Initially
greeted
by
a
rather
blunt/almost
rude
(what
I
assume
was
a)
manager,
our
large
group
were
sat
in
the
table
service
area.
Seven
stars
has
clear
separate
areas
for
table
service,
regular
pub,
and
outdoor
seating,
as
do
many
others..
Can't
fault
the
fantastic
service
from
the
younger
very
friendly
staff,
who
were
very
careful
and
accommodating
of
any
allergies,
and
especially
patient
with
the
younger
members
of
our
group.
We
arrived
at
12pm
just
before
the
Sunday
Lunch
rush.
The
portions
were
generous,
especially
the
Sunday
Roasts.
We
were
there
during
a
record
breaking
heatwave
in
the
UK
so
became
uncomfortably
hot
after
a
while,
but
that's
an
exception
and
not
how
it
would
normally
be.
Overall,
the
drinks
arrived
fairly
quickly,
and
the
food
and
service
were
good
value
for
the
price
and
location.
Plenty
of
parking
for
anyone
driving
there.
Only
area
for
improvement
would
be
the
more
senior
staff
that
greet
you
upon
arrival,
who
managed
to
make
both
the
adults
and
children
feel
uncomfortable
with
their
attitude.
Hopefully
they
were
just
having
a
tough
day,
or
tired
and
it
was
no
reflection
on
their
normal
attitude
towards
larger
groups
or
ethnic
minorities.
It
was
our
first
time
in
the
area,
and
being
from
London
and
the
West
Midlands,
was
impressed
at
the
range
of
vegetarian/vegan/gluten
free
options
that
the
chef
offered
so
hats
off
to
them.
A
lot
of
other
country
pubs
in
the
area
I've
been
to
before
have
been
inflexible
with
menus
and
dietary
requirements,
but
these
guys
were
impressively
accommodating
so
thank
you!
As
we
left,
the
whole
pub
and
car
park
was
full
so
clearly
a
popular
choice,
and
not
bad
value
for
money.
Thanks
again
to
the
friendly,
patient
and
cheerful
waiting
staff
who
went
above
and
beyond.
