Every single time I call here to place a order 1 or 2 things happen the phone is always busy or 2 I'm on hold for so long that I have to eventually hang up. I said I'm going to just come I some to place my order. Maybe that would help but No!! It's even worse. The wait time is always so long whether I am waiting to order or waiting to receive my food. I'm so sick and tired of this. This place needs more workers who actually care because though their not disrespectful they do give off a I Don't feel Like being here type of attitude. I don't even get a I'll be with you shortly. Customer service sucks!! It's really unfortunate because I really enjoy their fried rice and jerk salmon...that they always seen to run out of everytime.

So I come here about 4x a month and the food is amazing. However I don’t know if the people hate their job or just don’t want to be there but I have NEVER received a warm welcome or a smile or any sort of greeting just NEXT. If you have customers you should make them feel more welcome to your establishment. Seriously l have been a long time customer here for over 2 years and today just through me over the top. If the food here wasn’t great I would of been stop coming here just because I feel like my business is not wanted or appreciated. Hope this review improves your hospitality being that your in that type of business. ( trying to support black owned business making us look bad😒)

Depending on who serves me is how my food turns out. This go around I had a bad experience with my meal. This food is too expensive to receive the back bone of the thigh. 3 of them on one plate. The taste is there but I have more potatoes then chicken the cheapest meat to buy.

Guyanese restaurants are scarce. So, it's great to find one where the service and food are excellent. Demi, one of the employees, is soft spoken and very kind. She serves from her heart. As a matter of fact, all the employees have been kind. Make the time and find out for yourself. The patties, plait bread, cassava pone are faves, thus far. The stew chicken is delicious too. Am fairly new to this restaurant; so, there's a host of other dishes to try. Did I mention they're open 7 days a week?? Don't miss this rare gem💫

Great food and one of my favorite go to spots! The fish cake, cheese roll, home made patties, curry, fresh sour… everything you could want for an authentic Guyanese experience! Will continue to patronize this place. ❤️

Spice N things has never disappointed me in the 5 years I’ve been a faithful customer. I literally eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners Andrea and Roger are such nice ppl, I can’t recall the amount of free nick nacks I’ve received over the years, you can tell they care about the quality of food and service they provide. Literally my favorite restaurant in East Orange hands down🙌🏾. I don’t have a favorite dish because I love everything they make. If you haven’t tried spice N things what are you waiting for, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I’m very delighted to leave this review especially being new to NJ. I was a fellow NY resident and I heard people raving about this particular Guyanese restaurant and I’m 100% Trini. From the breakfast to lunch/dinner and the desert is remarkable and the establishment is very family oriented which made me feel welcomed. I’ll be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Ordered 3 of basically the same item, 2 jerk chicken with rice, cabbage and gravy. 1 of the same except with beans. Each of the 3 rice boxes got less and less. First one had everything, second one missing plantains, third box had nothing except rice and 2 pieces of chicken. I would also like to add that I’ve frequented this at least once a month for 6-7 months. The service has gotten worse and worse. I don’t suggest coming here anymore.
