This place was great. We stopped here after a short hike on cougar mountain. The chicken fried steak was pretty solid for a small diner in Washington. You can’t beat a $4 Bloody Mary either. I’d come back if I was in the area.

We visited on a Sunday, it was very busy but only waited about 2 minutes to be seated. The staff was super friendly and upbeat. The food was super delicious and portions were very big. Kudos to Jay Berry’s for the wonderful space you have created.

Pretty good for a local cafe. I would not come here for an Eggs Benedict though because they use a formaggio sauce instead of hollandaise which is 🤯. I do recommend their omelettes. The cinnamon rolls are dense and hard to chew, but the icing is delicious! Great cream cheese frosting. The pancakes also look great. I'd love to come on a Saturday to try their prime rib special!

Lots of food at a great price. This place is very busy so get there early. Parking can be tough. Even with the restaurant packed our meal came fast. The food was very good, with lots of options. A great deal on bloody Marys and mimosas! You will not leave hungry!

I went here for a Saturday brunch with my family. We were greeted by a friendly host and given a table right away. My wife is vegetarian and the server was professional, friendly and able to make accommodation for our dietary requirements. She ordered the bennies and I ordered the loaded mashed potatoes. Both items were over the top delicious! The portion sizes were decent and we didn’t have room for anything else. The restaurant was filled to the brim and has a nice homely atmosphere. I’m definitely coming back here soon.

So good, breakfast is my favorite, amazing bloody Marys and a very fun staff that are very attentive. The bar area is a great place to watch your favorite teams. And when weather allow they have a very nice patio area to enjoy good and drink. Yvette was our server this time around and she was great! Kept the coffee full and we were always checked up on! Really great staff and better food. Pricing is not bad at all! Go for this awesome spot your next time out!

Drove down from Beacon Hill for Sunday morning breakfast. Tried to open the door at 7, when they claim to be open, was motioned from within that we'd have to wait a bit. Stood out in the cold, waiting for them to open. Waitress seemed hostile despite being her first table of the day. Chicken fried steak looked and tasted exactly like corned beef hash. When I noted this to the waitress, hostility level increased noticeably. Wife said her cheese-covered tater tots meal (!?!?!?) was good. Probably fine if you live in the area and have low expectations, but don't bother making a drive.

Solid breakfast spot. There can be a line to sit in the main area. If you are 21+ you can sit in the bar area with possibly no wait. There is a bar and additional tables in there which is nice. Tried the southwest omelet and the french toast. Both were awesome all around, no complaints.

There is only one word: Perfection. You hungry? You need real people food that reminds you of all the best vintage diners without being greasy? This is your place! Favorite meal is breakfast here. Bacon like Momma used to cook. Crispy outside, tender inside hash browns. Perfectly poached eggs. Dynamite French toast that isn't warped or rubbery. Fluffy scrambled eggs. I could go on! And their Bloody Mary drink is a great eye-opener with bacon, pickled asparagus, and olive garnish. An absolutely delightful establishment in every way. Notes: The restaurant is fully updated while retaining a family restaurant vibe. Weekends are super popular so arrive early or don't mind a small wait. It's worth it!

This place has a consistently 5 star review for a reason. Filling, giant pancakes and delicious eggs. They give you maple syrup. It is super good and we will be back 🙂

Huge portions and the menu is amazing. If you love country fried steak this is the place to go! Great atmosphere, but parking can get harder on the weekends. During the summer I suggest enjoying breakfast in their outdoor seating area.

A friend recommended we try this place and I’m glad we did! We were seated right away but it does get packed and the parking lot gets crowded on the weekends. Hostess and server were super friendly and professional. Food portions were great and delicious! My favorite appetizer was the bacon wrapped scallops! A bit expensive but worth it. I’ll be back again to try their breakfast menu.

Jay Berry's Cafe has such a nice ambience and situated close to Issaquah and Cougar Mountain. If you are hiking close to the area, this is a cool place to eat at to refresh. The tater tots dish I had was superb plus they offer $4 mimosas every Saturday and Sunday.

We usually order out and we’ve never had breakfast here until recently. The breakfast was quite good and is probably the best breakfast place near us that we’ve tried so far. However I’d still choose take out over eating in. We went on a Sunday and even though the wait for a table was between 5-10 minutes we ended up spending an hour there before we received our food. I ordered the jay berry omelette which I would get again, it was so so good! The saucey topping made the dish very delicious. My friend’s eggs Benedict was over cooked but overall I still super like this place! Just prefer takeout to eating in ha Also parking can get a bit nuts o.0

Went there on Sat afternoon for late lunch, staff was friendly and quick to get us seated and brought water. Out waitress came by 5 min later and was very informative about the menu items we had questions on. Our food arrived 10 min after she took our order and it was delicious!! The prime rib dip was almost perfect, if only the dipping jus was more concentrated and thicker instead of like veef broth. Our French fries were perfectly crunchy, ceaser Salad was fresh and not too much dressing, Reubens was delicious although I'd prefer thinner sliced corn beef and more of it. Overall, great experience and delicious food. Will definitely come back again soon !

Great drinks and really good brunch options. Fairly extensive menu and they have a lunch and dinner menu as well. Great place for the family or foe a few drinks and food in the bar. Get yourself there if you want a great meal and a fair price.

Is this the best shrimp Louie salad you’ve ever seen? It was awesome!! Jay Berry’s never disappoints, my favorite little nugget of a restaurant tucked away in the Renton Highlands ❤️.

I came here for brunch and oh my, really good food! Kathie’s Special was really good and the formaggio sauce makes it even better. Definitely coming back for more and recommending this place!

Great service, hearty portions, nice family friendly local spot. We tried Jay Berry's for brunch and ordered the eggs benedict, avocado eggs, fried chicken and waffles, and pancakes. Look forward to trying more on the menu and being regulars. I'm not a big pancake person, but those pancakes were scrumptious (would give it an 11 out of 10!). Recommend going early if you have young children to beat the rush.

Went on a hike at Rattlesnake ledge in North Bend and stopped by to pick up some brunch afterwards. Heard a lot of great things about this place. I’ve been wanting to try it the past couple times I’ve flown out to Washington to visit. Ordered the hot tots and they were absolutely amazing. The formaggi cheese sauce added so much flavor. Paired with the scallions, jalapeños, bacon, and poached eggs perfection.

This place was AMAZING! Flew in from PHOENIX, AZ this morning, asked the Dutch Bros Barista for a recommendation of a good place to eat (since we are not from around here). She excitedly told us "You HAVE to give Jay Berry's a try!". I must say, this place did NOT disappoint. I ordered from the "light" menu & it was still a HUGE portion! Absolutely outstanding staff and food! If we are ever back in the area- this will be a go to!!!

Best local diner with a hometown feel, amazing food, and great service. Breakfast is of course topnotch but their lunch items are also a must try! The Prime Rib sandwich is out of this world incredible and the pizzas are surprisingly awesome! Highly recommend :)
