One of the absolute best Italian restaurants in Perth!! The pasta was so delicious, especially the four cheese gnocchi and nonnas meatballs. We will most definitely be coming back for more!! Highly recommended!!

Amazing food and amazing service,,, The pasta was extremely delicious and authentic. The manager (man in a white dress shirt on 4/7/23 and in a black dress shirt on 5/7/23) is incredibly warm and welcoming (very good looking too…. love the accent 😍😍❤️❤️). Will 100% be back 👍🏻👍🏻. Created a reservation for a birthday dinner. Walked in to a Sauna-like dining experience with no air conditioning. We stood around waiting for someone to take us to our reservation, they took 15 minutes to bring out menus, and we received a horrible service when we finally managed to get the attention of a rather unpleasant waiter. After we ordered we waited 90 minutes (ordered 7:45, received meal at 9:15) for a meal in a kitchen with 4 active tables. They also had a high take away turnover for Uber eats etc. I would urge management to consider closing their in-house dining if they simply can’t service it. Food was average when we finally received it. Received no apologies from the waiters. The waiter said that “the food is worth the wait”, which it wasn’t. We weren’t the only people upset in the restaurant. The three other tables all also expressed their immense displeasure with the food and service. No compensation for horrible service was given. I will never be returning, nor recommending this place to anyone I know. Highly disappointed to note that this was perhaps the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Can’t believe the google ratings represents this place highly. I hope this review saves some families and individuals from an waste of money- the food is expensive and the experience is just not worth it.

New Year's Eve dinner: Courteously called to ask if we'd like online booking brought forward as was closing 9.30pm. The waitstaff are true professionals--we were greeted immediately on arrival as well as when leaving.They anticipated needs as well as being timely and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and plentiful,wines and drinks well priced. 5 stars for what an Italian restaurant experience should be.

Pizza looked OK but, like the proof of the pudding... Took most 2 days to digest, means no clue about the dough. And no blame on the Indian (??) pizzaiolo, just a fact. Atmosphere and location not bad,but service: sorry, NO. You really need qualified staff, that's not a job for just anyone. But it's the same everywhere, too hard a concept to get across, apparently...

Great place to eat and friendly service! I was sceptical at first when the waiter made a few detours around our table to check that we were eating, he said “I like that pizza it was really good do you like it?” For real. We had not really had this one on one experience with a waiter while we dined at a restaurant so we awkwardly said “Yes...” but soon we loosened up a little although we were the only ones there at the time. Maybe that’s the Italian way of greeting and good etiquette, I’m not sure. But anyway there was great food and I recommend the garlic bread as an entree with the Margherita.

Made a phone order for a pizza. Been told need 20mins, I got there within 10mins waited there still got a cold pizza. When told pizza is cold they just put back to oven for literally 10s gave to me.. I guess you will have many better pizza restaurants choice than this one 👎👎👎

This fired pizza is actually good, it would have absolutely loved it of it had some more cheese as a filling and they had tabasco sauce. I should try the chicken pizza next but it isn't possible for one person like me to eat the whole chicken pizza in one go. So a slice options would be a great addon.

Our usual Italian restaurants were completely booked out, so we searched for the nearest restaurant, maruzzella came up as the first option. Oh my God, we were blown away with the food. The pastas were seasoned to perfection, the polenta chips was amazing. We definitely come back to try more of their dishes.

What a wonderful Italian restaurant located in East Perth which serves a large selection of pizzas, pastas and side dishes! We ordered the chilli mussels, risotto and diavola pizza. The pizza was full of flavour and had a thin base with a crunchy crust. It was absolutely mouth watering. The chilli has an amazing kick with the mussels and we were taken aback from the generous portion size. The cocktails tasted a bit too strong, but overall what a great night and atmosphere! Will definitely head back here to try their other dishes! Wonderful staff and service!

Wow, if we had a place like this back home I would be 500lbs. Keeping in mind, we only ordered 4 things on the menu, but I can tell that the whole menu is to die for. Every dish that I saw coming out of the kitchen looked like something that I would want to eat. It feels like good honest cooking, put together with very little fuss and fluff. The portions are more than generous. We had the Calzone Napoletana, the Fettuccine al Ragù di Agnello , the Cannelloni with Beef Cheek and the Panna Cotta. The Calzone was so good, stuffed full with meats and topped with the creamy mozza. The caramelised exterior was really crunchy, but the dough was soft and inviting. The Fettuccine was a really nice al dente and the lamb shoulder was so soft that it came apart under the pressure of the spoon. I would order this again in a heartbeat. It felt like a grandmother running her hand through your hair. The beef cheek was so satisfying. The filling was cooked down to an impossibly hearty sauce. Every mouthful was the taste of family dinner. The only regret was that we didn't order garlic bread to mop up the sauce. Finally the Panna Cotta was the perfect wobble. Strawberry and vanilla, was the classic winning pairing. The creamy, the sweet and the tart was the gastronomic equivalent of pitch perfect. I cannot recommend eating here enough.

Amazing place. We had a rare child free date night on Saturday and everything was perfect. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was really nice and not too busy. We were recommended a nice bottle of red wine, which was really nice. The food was lovely. The garlic focacia was the best I've ever had, Nona's meatballs were stunning. The pasta: carbonara and Cannelloni were the best I've had. We will be sure to come back. Thank you so much!

The food at maruzella’s was simply fantastic. Home made pasta with a great glass of wine. It had a warm ambience and friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing service and food. My two young kids, wife and I just ate here for the first time. Large portions exploding with flavour. Short walk from most the hotels in Perth. So full up we got our desert ‘take away’. Highly recommended. Will be back for sure.

I’ve had Maruzellas a number of times now, this evening, being a Friday night, was a full house and the staff did such a great job! The food was delicious as usual, the service was exceptional, I didn’t catch the name of the waiter with the curly hair but his service and charisma is what every employer in hospitality would dream of - a fantastic restaurant, brilliantly run 11/10 👌🏼💕

Pizza 🍕 great quality toppings and combinations, but the dough is probably the best part, and it’s wood fired, like a proper Italian pizza is supposed to be! Service is good too, in a cosy and relaxed environment. We’ll come back again & again.

The food here looks promising, but I won't ever truly know because of the incompetent management of this restaurant. I am pregnant and was craving some good Italian food, so I ordered over Doordash app, and waited over an hour for my food. I then see that my driver has cancelled the order, to which I contact Doordash customer service because I have not received any information from the restaurant. Doordash tells me that the restaurant had cancelled the order. I was appalled that I had to wait over an hour to be notified this. When I called up the restaurant they were quick to say that it's the app fault because they no longer operate on Doordash. I do not care whether or not you operate on the app, what I care about is that fact that you hadn't taken the initiative to get your restaurant taken off the site, and that even though you saw my order, you did not immediately cancel it, or even call me after a driver had mistakingly come to pick up non existent food. So disappointed, you clearly could not be bothered to make me aware that you do not operate on the app, wasting both a pregnant woman's time and the driver's. Sort your management out and don't blame someone else for your laziness.

Wow! My sister and I came here this evening. She has been a few times but this was my first time. We ordered a margarita pizza to share and a gnocchi and lamb ragu. The food was amazing. The tomato based sauce on the pizza and in the pasta is really nice, very fresh and tastes homemade. This is probably the best Italian I’ve had in Perth. Staff were friendly but not overly intrusive and I loved the cosy atmosphere. Perfect for a date or small get-together. Thank you for a great experience guys, will definitely be back 👌🏻

Around 16 of us went for the first time for my husbands birthday and everything was perfect from the moment we stepped in. Very welcoming, great and funny customer service. Even though there was a lot of us and the restaurant was full on a Saturday night, there wasn’t a long waiting time and no mistakes in our orders either... from the extra chilli to no ice! Massive filling portions and the pizzas and pastas are on pointtt 👌🏼 Highly recommend this place, we all walked out knowing we’ll definitely be back =)

Ordered over the phone. Was told to pick up in 15 minutes. Arrived after 20 minutes and requested our food ...... he then took our order and made us wait another 20 minutes while the cook put it together. Once we received our meals the Pappardelle al Ragu looked very nice. Good portion for $25. The Ravioli was a surprise as the take away container was mostly empty. I called up immediately and identified myself and asked if my order was correct. Did you give me a child size or small serve? The reply was they always give 13 (thirteen) pieces of ravioli. My responses was not polite. $23 for a child size portion. Not Happy. They resemble the ravioli the ones Heinz put in can. The So called garlic bread was just old bread soaked in oil, no garlic. After I hung up the guy from the Restro called me bad abusing me and say it was Not Cool to complain, of cause told him to go away. Not impressed and disappointed.

Accidentally found this place while looking for take away pasta in the East Perth area. We were very pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality and taste of the food. The pizza was delicious and the the mushroom gnocchi was incredible. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back

Authentic Southern Italian food. Plenty of options on the menu. Vegetarian pizza tasted healthy, minimal salt used. Attentive table service. Dated decor and small interior. Tirimisu dessert lacked coffee flavour, tasted mostly of fresh cream. Nutella doughnut dessert was delicious.

Seriously great food here. I've never had a pasta with prawns so large. Portion size quite generous. Relaxed and casual environment.

Do not recommend this place. Bad, infact terrible service. Incredibly long waits. Both meals we got were rubbish. Pizzas were cold & pasta sauce tasteless. There are many nicer pizza and pasta places. Avoid this place.

We have waited at least 40 mins on the Saturday night. It’s very small place and the wood fire is at the corner of the restaurant so it’s really warm in a summer night.... pizzas were great, my prawn pasta was okay coz the prawns were over cooked so quite tough. Friendly staff. Good location.

Have been coming to Maruzzella for over 3 years. The food is great - really lovely pizza. We had a bad experience having to wait almost an hour for take out pizza a month ago, when told it would be 20 minutes. We decided it must be a one off so have tried it again today - “ready in 20 minutes” it’s now 50 minutes. Maruzella is doing Uber eats and it’s clearly having a negative impact on the businesses ability to cope when the restaurant is also busy. It’s really disappointing that a business that does such excellent food is doing it self down with poor service and trying to do too much.

Absolutely appalling service. Booked for New Year's Eve dinner at 8:15pm. Arrived at the restaurant and table wasn't ready. Waited outside the restaurant for half an hour then we were seated. After 15 minutes we had to ask the waiter to serve us. We ordered drinks and food. Another half an hour passed and we were watching a lot of clients complain on the service. We did not receive any drinks nor food. Upon checking they said the order did not even get processed. Shocking service. A lot clients were walking out disappointed including Uber drivers. Never again stepping in this restaurant.

Absolutely horrible. We ordered through UBER (and this isn't the first time this has happened) All notes for the below were put on the order and just ignored. 1. It took just under 2 hours to receive our food 2. All of the pizzas were either wrong or destroyed 3. The first pizza was for a vegan who ordered the olive oil and garlic pizza which made no mention of anything else on the menu and came covered in cheese despite our comments so that got thrown out 4. The second pizza was supposed to come without anchovies and it came covered in anchovies, also thrown out as was for a vegan. 5. The final pizza looked like it was used as a frisbee with all of the cheese in one corner of the box. 6. The restaurant made 2 different UBER drivers wait for more than half an hour each 7. The phone number on google didn't work

Busy night one staff member in the kitchen. 2 waiters one doing dishes and the other simply confused. 20 minutes to take an order an hour after that for food to come out. One meal good the other very ordinary. Don't bother

Very solid 4 out of 5; I highly recommend eating here if you have not done so before. The food pricing is about average for a restaurant like this, but the quality is quite consistent and very good. I wouldn't recommend it for people who like their food on the low salt side, but otherwise their food is very delicious and comes in decent portions. Service is friendly, with the waiter touching base throughout the night; our table water also was replenished just before it ran out.

Went here the other day and it was amazing. Chose this place which we have never been to before for my mums birthday and it was a great choice. Service was great!!! It took a little while to get the food but it was worth the small wait. It was fresh and very authentic. As Italians we loved it and will definitely come back. We got the muscles and a couple different pasta’s. We recommend the muscles and gnocchi. Recommend 💯 thank you so much to the staff who were lovely

We lucked it in when we discovered Maruzzella on a recent trip to Perth, we were staying around the corner and had seen it in our travels so decided to check it out. Absolutely worth it, we had the special seafood tortelloni and a pizza both were very good. We asked our waiter for a wine recommendation and he didn’t fail us the Passuluna Rosso was right on the money, perfect. Thank you for a great meal.

The food was some of the best Italian food we have ever had! They were happy to help accommodate dietary requirements which was great. Service was great but food did take almost an hour to arrive, which may have just been due to them being busy but the host did offer us a free drink as a thank you for our patience which was lovely and much appreciated! We would definitely love to return and I would highly recommend!

Amazing Italian food with friendly wait staff and a great reputation! Delicious and fresh! I had their seafood pasta special and I can't say I've had better seafood pasta 🦀🦐❤️ The restaurant was full we sat on one of the outdoor tables but it was honestly nice and chill because it was very loud inside.

This beautiful little and extremely popular Italian restaurant is a fantastic place to go for very tasty traditional Italian food. They do also sell alcohol so are a licenced establishment. They also do awesome pizzas with a wood fire pizza oven. Staff are mainly friendly and helpful , however on a couple of occasions we have experienced abrupt staff members, but all in all very good staff, service, food and atmosphere. Try it once and I'm sure you'll return again and again.. .

My wife and I had the Swordfish and Spaghetti Carbonara. They were both excellent. I order SC often and this one is in my top five. The Swordfish was expertly cooked and delicious. The service was exceptionally responsive. A great dining experience. Highly recommend.

Ultimately one of the best Italian Restaurants in Perth, it is authentic, with real Italian recipes and ingredients. Their seafood pasta and pizza selection is definitely one of the dishes that you must try. The Affogato cafe surprised me as it comes with a traditional Italian liquor, which was unique in its way. One of the service staff was an Italian woman, and she brought great hospitality in serving us. In conclusion, the standard of this Italian restaurant was at its top-notch, exceptionally warm atmosphere with its homely taste, I would be happy to come again!

Maruzzella is my top3 favourite Italian restaurants in Perth simply because the food is consistently good and the staff and management brings always that professional and friendly experience that I will expect from a good restaurant. They have just recently just moved to this new big area which it was very nice to see they grow as they deserve it from their hard working and dedication towards the restaurant….
