This was so cool to see and explore until the chimes went off. Very loud. Lol

The Chimes Tower is a great spot. Occasionally it becomes overgrown with ivy which imo is a detractor. I personally preferred the tower when the observation deck was accessible prior to the chime installation; best I recall I last accessed it in 1991.

I've been visiting Longwood Gardens ever since 2008, and I remember this Chimes Tower playing music, the carillon was really beautiful, I went a few days ago and took the camcorder with me to record the carillon playing and to record the video that talks about the carillon. I actually used to think the button that activates the video would make the carillon play. It wasn't loud at all either, and even though it's nice enough, they should have the upper portion open to visitors, they should also have a person show and tell the bells and carillon, I've always wondered to this day how it is played by a computer.

Been going to Longwood for years in the evening. This was the first time we’d ever walked over and saw the tower in the daylight.
