We couldn’t get the tickets online and couldn’t get when were there. When we were about to leave, the lady at the counter let us board the ride due to no show. It was a very nice ride and nice hot chocolate & Santa waiting for us. Definitely a nice experience for my family. Thank you so much. 👍

I took my 2.5 year old son and he had a blast! He enjoyed the trolley ride and being able to climb on the different trolleys. The staff are all volunteers and they were very welcoming!

A little disappointed, because they oversold tickets for our scheduled time, even after we acquired the tickets and reserved online. So, we had to wait about 50 minutes for the next trolley ride. Everyone from the gift shop to the conductor were great. The history of trolleys, not only from Connecticut, but from other states is well preserved with them. Great for kids, especially if they love trains or trolleys.

Absolutely amazing! A fantastic place to visit with an amazing staff and volunteers. Can't wait to go again and again! At $10 for an adult and child it is a bargain and well worth every penny. Thank you Trolley Staff for being absolutely amazing!

Wonderful for anyone who's interested in trains and the history of the electric trolley. The museum building is small but the yards where you can see the trains is quite large in the trolley ride is an experience.

Was a fun experience for the kids. We did the visit Santa experience wherein you get to ride the trolley and then you can go visit with santa. Kids were given a small bag with a coloring booklet, candy cane, as well as a bag with few pieces of biscuit, and a cup of hot cocoa. The museum itself is small but very interesting. It's a nice first time trolley experience for kids.

Wonderful trip on a trolley line which was built in 1900. Passing through the salt marshes and saw the tides come in and out. After the trolley completes the run, the vehicle is turned around. Then a stop at the barn where I was able to see other well preserved trolleys. Visiting the museum was a treat. I highly recommend the museum. The staff are so friendly and want to answer questions and explain the trolleys and street car transportation. I really recommend a trip to the Shore Line Trolley Museum.

Kids really enjoyed riding the trolley! Tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Wish there was a better way for them to display the trolleys they have; it's a shame that they're all shoved into a single structure where there's not a lot of walking room. Definitely worth the visit!

I was there Saturday for the Trolley Parade. Tickets were at a premium that day but they don't tell you of the up-charge on the website. Tickets were $15, no discounts for seniors, etc. I purchased tickets online, poor system, you never get a ticket or even an acknowledging email. Fortunately i had no problem on the day of the event. Spent just over 2 hours there, if there wasn't a parade it would have been a shorter visit but well worth it to see all the cars in motion. I'll be going to CT Trolley Museum in East Windsor, CT later this week. I look forward to comparing.

I arrived around 11:30AM and the 12pm ride/tour was sold out. They apparently do a ride from the museum/parking lot to their trolley barn and do a 45-minute tour there. I was able to check out the museum and gift shop for free but had to skip the ride/tour.

The trolley museum is an amazing experience! We participated in the guest operator program and thoroughly enjoyed learning about and operating the trolleys! The staff and volunteers are great and love what they do! The collection is also diverse and impressive! I highly recommend for families, history lovers, and train and machine lovers!

It's a very nice place to go with a kid and it doesn't require a lot of time to explore all the exhibits

What an awsome find. A great place for some local history. Trolley conductor/tour guide was excellent, so worth a visit. If your kids like Thomas they will love riding the trolley, it would be a great spot for a birthday or team building event.

This was our fourth year visiting the trolley museum. It is one of our summer stops that we look most forward too. Our children love to explore the trolley yard and ride the trolley. We were very disappointed this year with our experience. Our “tour guide” stuck to a strict schedule that we feel he created and took us on a quick tour of the trolley yard, explained them quickly and then corralled everyone back on the trolley. Previous years we were able to walk around freely, ask questions, sit in the subway car from the World Trade Center and explore the inside of other trolleys, learn about the tool used to fix them, where they used to travel to and from and other fun and interesting facts of history. This year we experience none of that. Our children were devastated and family members who were with us visiting for the first time have no desire to go back. Just wasn’t the same fun experience we have always had. Hopefully next year we will have a better time.

Enjoyed this experience a lot and it worth every single penny. As an adult, for $12, you get to ride on the historical trolley 🚋, I did it during the summer, while there is no AC on the trolley, the mash view and the breeze makes it so enjoyable. They also take a stop at the train depot (barn), where you can see other historical trolleys/ trains. Great trip for transportation enthusiasts and kids alike!

Really quaint museum and trolley ride. It was informative and interesting. We enjoyed learning about the trolley system of CT as well as the knowledgeable tour we had of the train yard.

This place is amazing! A little expensive for a family of 5 but it's incredibly clean, they give you a tour of everything they have, and you can stay as long as you'd like. Highly recommend it, especially for people with children.

The show was excellent. This weekend, starting Friday night is your last chance to see it. Go to their website for tickets.

Lots of cool information and they have trolley rides! I went for a birthday party and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Ive been going there since I was a kid and love trolleys. Today I had a great time at a child's birthday party, "bring your own" pizza on the trolley ride through the marsh :) Birthday parties of any age are allowed with a membership, which is very inexpensive. Its always such a beautiful area to see. The conductor was very knowledgeable about the history of the cars and a truly dedicated volunteer. They were very kind to the 3yr old birthday boy, who they showed how the car works. It was a great day out!

The Haunted Trolley hosted by Charles F Rosenay and Nick Grossmann was an experience like no other. I have been apart of a few Haunted attractions and this one beats them all. No actors jump out at you in fake costumes. It feels like the real deal. If you open your mind and get into it you can feel the magic! My friends and I had a blast.

I apologize in advance that I may be leaving 2 reviews but I can’t seem to find my first one so here goes the second because I think it’s worth the review. The Haunted Trolly was the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit! A group of us attended this event and weren’t sure what to expect. I have to say we all had an amazing time. The entire experience was so much fun. The “showman and the Shaman“ made this event unforgettable. When they spoke you had no other option but to be drawn into exactly what they were saying and they made it the perfect amount of creepy and spooky. We can’t wait to do it again.

This is a great museum. I was fascinated by how extensive the trolley network was in Connecticut and dismayed that it was lost. The route the trolley's take is beautiful, and they have an impressive number of cars.

I went my my 3 and 5 year olds yesterday and it was a nice time for everyone. I personally enjoyed the history from the conductors and the the classic music at the entrance. My kids loved the trolley ride and exploring the various cars. It’s a hidden gem for sure!

I visited on a weekend and they had thier collection out! So much fun! About Everything on tracks that could move moved, and it was 🌞!!!!! I was so hot but it was so cool! I had a nice dinner at the diner after. The staff was great. Seeing the Subway Cars retrofitted with a Trolley Pole to run was cool to. So much history and knowledge. If I remember a guest got heat exhausted at one point and staff knew what to do and got the transit parade stopped ✋ to get guest in and out via ambulance 🚑. Good job 👏👍 Look forward to again

Amazing trip to the history of trolley trains and transition to buses. The people are as good as they get and happy to talk to you answer your questions as many times as you want. The preservation of track, trolley and the history is something we all should contribute towards. A place to must visit on your trip to new Haven. And yes, kids will remember this forever! Not to mention that the adults will enjoy equally.

Went there for a birthday party. It was great! Took a couple rides down the line and the conductor let the birthday boy drive!
