No issues here! Clean, comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Stayed during a bad ice storm and they did a great job of keeping salt on the lot and sidewalks. The rooms are older-styled, but still in great shape. I prefer the old style, so it’s no bother to me- it was very clean!

Staff 5 star! Breakfast attendant and desk clerks were courteous and professional. That being said, as a diamond member and frequent user of Hampton/Hilton, the room was not up to standard. Is it because the river is close? I don’t know, the room definitely had a musty odor and the bedding also. Actually put my sweater over the pillow it smelled that bad. Traces of black residue where wall/ceiling meet. Dim lighting in room- although the towels were cleaned, they were kind of damp also. Not a big deal and probably nothing for the hotel to do, but FYI the channels and guide do not match up- A lot of people complaining about the toaster at breakfast. First and last time at this location.

Great stay while in town for business. Great food near buy. Casino next door if that's your thing. Clean room with mini fridge. Nice pool with a nice small fitness room. The complementary breakfast if very nice with several items to choose from. Very nice overall place to stay. Staff is awesome. Will be back in the East Peoria area many times in the future. I would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Great location and easy on/off I-74. Hilton has not got to this property yet to conduct upgrades. I had a king bed but no mini-fridge. The shower drain was VERY slow. Especially when the price tag was over $200 before taxes. I know - first world problems. This review isn't so much a complaint as it is a reminder to myself when traveling through the area again. I hope Hilton focuses on them soon.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The lady who checked us in was one of a kind. Super kind and helpful. You could tell she enjoyed her job and mixing with people, not only was she pleasant with us but even humorous with a man who locked himself out of his room. She was exceptional….and the room was very nice. We will be back.

Everything was okay. Some things were bad. Like there was a really bad constant smell of marijuana as soon as you walked in the middle door next to the maintenance room. My room smelled like smelly feet. There was not a refrigerator or microwave in one of my crews room. I had a refrigerator but no microwave. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of grab and go options. Overall if You are coming for the casino the rooms are fine, because of the convince of the casino being so close.

An overnight stop from here to there. Chose for pet friendly and price. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. When we asked to change rooms so we weren't next door to another pet family (our dog would have been smelling and searching all night) the change wasn't an issue. Our room was clean. The bed comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hotel needs to be updated! The decor is old and a bit worn. The toilet didn't have a lot of flushing strength. The door didn't always latch so you had to push/pull (in room/hallway) to make it latch which wasn't reassuring. The outside door to building indicated it was locked but you could pull it open without the key card.

Great location to attend a concert at the Peoria Civic Center. Service was good, beds were comfortable & breakfast was good. We saw several military personnel at breakfast in the morning; we were told there's a military base nearby. There was no mini-fridge in the room to put our leftovers from Texas Roadhouse restaurant. I thought that a mini-fridge was a standard requirement in guestrooms. Not sure why the bathroom toilet is very low to the ground & no fan to vent the shower steam from the bathroom. You could see & feel the moisture lingering on the back of the bathroom door, walls, ceiling & mirror. We were on the 2nd floor that had viewing windows to the pool area below. Once we stepped out of the elevator we could smell chlorine. This Hampton Inn is located next to the casino along the river, nearby highway I-74 & not far from downtown Peoria. There are several nearby restaurants, gas stations & retail stores.

We are a Hilton Honors member and we always stay at Hampton Inn's when we travel. We love Hampton rooms. This location was very different from all of our other experiences though. As usual, the breakfast was great. The room was ok. Didn't feel as clean as other locations. We liked the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Liked the movable desktop/table. The pool was nice and for a Friday night...we had it to ourselves. Our complaint was the bed. Nothing like any other Hampton bed. Tossed and turned all night and could not get comfortable. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but came home to sleep after 1 night.

Our stay was not a good one. The hotel was not in the best shape itself. It could stand some updating. We stayed two nights and the last night we returned to our room and the it was not touched. It was the way we left it in morning. Bed was unmade and dirty towels were on floor. We had to call to get more towels and we even had to go and get them. That night I got bit by something on my wrist and it is swollen and itches. I am a Hilton Honors member and I was not impressed.

Watch out for the hyper-vigilant and rude worker in the breakfast room! I had clean socks on my feet and took one single step into the breakfast area. I was immediately stopped and told that I couldn't come in til I had shoes on. Umm....no thanks. I won't be coming back to your prissy little breakfast area. In fact, I won't be back at all. Sorry.

We decided to leave Wisconsin the night before we planned to avoid snow. I was able to book 2 rooms for a reasonable price here. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast was great to get our day started. Good location. Would stay again if ever in the area.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in East Peoria and had a mixed experience overall. While the hotel had some positives, there were also significant negatives that affected my stay. Starting with the positives, the location of the hotel was great. It provided easy access to a variety of restaurants and shopping areas, which was convenient during my visit. Additionally, the ample parking availability was a welcome feature. The breakfast offered at the hotel was also enjoyable. It provided a good selection of options and helped start the day off on a positive note. Unfortunately, there was a significant issue with the cleanliness of the room. I discovered bed bugs during the night and promptly informed the front desk in the morning. They promptly changed my room, which was appreciated. However, finding bed bugs in a hotel, especially one belonging to the Hilton chain, was unexpected and quite disappointing. Furthermore, the lack of follow-up or consolation from the hotel staff regarding the bed bug incident indicated poor customer service. A situation like this should have been handled with more care and concern for the guest's experience. While I understand that my booking was last-minute due to limited availability in East Peoria that week, I expected a higher level of quality and service from a Hilton-affiliated property. Considering the negative experience and the lack of satisfactory response, I am hesitant to give Hampton Inn East Peoria another chance in the future.

Not quite the Hilton/Hampton experience I have come to expect. The hotel doesn’t quite share a parking lot with the casino so we were a little worried about the safety of our car in the parking lot. Despite being a pet friendly hotel, there is not a lot of green space or room to exercise a dog near the property. It was reasonably quiet from 11pm - 7am while we slept. The room was really dated, musty, and small. There wasn’t even a mini fridge and no fan in the bathroom. The shower head had pink moldy buildup and was a cheap style, but at least it was placed high enough. The hot water was nice and hot. I wasn’t sure how to rate the service, since I used the app for check in and checkout with a digital key. I had a little trouble getting the digital key to come up initially but then it worked great. We will stay elsewhere next time we’re in Peoria.

We were displaced by fire Memorial Day weekend. We came into this hotel, about 10:30 pm, tired, dirty and not feeling very safe. We were met at the front desk with a heavenly smile. The staff here are awesome people. We where guests for almost 6 weeks. These kind, compassionate, people went out of there way to make us feel at home. They became our Hilton Family. We wish to thank Connie, Felicia, Billie, CeCe, Steve, William, Ryan, Angie, John and the rest of the staff. From the good morning greetings and smiles, the fabulous breakfast that is prepared with care and love daily and all of the wonderful conversations we had and for all of the encouragement they gave us, will always be grateful. Everything was very professional, clean, and the service was above and beyond, Thank you for making a difficult situation a positive one. Thank you one and all.

Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. The beds were comfortable, Unfortunately the room were not clean. Carpet was dirty and sticky. Toilets were horrible and unsanitary. Why would housekeeping put clean towels on a dusty towel holder?

Hampton inns have never let me down. I’ve showed up other hotels in have been either grossed out and had to leave, or was disappointed, but it was too late to go find somewhere else. At Hamptons and Hiltons, I’ve never had that problem. They’re always newest, clean, smell, fine, very nice rooms, very comfortable beds, the staff has always been polite. And so it was at this Hampton. Thank you for a good stay

I recently stayed at this hotel and as a diamond member, I was extremely disgusted by this hotel. the cleanliness of the room was well below standard. there was mold on the walls in various places, a black ring in the toilet bowl, and an insane amount of dust everywhere. the rooms are outdated by a long shot. I was extremely paranoid about staying at the hotel due to the lack of cleanliness. I arrived well after check-in and decided to check-in on the app so I had no choice but to stay here. lucky for me, it was only one night. I would consider other hotels in the area before deciding to stay here.

Room is fine and the staff are friendly, but not being able to change the input on the television is pretty crummy. I know it may seem like a petty issue, but after working and traveling all day, I was looking forward to finally relaxing to my show. After no luck at the front desk, I opened up a chat and chatted with a representative online who had me call the customer service hotline who then had me call technical support. No luck all around. I believe this will be my last stay at a Hilton owned hotel.

We were greated with great personality but once we opened our room we were given the wrong room. We had our papers that we booked through their site as a king and they gave us a queen. When showing what we booked they told us they had no kings and couldn't do anything. We then decided that we wanted what we had planned for so confronted them again and they were going to give us suite, even though they told us that they couldn't do anything 5 minutes earlier. Once we agreed to the suite they said they also could not do that either since someone just booked it. We will not be returning as they were not accommodating and lied twice to us. First about what we booked, then we showed print out. Second about being able to change it and then they could but again was not able to. Also no hot tub but that was photograohed online. They said their computer system was being wired and that's why nothing showed up correctly. We also got a print out of a zero charge after deciding to go somewhere else and then found a charge for the two rooms on our bank statement. We called and they said that it wasn't really a charge but also informed us at checkin that nothing would be done until checkout.

If I could just rate the staff, I would give them a 5/5 because they were friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the room and atmosphere is a 2/5. First, the room had a very noisy air conditioner and the walls were very thin. Secondly, the atmosphere was bad because of the other guests. I understand that the hotel cannot control who stays at the hotel, but I think with more quiet rules and regulations, we would’ve had a better stay. There were children running in the street and parking lot unattended and children would run up and down the halls screaming. My husband and I checked out a day early and got a refund for the rest of the stay. There are plenty of other hotels to stay in the area, choose wisely.

Old and very run down. Stayed here roughly 10 years and the only thing that changed was how beat up this place looks. Bathroom is tough to look at, the carpet is coming up and the wall paper is trying to jump off the wall. Front desk crew was friendly so there, I said something nice…

I work here & love the work atmosphere we all get along great & help eachother out when needed. We do our best when it comes to making sure all the rooms are as clean as can be & are fully stocked for whatever a guest could need. The ladies at the front desk are always happy & smiling & willing to help anyone. Great place to stay & work. We have a 24/7 pool & work out area so we're kids, family, & healthy friendly. There is also a hot wide verity of breakfast available everyday until 10am. There's also vending & ice machines available on every floor. We also provide laundry service too. Microwaves, refrigerators, irons & ironing boards also come with the rooms. We have suites, kings size bed, & 2 queen size bed rooms available. There is also a membership rewards program too. We host weddings & work meetings in our event rooms as well.

The first room had a TV that didn't work, the second room hadn't been cleaned, the third and fourth had key locks that didn't work, but once they upgraded our room we had a wonderful stay. The staff was a pleasure to work with and the continental breakfast had a wide selection, was hot and fresh, and was delicious!

Great location and a clean, safe option to stay. Well maintained overall but the loose toilet seat and loose shower rod are pet peaves of mine when traveling. Bed frame made quite a bit of noise too. Breakfast was good. Lot was well lit. They have a shuttle that takes you to and from the casino which is a very nice feature.

We stayed last night after going to a concert and I loved the room from the very beginning as I walked in. I don't know if we just got lucky or what but it was really clean, and all the reviews that say it was musty or dirty I don't know where you stayed but it wasn't here! If we come back to Peoria I know where I will stay again. It's in the same parking lot as a casino and that can be dangerous or in our case really cool because it's a boat casino so we are by the water, and catching that at sunset or sunrise is 👌

Room was clean, staff was pleasant and the hotel was fairly quiet. Tradeoff is the place is showing its age and must have been designed before business centers, gyms and complimentary breakfasts were the norm. Yes the hotel has all three but just barely.

  • 3/5 Nick R. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel was in a word...moist. In addition to being dated and a "casino hotel", the hallway and room were humid. Then we get to the room and the carpet is damp. Not in one spot...everywhere. In addition, the wallpaper showed signs of being exposed to prolonged moisture. Not sure what's going on here. We walked around in our slides the whole time as to not feel the carpet. Told the staff and it seemed like that was the status quo for the hotel. It was the end of a long day of travel or we would have gone somewhere else.

I stay at this location every year I come to Peoria. I've never been disappointment. The staff is amazing and will do their best to accommodate guests. The rooms are super clean and it's nice to not have to worry about what you're going to walk into when you book a room. I'm ready to come back next years.

Been here since Friday 7/8 now. Staff is nice but this place is awful. Housekeeping is non-existent, we requested towels/TP twice and NOTHING. Room 430. Smells like a cologne-nightmare. Like someone died before our stay so they brought in a firehose of cologne to cover it up. The WiFi is terrible as well. Very disappointed.

We have stayed in 7 Hampton Inns in the past 2 weeks as we traveled across country. This property was both the most expensive and most disappointing. We booked online, arrived to pot holes in the parking lot, 2 elevators but only 1 working, and a TV manufactured in Sept 2008 so streaming or even getting a channel listing was out of the question. In the morning we were greeted by dog urine in the working elevator, a sausage we could not identify nor a sign telling us what it was, and no bagels or English Muffins. Our advice would be keep driving and find the next closest property. Room was tired, this property needs to be redone or sold to someone like Motel 6

Update: I can’t say enough good things about this Hampton Inn. The staff is fantastic. Everyone gives guests their undivided attention, remembers what people need , and works hard to address those needs! The staff at this Hampton Inn are stellar! They are friendly, engaged, and they make choices that really work for their guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Not fancy, but they have everything that I need. I had a problem with the bathroom, but the maintenance staff responded in under five minutes. They not only fixed the problem, they also made sure that the problem stayed fixed.

I have been coming here for years, the Hotel has really gone downhill since COVID, they have literally stopped cleaning the rooms. The tub was stained with rings, the corners of the room had dusty debris, the shade didn’t pull down and the phone to call the front t desk didn’t work. This past stay will be my last time there. I am quite frankly shocked that Hilton standards allow this level of room cleanliness. They literally stopped “touching” the rooms and said it is because of COVID. There is no notification in the room nor did anyone mention during check-in. When I came back to room on day 2 once I realized the room was not touched, the front desk guy was nice but only provided me 2 towels.

If this hotel was $60 a night I wouldn’t be writing this comment but considering I paid 150 for a Wednesday night stay thinking I was going to get something halfway decent, boy was I wrong. This hotel is extremely old and gross. For the money absolutely not worth it.

  • 1/5 Jack L. 1 year ago on Google
They allowed a third party to charge half the room price. It is a despicable policy that cheats people out of money. And when they was questioned the response was you booked it through them so you have to pay. My response was you advertised with then and the website takes you to Hampton Inn website so you are just as at fault as they are. Never again will I or anyone in my family ever stay in that hotel chain. Half the room rate in resort fees....shameful

So elevators went down and the initial person who called us and offered cancelation 5 stars for sure. Ashley when we checked in was also accommodating since we had no mini fridge like we thought in our initial room. We specifically booked this hotel bc of location and hot tub with heated pool. We arrive and find out they filled in the hot tub 5 years ago and have updated no website of this info. The pool was freezing both water and temperature everyday we tried to go with our 3 year old. I'm writing this review because I can't stand liars. The checkout desk told us the info posted is generic and so are the pictures and it's not their fault....not ok. I promise you these pictures on here are the exact hotel with the hot tub 6 years ago, nothing generic about that. They also said they are not the actual franchise Hampton Inn & suites. It is definitely your responsibility to update your hotels info on Google, Expedia, etc. False advertising??

Overall, this hotel is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. One of the biggest disappointments was the housekeeping service. Even though the room was clean, you have to ask for service during a multi-day stay. Even after asking, they still didn't make the bed. Additionally, you have to ask a full day in advance to get them to partially clean/stock your room. This is a bit inconvenient, especially if you're staying for a longer period of time. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to others. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the location is convenient. However, be aware of the housekeeping and breakfast policies before you book your stay. Here are some additional pros and cons of this hotel: Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff Convenient location Good breakfast Nice closet to put clothes into Cons: Housekeeping service could be improved Some parts of the hotel are dated

This review is 5 stars because of Tina (I hope I remembered that correctly!) who was working the night of 2/12 and was extremely helpful with excellent customer service. I had a very bad experience with a nearby competitor that night, and she saved my night. Overall I was happy at this place and the rating would have been a 4 star, but her customer service pushed it to a 5.
