For
the
last
decade,
I
dreamt
of
Boots
&
Kimo's
macadamia
nut
sauce
pancakes.
I
visited
B&K
11
years
ago
when
they
were
at
a
smaller
one-off
plaza.
Back
then,
I
remember
waiting
1.5
hrs
but
it
was
totally
worth
it.
So
after
a
decade
and
change,
here
I
was
reliving
my
dream.
B&K
had
moved
to
a
larger
spot
and
had
a
line
in
front
even
at
8am
opening.
But
oh
boy
were
the
pancakes
just
as
I
remembered
them.
This
time,
we
had
French
Toast
with
the
macadamia
nut
sauce
as
well
and
it
was
simply
heavenly.
The
toast
was
thick
and
soft
and
went
perfectly
with
the
sauce.
The
banana
pancakes
were
also
fluffy.
My
3
kids
gobbled
them
up
like
there
was
no
tomorrow.
We
also
had
an
omelette
rice
which
was
also
lovely.
The
only
blemish
of
the
day
was
that
the
interior
was
a
weird
mixture
of
sports
jerseys
(which
I
think
was
there
11
years
ago
but
not
as
prominent)
and
the
place
smelled
a
bit
funky.
I
couldn't
also
help
feel
that
they
were
trying
to
shuttle
through
as
many
customers
as
possible
but
that's
understandable
given
their
popularity.
B&K
is
a
true
gem
of
Oahu.
One
must
pay
a
visit
to
this
sacred
location.
