I've been here only once and tried only their Wednesday Dosa buffet, but I can already vouch this to be one of the best authentic South Indian vegetarian restaurant and Dosa place in the Garden state. They have a display of awards they have won and that’s certainly a testimony to what they offer. We went here just by the reviews and was surprised how a modest looking place can pack a punch with its taste and pleasant customer service. The food was out of the world and tasted just how it would if you are to walk into a South Indian restaurant, back in India. We got here on a Wednesday night to try the dosa buffet and had no disappointments. They charge $19.99 per person for unlimited food, which is nominal. The dosas variety is a lot and the other various foods served in the counters are delicious too. They keep refilling them and don’t let you wait. The only pickle point is that they didn’t have pickles to side the curd rice (which’s a must in South Indian type of eating) ;) We can’t wait to try this place on other days and their other delicacies. Dosa Grill, you found yourself, new patrons in us!

Was around somerset area and wanted to have a quick dinner and spotted this restaurant . Looking at 4.3 star review in google , I went to this restaurant .. first time . Restaurant was crowded.. service was worst . No one would even come to table and take order .. had to call them twice or thrice to get someone take order … and after order - IT TOOK 45 mins for a dosa to be served … 45 mins for a dosa ??? Ufff. After 45 mins I was eagerly waiting to taste the dosa , and it was such a disappointment!!!!!! Dosa was very ordinary.. Sambar had less salt and didn’t taste south indianish.. please don’t think this is South Indian restaurant . It is not ! Onion rava was another disappointment ! I wanted to give 1 star but luckily the chilly parotta was good . Just for that, I’m giving 2 stars ! Will not go back again . Very disappointing visit :.

We recently discovered this place and since then we have been here a couple of times. They serve some authentic dosas. Their menu offers variety of options and has different types of dosas. I have tried the Gongura dosa, gunpowder dosa and mysore masala dosa. All three of them were really nice.

Delicious dosa buffet on Wednesdays. Lot of other options are also available in that buffet like idli, vada, uthappam, Gongura Dal, sambar, yogurt rice, white rice, Biryanis, desserts( gulab jamun, Carrot halwa), naans and few curries for naans and rice. The actual dosa feast was marvelous. Sooo many dosas, unlimited. We ordered few of the list and our personal favorites are: Gongura karam dosa, mysore masala dosa, butter dosa so far. Dosas in general are crisp and tasty. Different chutneys and sambar make perfect pair for this crunchy dosas. Coffee is good here. Place is nice and sweet and staff are friendly. Highly recommend this place. We are eagerly waiting to try thali sometime sooner.

Amazing and authentic South Indian food. We went on a Sunday brunch hours and the restaurant was pretty empty. My wife loved the sambhar and I liked the crisp ones of the dosa. Having tea outside home is one of the things I miss about being in India and the tea here is a must have.

This place is decent enough to try out. Have good varieties of the dosas. We tried their idli and it was good and soft, however, rava dosa wasn’t good and usually i love rava dosa which is not best here. Quantity is more than enough here, plus they have Wednesday evening dosa night. Their regular dosa was good and tasty though. Overall, this place has good south indians but nothing like out of the box taste.

This is a really great place for south Indian food! I have been going there on and off for about more than 10 years and rarely any restaurant keeps their quality the same. Awesome udupi style food. Always fresh and great tasting! Must try their vangi bhat and badam halwa! After covid their buffet is only on Wednesdays apparently, so really miss their weekend buffets. A must try!

Based on the lunch thali I had, I do not believe this is an authentic south Indian restaurant. But the thali i had was really good for a restaurant that i will call a north south indian collaboration. It did not have vatha kulambu, vathal, and the quantity of rice served was insufficient for a south indian. On the positive side they served coffee together with the thali. Overall had a good food and a peaceful dine in lunch after a long time. Regarding the dinner buffet on Wednesday I do not recommend it as after having it I had a bloating sensation in my stomach for some time Not sure why but I am not planning to go for Wednesday buffet in future.

The food was worth my drive to this place! The place can get really busy, parking was hard to find on Friday night. The service was good, and the all the items tasted great - chutneys and sambar were spot on! Very authentic Indian in flavor. My fav was Mumbai dosa- loaded with veggies and tasted quite unique!

Every Wednesday, they serve a buffet. You can choose from a wide selection of Dosa and other selected vegetarian dishes. I paid about $19.99 plus taxes for it. It's a great atmosphere for socializing with friends and family.

Really good mix of items in south indian thali. We liked that they allowed us to switch to Puri instead of chapati in Thali. Their indo-chinese is something we tried and chilli garlic noodles were yummy! You can walk in. There is parking space available. They also keep sweet paan for sale.

A great dosa joint ! They have Dosa buffet on Wednesdays. I ordered Andra style dosa, mumbai street dosa, gun powder uttapam , idli vada combo and coffee. Loved the mumbai style dosa, full of veggies and very flavorful. Coffee was too authentic as well. Sambar and service is really amazing.

I had good experience here. The food was good taste as well as the quantity of the food was worth the price was been charged for. The quality was good.. The utensils provided to eat along with cutlery was washed and clean at a glance. Table and chair was in good condition to sit and eat and not wobbly. The parking here is free. The restroom was clean.

Authentic South Indian cuisine. True southern India flavor in Sambhar, Dosa’s and coconut chutney. All other South Indian food is great which includes Idly, Mendu Vada and upttapams. Didn’t like the North Indian items including channa chole masala (very sweet sugary not authentic chole) with two large bhatura(which are more like large puri’s). For appetizers we tried chaat dahi puri and pani puri which are okay not very good but do the job of chaat. Chilli Paneer falls in the same category it’s good not great. South Indian food is excellent no one can beat them! We been coming here from many years only for there Dosa’s and Vada’s!

We were looking for all vegetarian restaurants, and Dosa Grill menu was different and had both south and north Indian specialists. We tried few items and liked the quality of the food and chutneys(freshly made) Gobhi 65, Vadai, Rava dosa, Adai avial, Ghee idli sambar, mumbai street dosa. Service was quite quick. Otlny couple servers, but they kept checking on us and other tables despite the crowded restaurant. food was hot temperature, which made it good for the cold weather. They even adjusted the spice level for a couple items upon request. Couldn't get photos of everything, coz we ate as soon as the food came.

I have ordered 2 uttapam one gun powder and other paneer… the panner uttapam was so hard to chew and sambhar were ridiculous. Felt like we are drinking daal. I am not to sure, how people been giving the ratings. Either dont know the taste or might be just dont know any other better place to eat. But according to my taste this place is not worth eating the food or wasting money on it.

Nice cozy restaurant, good for South Indian real taste, we tried three different Dosas and Thali too, taste was good and authentic, Thali comes with coffee as no extra cost, rates are reasonable and service is beyond our expectations.

Absolutely incredible. Authentic and delicious. We tried the Mumbai dosa, the chili onion cheese dosa, dahi poori, and idly w/sambar. The Mumbai dosa was by far the best. We ended with coffee and chai and both were heavenly.

Finally someone got the crispness, taste and size of Uthappam correct. In addition to uthappam, we also ordered onion chili rava dosa, plain dosa, Bhel puri and gobi 65. For a Monday evening, I wasn’t expecting crowd but this place was packed. Still our orders arrived promptly. Gobi 65 was delicious and crispy. Bhel was also fresh. I am from Chennai so my expectations for sambhar is very high. Sambhar was decent !!! Ended the dinner with sweet pan. Overall a very satisfactory experience. Face masks were mandated inside so happy with that as well. Facility was clean and ambience was good. The hospitality staff were courteous and helped with menu. I saw many people ordered their thali and next time I plan to try that!!

To be honest, up to recently I was meat eater, enjoyed meat and fish, with veggies, but recently due to health issues I was advised by my doctor to try eating vegetable diet and only certain vegetables to be exact. My doctor recommended this place and we became frequent visitors due to the quality of food, service and taste of the food that my wife and I really enjoyed. Their dosas are amazing, fresh, cooked a specified and requested with other dishes as well. We asked for some options, since I have to have ghee cooked foods in my diet and it was done. We even met few of the staff over time and everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. We always got to go options and the orders were prepared and packed with great accuracy and detail. Love this place and can't wait to go back.

We recently placed a small catering order and the food was excellent. Usually, restaurants do not accept small orders but this place was amazing. The order was placed with ease and the customer service was amazing. Very highly recommend this place for the wonderful food and efficient service too.
