A very cozy little place which gives you a nice welcoming feeling. You feel like you stepped home and not in a restaurant. Food is amazing, quite a variety of drinks also, the only downside, the food is quite pricey in comparison to others that you can find in a 10 mile radius. But you need to try it at least once as definitely worth it. 🙂

Apart from the gravy being a tad runny for my liking the food was fantastic. Service was great too, however would have preferred one server as opposed to several. Definitely recommend and will be returning.

Wonderful food, beautiful environment and wonderful staff. Had the best time here for NYE. If you're in the area it's certainly worth a visit.

Enjoyed some great food, the ambience is lovely, especially with the fires burning. Staff were really good, made to feel welcome, we spent hours chatting, drinking and eating. Will definitely be going back.

Such a lovely place, had such a lovely meal and the staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back to try the other menu options.

The service afforded us on our visit was excellent. We had a wheelchair user and the staff could not been more helpful in getting us in and the table allocation was just perfect. Table service was excellent - polite, friendly and attentive. Although busy we did not have to wait for our food. All three dishes were thoroughly enjoyed.

Attentive staff deal well with busy Saturday evening. Good menu for most tastes with some more than usual fish dishes and a specials board. Cooked well and tasty if a little plain IMO. Fair prices and traditional decor and furnishings inside. Plenty of garden space. Children's play area was outside. Big venue able to cope with groups and party bookings.

Lovely food. Very friendly staff. I had booked a large table for a get together and we pre ordered and everything was so smooth and pleasant. It was not too loud, so everyone could hear each other speaking. Thankyou for looking after us and we will be back soon.

Nice relaxed Sunday lunch with daughter and granddaughters, accompanied by our German Shepherd dog. Staff were friendly and efficient. Fursty Ferret beer was excellent! Thanks Rocky, great service.

I believe the chef may have sold his soul to the devil. The food is outstandingly delicious. Even the kids meals were very tasty. I had the beef shin, followed by the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I have to say, that pudding was the single most delicious pudding I have ever eaten. The atmosphere and service matched the food. Friendly, polite staff, in a airy comfortable space. I can't say enough good things about this place. Worth every penny.

After a 10 mile Easter was it was the best way to finish our journey with a cold pint, would definitely recommend

I stopped here on my way home, what a mistake that was, I ordered a pint of ale, which wasn't good, but the choise was so poor that I suffered it, but didn't finish it, I also ordered the fish pie (pastry) and vegetables, it came out in about 3 minutes which I was quite shocked by, I very soon realised how they achieved this, the pie was rock solid and the vegetables had obviously been kept warm for hours as they were flavourless, limp and inedible! This was possibly the worst pub meal I've ever had, I didn't even get the chance to tell the staff as nobody came to my table to ask if everything was OK and they make you pay first. I will never return to this soulless, poor excuse for a pub, it is horrible!

The pub has it all, great food (fish and chips are hearty portions) helpful staff, dog friendly and spotlessly clean. Super array of areas to sit and chat and spend time with special people.

Lots of simple, little things that should be standard practice in the pub industry weren’t done: drink order wasn’t taken when we sat down, had to wait 10 minutes; water was asked for and we had to go up to the bar to chase it up; not checked on whilst eating to see if we like the food and would like another drink(I did); my wife asked for garlic butter when ordering which they didn’t have but we weren’t told that until the food came out; not offered sauces for our chips; took over 5 minutes to bring over dessert menu. And they don’t take cash which is only signed on a small, nondescript a4 sign by the door. It’s not like it was busy either, less than half full. The food however was very nice, apart from the vegetables which had been boiled to mush.

The food was good, with sensible prices, and the service was fine, but beware.... Drink prices are very high. There is a drinks menu without prices on the table. When the bill was presented I discovered that a 250ml glass of Malbec red wine was priced at £11.50, and the same size glass of Sauvignon Blanc was £10. Other drink prices were similarly high. It's a shame that the proprietors are so greedy, because the food was good and well-priced. They've lost customers, because this would stop me going back.

Always a great place to stop for lunch, we often pop in on our way to our son's as it is situated on the A272 just outside of Petersfield. There is an excellent choice of beautiful food and the ambiance great. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we're always made welcome. Well worth a visit.

A family friendly pub with great food and a good selection of quality beers. Lucky locals. Has parking and kids outdoor play area.

We went in on a Sunday without booking. They fitted us in and looked after us very well. We each had a roast, mine being the vegetarian option. The food was served quickly, was very hot and delicious! The staff were very friendly, checked everything was ok but didn't bother us too much either. We will definitely return to try some more dishes. Thanks!!!

The food took a long time to come out but once it arrived, it was beautiful - worth the wait! A generous portion too. The 2 young staff members serving us were talking very loudly about the cannabis they'd smoked before work and details of 'picking up a score' etc which was a surprise to hear at 2pm on a Sunday! But, they were very kind, polite and good at their jobs. The area we were seated in was bright, open and clean. A nice experience 😊

Beautiful pub! Huge menu with lots of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Food came quickly and was delicious. The crew were friendly and helpful. It's a dog friendly pub, but be sure to let them know if you want to sit inside when you book as one half of the pub is allocated for dogs and the other is not. Would definitely return!

Initially greeted by a rather blunt/almost rude (what I assume was a) manager, our large group were sat in the table service area. Seven stars has clear separate areas for table service, regular pub, and outdoor seating, as do many others.. Can't fault the fantastic service from the younger very friendly staff, who were very careful and accommodating of any allergies, and especially patient with the younger members of our group. We arrived at 12pm just before the Sunday Lunch rush. The portions were generous, especially the Sunday Roasts. We were there during a record breaking heatwave in the UK so became uncomfortably hot after a while, but that's an exception and not how it would normally be. Overall, the drinks arrived fairly quickly, and the food and service were good value for the price and location. Plenty of parking for anyone driving there. Only area for improvement would be the more senior staff that greet you upon arrival, who managed to make both the adults and children feel uncomfortable with their attitude. Hopefully they were just having a tough day, or tired and it was no reflection on their normal attitude towards larger groups or ethnic minorities. It was our first time in the area, and being from London and the West Midlands, was impressed at the range of vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options that the chef offered so hats off to them. A lot of other country pubs in the area I've been to before have been inflexible with menus and dietary requirements, but these guys were impressively accommodating so thank you! As we left, the whole pub and car park was full so clearly a popular choice, and not bad value for money. Thanks again to the friendly, patient and cheerful waiting staff who went above and beyond.

Lovely large pub. Staff were brilliant and helpful. Food was really good. Plant burger was exceptional.

This pub was much bigger than I expected. Big car park to match. Greeting was well organised and efficient. Staff very helpful. Nice and airy inside. Food arrived in good time and portions were very adequate. Prices were reasonable. I had the ploughman’s lunch which was excellent.

Booked a family meal for 8 on Easter Sunday and had an exceptional time. Food was very very good with good vegan options as well as the family faves and a traditional Sunday Roast... they even allow dogs in with the diners, which I love

Had a lunch here, sandwich was not what I ordered, meant to have been on brown bread given white bread with no explanation. Others ordered off the on-line menu but where informed that this menu and been changed recently. They need to ensure that both menus are the same

About 15 bikers descended and most ate, the food was tasty, the staff very polite and great parking for the bikes... Much appreciated.

Excellent location, varied menu, food well cooked. Service despite some staff shortages was good. What set it apart from recent pub/restaurants was that the waiting staff knew their jobs, engaged with customers and were attentive, Charlotte in particular was excellent.

Lovely large country pub with plenty of parking. Very friendly & helpful staff. Broad range of drinks. Good selection of food including plant based options. I was pleased to see plant based options on the kids menu too. The food was very tasty, the price reasonable. Sad to see the playground has gone, it would be good to see this replaced. Overall highly recommended pub. Thanks
