars have the lay of the table down. No hot food or kitchen so strictly a pub, but people are allowed to bring in their own food. Only observed street parking, and the nice bartender assured us newbies that our parking spot was cool. Definitely recommend, although I can imagine it gets crowded at times. Might have gone 5 stars if the bouncer thought I was cute enough for a free shirt, lol.....

I love this bar . I would go a lot maybe 5 years ago. Bartenders were nice and you could always meet a nice group of people on the back patio to hang with if you come solo . Interestingly enough it’s haunted! The owner posts videos on Facebook so creepy but fun! Haven’t been back in a while now that I have kids, but I’ll be back one of these days !

Back in the day ( the early 80s), this was my favorite bar place in NB. Alex the Bartender - no one better in the business. Before I departed NB, I spent my last night there. I miss this great Tavern.

This place has had a rep of being welcoming to LGBTQ folks for years and hosting union-run events, I've never had issues w/ it -- yet when a close friend of mine visited recently while wearing a respirator, the bartender leaned over to them and said they were apparently making themself and "everyone else in the bar look like a douche" because they were wearing a heavy duty respirator. My friend politely clarified that wearing a heavy duty respirator is the only way they can safely leave their home because of several disabilities. They weren't hurting anyone and were minding their own business. Instead of the staff member acting like a grown adult and maturely expressing some understanding in response, or even just agreeing to disagree and moving on, he responded by wordlessly, rudely mocking my friend and walking away. This was after he was clearly knocking back drinks with his buddies while on the job. Undeniable discrimination against people with disabilities, plain and simple. A paying patron wearing a respirator or mask to protect themself from getting sick has nothing to do with the bartender or the establishment. Going to go somewhere else that doesn't treat the disabled community as inherently contagious or subhuman.

A very small bar that doesn’t open until 7, has no food or entertainment, a two-drink minimum on trivia night and people smoke in the tiny rest room. Oh, and the male bartender doesn’t know how to make change, but he sure does know how to make ice.

Awesome little divey bar. I flew in from San Diego, drank, left my credit card here and Taylor was nice enough to mail it back to me.

What can I say about this awesome bar in New Brunswick. From locals, college students, regulars, and many many types that come and chill out. Great prices, welcoming atmosphere, and an all around good time can be had. Always check out their page or Instagram to see what specials they got going on there's something for everybody here. I really recommend this place.

Love, love, love this place forever and will always be my go-to spot for great vibes and drinks! Riley and Parker are such amazing bartenders and keep the vibes up in the pub at all times! The drinks are some of the best I've had in New Brunswick, and the prices are just reasonable compared to some subpar drinks I've paid more for in other pubs in the area.

Great prices and drink selection particularly on $2 Tuesday. You can bring your own food in. Friendly staff, fun events each week and often they collaborate with community organizations and local artists/performers. There is an outdoor section for smokers with heat lamps. Fun music is playing but you can still have a conversation. There is a table soccer and pool table and an arcade game. It usually gets busy around 11 pm and is open til 2 am :)

i come here every weekend and it’s always great! it gets pretty packed at around 11:00 onwards saturday and friday, and attracts a younger college crowd. drinks are cheap, and usually great, although there is one bartender who usually doesn’t give nearly as much alcohol as the others which does bother me at times. regardless, it’s a friendly establishment and the back patio is nice. they host drag shows which is cool. shoutout to john and riley, they’re goated.

In my opinion, this is the best bar in New Brunswick if you want a more quiet, and chill atmosphere with a younger crowd. The drinks are pretty cheap too. There's also a pool table and the music played in the bar is usually pretty good. I always try to stop by when I'm in the Rutgers area

Cash only, old school style bar. Cozy atmosphere with pool table, classic arcade games, and fooseball. Has an outdoor patio area which is nice for some fresh air without abandoning your drink. Some of the best drink specials in town and they are updated daily. Would definitely recommend this place for those who want to avoid the more clubby bars in new Brunswick.

The kind of bar people go to get hammered. it's just down to business.

Small tavern with games available. Makes for a good place for small groups.

I really like the staff, very polite and attentive. The back room for smokers is appreciated as one can easily get away from the crowd inside of there is one. They have a 3/4 size pool table. It's nice to play on casually despite it's size. Add on the drink deals and it's an easy choice compared to the other locations in town.

🫤 Visited this houlihans for the first and last time. I used to like Houlihans for their good appetizers and quick service but everything has degraded so much. We visited this restaurant on Sunday night for dinner. The restaurant was quite not a lot of customers for the servers to serve. We were taken...
