Highly recommend if your in the Tampa Bay Area to check out this place! Went there for a Josh Turner concert, and had a blast! Two floor club that primarily features country music and country bands. Second floor has a area featuring normal club music. Staff is very polite and friendly

This review is for Wednesday evening dancing at Dallas Bull. A nice light crowd, and a nice light dance floor with good music. If you like to couples dance (2 step or other couples dances) try this place on either Wednesday or Friday night. Best dance floor in the area and they have it marked for line dancers and couples on the outside lane. Security here is good about keeping drinks and idiots off the dance floor. They are also good at removing people who like to stand on the dance floor and talk. Music is good with a good volume. Also very nice seating. Also dj will take requests if your looking for a certain song to dance too. Friendly staff and good drinks.

Security is the worst. I was bullied by the security guard named Chris plus 2 others. They took me outside as a woman alone wouldn't let my friend with me as they degraded me verbally said I gave alcohol to a minor. Chris is really on some kind of power trip that has a lot to learn that he seems dangerous. I would not be surprised if it is him they are writing all the bad reviews about. They did not throw out the so-called minor they only told me I had to leave. The guy who was really tall and big did not look like a minor. I took my friend that was in town being her mom passed to come get away. I was just trying to take her out to have a good time. I don't go to Dallas Bull I surely won't go back. She likes country music we had taken an Uber from the casino where we were staying. We had just seen Needtobreathe amazing Christian Country concert. We just got in there not knowing they let minors in. I had no clue that minors could go to bars/clubs because I usually don't go to them. I got my beer then some tall and big guy who seemed like had been drinking stuck his cup in my face asking for some of my beer. I just thought since ladies were getting free drinks he wanted some of my drink I just had gotten. I was made to feel like a criminal that I am in with intentions to do that. I was just clueless about the situation. It was quite scary how I was treated. I felt horrible to even think it was a possibility I did that without knowing. I had just got my drink headed towards my friend not much thinking we just got in. My friend has a video of it. They treated her awfully so disrespectfully too, but she was more about fighting for what was right on my behalf. We waited around to see if the so-called minor was asked to leave. He was never put out. I just felt so set up. My friend wants to post the video, but I told her not to let me do a review. Let me have time to go in and talk to the manager. It seems though they do have some big issues with security to how they are on some power trips. Chris surely was on a power trip. I was just in shock with the situation. Grateful my friend was telling them about themselves and thought to take video. I am not a confrontational person so didn't need the horrible treatment I had received by Chris.

Very cult like. If you didn’t know every step of the line dances you were out of place. No where to openly dance and have a good time. I should’ve studied for a week before going for a night out to dance. Bad time. All around bad vibes. Very rude people who go there. Employees are nice. But not a good atmosphere if you’re looking to let loose and have a good time.

The bull was the place to go back in the day. Since all of the recent rules changes and how disrespectful they are about people not knowing them, myself and others are not going anymore. Cowboys dance hall, stockyard, joyland and occ are all great alternatives. Super welcoming to new people and they play classics and new songs. The bull does not support non country songs and does not want to evolve with the new times.

Love going here! Everyone that works there is so nice. I always have a blast. Shout out to security. If it's late and dark they will make sure you get to your car safely if you ask. Good drinks too! Thanks!

UPCHURCH rocked the house Feb 25th. Not over crowded! Security was on point! Gave the bartender her choice for my drink, don’t know what it was, but it was amazing! Friendly staff! Bathrooms were clean!

Nice club but this is exclusively only for american people who likes country music .the club is good with nice country music and line dancing but not a social place to go to meet or dance with new people. few regulars dance very good and we can all stare at them 🤪.there was a time one of my friend needed someone to help call an uber since her phone charge was drained , all we got an answer from the security and country boys are "i dunno" ,overall a very careless crowd. we all think as macho country man but seriously they are not 🤣😂

Had a really good time. Very nice atmosphere all the security was nice. Just played pool and talked to pretty girls! My only problem was downstairs the drinks were nice and strong, but upstairs they were so weak(watched the young lady make them and she only put half a shot lol). I was tipping so I don’t know why I got good drinks downstairs but weak ones upstairs. Either way great bar, will def come back!

Very fun! We went for live show & had a blast. I don't know how the bartenders keep up with the crowd but they do. I never waited too long for a drink n the place was packed.

I have been line dancing at the bull for almost a year now and usually only went on Thursdays and Fridays. They were the two days I looked forward to the most in my week because of how much I loved going. The people, the atmosphere, the music, the dancing, everything was absolutely amazing. I then started trying out Saturdays and realized they were not as much fun as the previous days. The music was not very good and there were barely any popular line dances played at all. It was mostly swing dancing songs which would normally be fine, but paying $20 every Saturday just to sit around was not fun. My friends and I decided to give Saturdays one more shot and dear lord, it was the most fun we’ve ever had. The reason: BOBBY WAS THE DJ! I have never met him before that night but he became my favorite person and absolutely KILLED the music selection. If he were DJ more often, I would always be going to the bull. BOBBY FOR DJ

The Dallas Bull has been the affectionately referred to “home bar” for my country dancing friend group over the last few months. Typically, our schedule is Thursday and Friday here due to the atmosphere of dancing and good jams, but avoiding on Saturday as a result of music that catered to more standard country fans rather than those looking to dance (and $20 for entry isn’t the best when you want to dance rather than drink). That being said, this past Saturday was the best we’ve encountered so far. Deciding to take a chance on a random Saturday evening, the DJ (Bobby) was absolutely fantastic. Every song request, recommendation, or even possibility we hadn’t considered was on and the crowd was HYPE. Bobby really brought the Thursday and Friday energy to Saturday nights - my group and I hope to see him spinning tracks again next week, and hopefully many more weeks to come. BOBBY for DJ!!

I’ve tried to like this place. I really want to learn line dancing. However, the lessons cater to experienced line dancers. Please have something for beginners! Even the Friday night lessons are too advanced and the instructor takes tiny steps so it’s hard to tell what she’s doing. Also, please have sink or swim be optional. It’s not fair to pay 20 bucks if I don’t plan to drink.

I’ve been a regular at the bull for a while and this past Saturday (7/22/23) was by far the most fun I’ve had! The DJ was amazing!! I found out his name is Bobby and it was fantastic! Great energy and kept everyone dancing the whole night!

Im a regular at the Bull and for the first time in a while I went on a Saturday night (in the past I’ve never been much of a fan of Saturdays) Bobby was such a great DJ, the crew and I are planning more Saturday’s!! He played some major bops that we all loved!! We all would love to have him DJ more downstairs 🎉🎉

I have been going to the Bull every week for about 6 months now. I absolutely love how friendly everyone is and dancing with my friends is the highlight of my week. About 15 of us come every Thursday and Friday and we used to come Saturdays but the DJ usually isn’t great…HOWEVER…we decided to come out this past Saturday and Bobby was THE BEST DJ. If he DJ’d every Saturday my group and many others we talked to said they would come EVERY Saturday. Bobby is the best! He would definitely drive revenue. Just to give some numbers… with my group alone coming on Saturdays again if he was the DJ it would up profits $300! BOBBY FOR DJ!!!

I bought tickets two weeks ago for Chris Lane. My family had an unexpected occurrence happen within the our family so we could not attend the concert. Ric from the venue responded with a refund with no problem. We will be going back and highly encourage anyone and everyone to take a night at the Dallas Bull. You won’t regret it! 🤠

Great atmosphere but it gets so hot inside. They need to invest in some fans or more cooling capacity. It’s brutal inside. Dancers are dripping in sweat.

Since I don't like the taste of alcohol, I always request a drink that tastes the least like alcohol as possible. This place delivered as I got a purple concoction that tasted like fruit and whipped cream. It was one of the best drinks I've ever had and that is really saying something as it comes from someone who doesn't like to drink.

$20 bucks to get in the door now, even on a non concert night!?! Absolutely ridiculous. Just a few years ago it was $5 bucks. American greed at its finest.

The Dallas Bull has always been one of my favorite bars to go to! It's not just one of those bars that you go and drink. You can dance to awesome music and play games and pool. Highly recommend. For those that are posting about the security being too strict, unfortunately they have to be strict to keep the crowd from getting too crazy. I bartended there many years ago and know how hard it can be with lots of people.

Nice place to go to line dance, two step, west coast & east coast swing what ever fits the beat of the music! And when your healing from surgery it's even a great place to watch everyone and listen to the music!!!

The security is a joke. My husband was standing and minding his own business, we weren’t drinking at all. A security guard with some major power struggle issues came up to him in a threatening manner and got in his face telling him to come outside. When we were asking what the problem is, he grabbed my husband and physically took him out of the club. Come to find out, the security guard made a mistake and had the incorrect person. Then kicked us out because he felt like we had an attitude. Of course we aren’t happy after you just physically assaulted my husband. It was completely uncalled for and the Dallas Bull got themselves a lawsuit. You can’t just put your hands on someone for no reason.

The bar itself is great but the music is awful,,, if you really want to dance this is not the place for you. Every song the DJ plays is his custom version of a 70's song. During the entire night we didn't hear a song that was current.

Very fun club but three weeks in a row I’ve brought my girlfriend in and three times in a row the old security guard in gray shirt feels the need to overly compliment her on her looks. I wouldn’t care if it happened once but literally three weeks in a row. I don’t want any issues or to get into it with security and she feels weird about it so we simply won’t be back. Bartenders were very professional though and the dancing is very fun.

So much fun! Everyone is so nice and friendly. I love going to this place. I just wish I live closer so I can go every week and learn of the line dances!!!! Love this place💖

I went on Saturday and overall it’s a decent bar, but I can’t really compare it to any of the others in the same category as this one is the first “country” bar I’ve been to in Tampa. As everyone has said, there’s two floors but the hip hop floor seems like they just go on YouTube and search “hip hop music”- take that as you will. The first floor has a lot of line dancing and that’s primarily what the dance floor is used for. There’s pool tables and a bull, but the mechanical bull is usually not working and always broken as told to me by regulars. If you’ve never been to Dallas bull, I do think you should go at least once.

I was there for a Bachelorette Party, and Dallas Bull didn't disappoint. Renee was an excellent bartender, the prices were very affordable, and the line dancing was wonderful, albeit a bit intimidating.

  • 2/5 Alan C. 11 months ago on Google
This place is bottom tier mediocre. Layout and lighting is not conducive to nightlife environment - too many lights are on and it’s hot. Drinks are absolute hot dog water - bartenders pour mixed drinks with little to no alcohol. They charge a $20 cover charge with the gimmick of unlimited well drinks but the wait to get them is absolute aids.

  • 5/5 Michele P L. 11 months ago on Google
Bartenders are great super friendly and always fast with the lines. Music is great most nights. I’m a beginner so I don’t get on the floor much but I enjoy it when I do. If you’re visiting the area check it out you won’t be disappointed. The floor does get a bit crowed sometimes just a heads up. Y’all will still have fun. Oh yes and I would be wrong if I didn’t mention how the ladies room is always clean and fully stocked and the the tenant is super sweet. She will help you with anything you need so don’t be afraid to ask.

I saw security be very aggressive with multiple patrons (dragging, shoving, getting in their face), I could understand if someone was drunk and acting a fool but these people were being cooperative. Totally unreasonable. Other than that nice bar good place to dance

  • 4/5 Patti B. 1 year ago on Google
Dance floor is good size and very nice. There are a lot of really good dancers. Unfortunately, most of the dances they do are old. The dj isn't very accommodating. The bartenders were amazing. The bathrooms are kept nicely. Overall it's a really nice place that plays really old music and has really good dancers.

I am a regular at this bar. I've been coming 2x a week for about 4-5 months. I've made a lot of good friends at this bar. It's a great experience. Beautiful ladies. Great dancing. Highly recommend making the leap and experiencing good country fun right here in Tampa.

It’s routine for my friends and I to spend our weekends at the Bull. But this past Saturday was unlike any other time we went. It was the most fun we had in a long time, considering the music was so good. We found out that the DJ was BOBBY!! He kept the energy alive the entire time and made for an unforgettable night. We really hope to see him more in the DJ booth!
