Lunch today and it was not as good as usual. The veil parmesan was good but the spaghetti was really bad. I did not eat it. And the salad was the best part of the meal. Also their prices have increased and if you use your debit card you are charged a service charge.

Been eating here with family for many, many years. Food is consistently good. Service is, typically, delightful. Iced tea is like my grandmother's.

Stuffed "Chicken" is pre-made mystery meat they buy in bulk frozen off a food service truck. It was gross. Reconstituted mash potatoes. Canned green beans. Iced tea was good.

I'm not sure if they pay for reviews or if we went on an off time. It was our first visit and will not be in a hurry to return. Food was ok but not great. I had the BBQ plate and ask to substitute baked potato for fries. The BBQ was cold and the potato was not done still hard. My nephew got steak which was good they were out of mac& cheese so he got fries which weren't done. My nice got a gyro plate and said it was good. My nephew got chicken tenders off the kids menu with fries and they were good. If I was to go back it would be for the tenders. Staff was very friendly.

I've been to the Epicurean at least a dozen times... and only once was it my decision. I wouldn't nominate the Epicurean for any awards, except, perhaps, for having the most loyal and regular customers. The food is nothing special, either in taste, quality, or presentation. In fact, I don't think the food is really worth eating. All the poor reviews of the food are true. The service is the same you would expect anywhere -- good most of the time. It really comes down to the individual. The atmosphere is quiet and quaint, with a pretentious air of sophistication. To put it succinctly, The Epicurean, though its name sounds prestigious, tries to compensate for poor food with a false sense of refinement.

It was amazing. The rice and gravy had tons of flavor. The chicken and dressing had the right amount of dressing, gravy, and tender chicken to go with it. You could cut it with a fork. The yams could have used a little more love. A little more brown sugar, vanilla, and butter would have taken them to the next level. The roast beef would be great on a sandwich. It was very tender. The cornbread had the right balance of savory, light, and sweetness. The greens had a meaty flavor to them. A pinch of vinegar and they would have been perfect. The mashed potatoes had great texture to them. And last but not least, the rolls had the perfect amount of toast on them. They made them taste like my Mamaw used to cook them. I will definitely be back here.

Kids loved their kid’s steak. Cooked medium. Chicken fingers are a safe option for kids also. I enjoyed the grilled chicken breast marinated in Italian seasoning. Both breasts were a little dry but taste was still good. If you get a salad as a side, it’s very plentiful but be prepared for a ton of shredded carrot and some raw onions underneath. Cornbread is great! Yams are good too. Not a fan of the slaw, corn, spaghetti sauce.

This is such a good quality place with an excellent selection of various Greek dishes! This is one of my new favorites! My service and waitress were impeccably good! A rare quality nowadays unfortunately. Great job!

We have been driving here from Cleveland for over 10 yrs. The food and service are always excellent. The salad is always fresh as all of the other food. It's nice and quiet and cozy. We always enjoy eating here.

Food doesn’t have a lot of taste, bland. Server was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Went twice many years ago and thought it was terrible. Now, after 20 years we happened to be in the neighborhood so my husband said “since they’re still open maybe it’s gotten better” - so we stopped. Don’t get the seafood platter- - nothing “fresh “ about it. My “trout” looked like a banana! Shrimp was soggy and limp. Awful. A lot of people refer to it as the “old folks home”. I am old, but I still have taste.

For years had wanted to try these guys out because they seemed to always be so busy. So tonight we did and how I wish we didn’t Veal parm was way over cooked and the gyro was crispy like a chip! Old and dated dinning room and not so good food but the waitress was super nice and helpful. 10/10 I’ll never go back lol

Family friendly. Amazing food. My boyfriend’s favorite dish there is the pork chops. They are so delicious. That also have amazing squash casserole and delicious cheese puff pastry’s.

Food was OK, I order some side dishes and they were out of them, sold out, or they didn't want to make more, waitress never told us what happened.

We love this place and have been coming here for several years. Favorites are the broiled trout and pork chops. Never disappointed! I have to snicker at the reviewers who have complained that their children weren't allowed to sing their numbers and abc's. I say good for the staff for not allowing it. We come to enjoy our meal, not listen to your kids performances. And for the reviewer who said the Epicurean doesn't like "colored" people. Wonder what color they were referring to? Green people, purple people? Inquiring minds want to know!

Popular with senior citizens; closes after dinner service at 7 pm. Nothing fancy, but good service and you won't leave hungry. Sufficient menu variety to please everyone. Most (if not all) side vegetables are canned.

Best ribeye I have ever eaten. Service was great even tho they became very busy. I can't wait to visit again! It's a shame I waited 63 years to go there.

I am livid about my experience at this place today. After picking my child up from school we decided to try Epicurean in East Ridge. We have a party of 5 my parents and the boys. We go in and the boys have their tablets. The hostess asked us to turn them down while walking in so we want disturb anyone. Ok that’s fine we will. So we look around and it’s like 6 people in the place and we are the odd ones out. My son loves to sing and say his letters, numbers, etc but if he gets loud I address him(like the teacher I am). We decided to ask the lady if that will be a problem and she said yes. We get up and leave. My child is 2 years old and we have never been asked to turn down a tablet. Then you trust to say he can’t sing. I truly believe it.

It wasn't all bad, but my shrimp was left off my seafood platter, the oysters were not great, my mother's to go order was tough, and my husband and I were given the check for a table of six. Other than those problems, the food, overall, was not bad. We won't go back but I would say if you want a quiet dining experience with so-so food, go for it.

First visit my wife and I ordered the chicken livers and they were great. Went back today specifically for them again. They were very disappointing. We could only eat one or two. Diet Coke also had an "odd" taste and the corn muffins were bland. Overall this was a very disappointing visit. Not sure if we'll try it again

This place has amazing pork chops on Friday. You get 2 large pork chops and they are perfectly seasoned. Very juicy. 10 out of 10 for sure. Waitresses are always very friendly and always make sure tour glass is always full of your choice of drink.

Went there today for lunch and will never go again. Waited over and hour for food and was cold when they finally brought it out. The macaroni was over baked and turnip greens were nothing but stems and couldn’t eat them. Overpriced for the quality of food and service.

This place has always been good but this time I had to watch a roach bug crawling around the table and chairs, way over priced. That's it for me sorry .

An old staple of great food in East Ridge. I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. Best Thousand Island Dressing I've ever had!

Went in today for my first visit ever. I got the beef tips with gravy, baked potato and Mac and cheese. The beef tips just melt in your mouth! Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back.

The best restaurant in East Ridge. I've been eating here for almost 30 years. I hate that they've cut back their hours so much since Covid (they used to be open later and on more days), but they're still serving delicious, quality food at affordable prices. Try the Fried Trout or the Baked Stuff Chicken Breast. Those are my favorite entrees.

The expectation of dining at this restaurant was high! I was told that the food was delicious. Boy was I disappointed. We waited at our tables for over an hour for our food. The “server” mentioned that only one cook was in the kitchen preparing ALL the meals! I ordered the Broiled Filet of Trout. It was overcooked and without flavor and texture. The Mac-cheese was ok to say the least. Maybe one day in the future, I’ll give them another taste.

I am so very thankful that there are still people that know how to cook good food. They take the time to make sure that every dish down to the tea in your glass is quality. I have only been here 3 or 4 times, but I am amazed at how good it is. The service is polite and friendly, and I hope to come back again very soon. I will be saying a prayer for the people at Epicurean tonight. I pray they will stay in our community for many years to come.

I have a restrictive diet, low fat dairy free, and they had tasty options. Yes, options! Thank you so much. This restaurant, food and atmosphere have a very home(y) feel.

Just stopped in for a quick salad to check it out. Did not get anything special, just a salad with Gyro meat. The meat was good.

This is a cute family owned restaurant with good southern cooking. I had the pork chops, and they were very tender and juicy. The only complaint was the chicken livers. There was not enough breading, and they were soft instead of crunchy on the outside. I would love to come back and try some of the other meals.

The wait staff are all sweet as can be. When my boyfriend and I got our streaks his was medium rare but he had asked for medium. I asked for medium rare and got medium. Everything else was good.

Ordered the eggplant lasagna and gyro platter. The salads they came with were large and tasty, house dressing was a creamy dill. Plenty of dressing and side sauces. Entrees were good, plenty of food and not too costly. We will be back.
