"When you expect nothing and get everything that's destiny." I love coming over here. I don't come here too often because I live in the city of Inglewood. The last time that I actually was here was about 6 years ago. And it's actually really nice I've been coming here since I was a little kid. And because I do love watching the movie blood in blood out. I've grown up watching that movie and it's one of my all time favorites. I felt really good to be back here Being back over here brought back so many good memories. ☺️ so to Quote Miklo "That Tree is East Los to Me. It's good to be back." And honestly it is good to be back

There's a lot of foot traffic right now but everyone is very respectful. You can see all of East Los from here. Hopefully it won't get chopped down.

The tree is just very inspiring and impacting when you're there. The view behind it is also very eye catching, beautiful I should say. I would definitely put your car on a lower gear to go up the hill. I had a little scare since I wasn't expecting the hill would be so steep 😂😂

Came to LA and I was not leaving without seeing El Pino from my favorite movie of all time. It was very inspiring just seeing El Pino and we had no problems there. Sure they could tell we weren't from the Barrio but they left us alone and we respected the Barrio. Vatos Locos Forever!!

They need to clean this spot up. Make it a nice historic place to see with better parking. Clearly does not make resident happy. The city should do better. I visited a random day in January and there was no traffic or parking enforcement around

This is a very cool little landmark! I wish they had more history on it. My husband told me all about it and how he grew up around it and watched the community grow! The area around the tree was not very clean, but the tree itself was amazing.

Free street parking available if you want to take a few minutes to take pictures with the iconic "el pino" from the movie Blood In Blood out or Sangre por Sangre

It was absolutely beautiful. I watched the movie Blood in blood out and I always wanted to see that tree. I'm from San Antonio, TEXAS and I finally got to see it!

I'm glad I was able to experience visiting this iconic tree in person. I hope they don't tear it down. It's such a beautiful majestic tree.

I came here just for the nostalgia that comes from the movie blood in blood out. It's a pretty large tree, but you really can't get too close because it's in someone's yard. It's a cool little spot to chill at.

If you know the movie "Sangre Por Sangre" aka "Blood in Blood Out", then you will recognize & be familiar with El Pino. Beautiful site to see almost from anywhere in East L.A. And up close is amazing! Parking can be a bit challenging, but there's always a way. Highly recommend this awesome landmark 👍👌

A historic landmark hidden in East LA featured in movies. Happened to have a ice cream truck pass by with a nice selection of stuff for kids. Very peaceful

It’s a must to come and see EL PINO at least once there’s isn’t much to do but just to take pictures and enjoy the view, don’t expect it to be like in the movie the main attraction is the pino I like how who ever bought the land put a fence around it to try to keep people out and somewhat maintain it. Very cool spot to drive by and take a picture…

So neat to be here. The tree is huge. The sunset absolutely amazing. Also the ice cream truck rolled up and it was actual ice cream not bars. A nice final topping to a pretty great day!

After seeing Blood in Blood out on a Saturday, if you go see this tree the next morning it’s like a religious awakening. Plus you get to see the beauty that is .. East Los.

I couldn't leave LA without visiting El Pino for my very first time. The parking enforcement attendant was nice enough to let me take a quick pic. Vatos Locos Forever!✌🏽👉🏽

Protect El Pino! I wish the city would provide a better fence for this landmark but of course they won't.

I went to see that pine tree where the movie Blood for Blood was recorded, very good and famous movie.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon. The landmark wasn't busy. It's on the middle of a neighborhood, so if you plan to park on the streets be considerate and don't double-park, leave a mess and not make crazy noise. Otherwise there is a small parking lot you can park and view the tree. The tree looks the same as it looked when "Blood In, Blood Out" was filmed. It was fenced around as of early September. You get a nice view of DTLA, and the surrounding areas. Overall, a good, quick stop to visit. Hopefully the tree doesn't get chopped down.

Amazing views and iconic site for all Blood in Blood out fans. To all foreigners, we felt safe and the area didn’t perpetuate the stereotype gang area. Vatos Locos forever karnal.. 💪🏻👍🏻

El Pino is best viewed from the top of the stairway which leads to the top at Folsom Street. There is parking off of Folsom Street and you can take the stairway down to Caesar Chavez Blvd. an the El Super parking lot.

Beautiful tree still standing tall. There's not a lot of parking, buy you can park on the street before you enter the actual street that slopes down.

Had to stop here and visit where my husband grew up. Amazing El Pino was still there after 4 decades. A lot of ppl stopped by to visit when we were there in July. It's pretty cool to see.

We came to see El Pino back in 2020 during COVID, from Chicago I thought I posted our pics. We have always wanted to see this since back in the day, once we saw it on one of our favorite movies of all time!! We watch Bound by Honor, Blood in Blood out over and over again! Vatos Locos Forever! Lol 😂

👍👍 I visited the pool area only, but it was awesome! The water was clean and warm, the lifeguards were present, and they had plenty of lockers, showers, and changing stalls. The best part it was free! Thurs, Fridays, and Saturday night swim is free! I will definitely go there again when in the area. Th...
