Just a lovely beach with very little going on other than great acoustics of the sea that let you close your eyes and drift away. On a separate note my children love fossil hunting here and keeps them quiet for hours. Very clean free toilet facilities at the free car park make this place a gem.

Nice and quiet beach, next to farm land so you'll get a strong smell of cow and horse manure but you soon get over it and you won't notice it if you go close to the water. Car parking is free but it's small, so you may struggle to park but you can park on the side or the main road and walk to the beach. There's a free public toilet next to the car park.

Free Parking and Toilets on site. Beach is magnificent to the right hand side. Turn left to Hornsea and it's not as good with large pebbles and stones. Coastal erosion is clearly evident and be aware of the warning signs for unexploded military ordinance.

Great spot for a spot of summer sun or a wintery dog walk. Parking is a bit of an issue however when you do get parked up there is a lovely little cafe for ice cream in the summer and a nice hot brew in the colder months, there is also free public facilities.

Stopped here to let our dog have a run on the beach. A very small car park but there is some parking on the road side. A steep slope down to the beach but a lovely beach it is. You could walk for miles.

Great beach for the dogs, parking is free but limited, potentially 10 free spaces and I'd imagine it's very hectic in summer with the number of visitors. Great winter beach walk

Nice clean beach and only a small slight ramp down to the beach. There is a small car park which fills up quickly. Adjoining roads do have some parking, which is supposed to be for residents. Any vehicle parked on grass verges will more than likely get rocketed as the council does regular visits. Plenty of fossils lying around on the beach for the keen eyed fossil hunter. Sea can be pretty rough if you want to go in the water for paddleboarding or kayaking.

Great beach, clean, and plenty of space for everyone. Dog friendly. Small gradient to walk down to get to the beach, there's Not a lot of parking so prepare for that however its free and theres space on the street leasing up to the beach, outside toilet block and its very clean. Post office and shop close by, but I'd suggest bringing a pack up. Keep an eye on tide times, or u will be stuck for getting back as it goes right up to the cliffs. Loved it and will be black!

Lovely beach which is dog friendly all year. The car park is small due to coastal erosion but we never struggled to find a space mid-afternoon onwards. The beach stretches a good way and is a mix of rock, sand and shingle. The only downside is the steep hill to get up and down to the beach.

Stayed at the Seaview campsite - the place is spotless - like brand new. Loved the site - lovely cafe in the post office - got some fresh eggs from the farm around the corner - beach walks were great with the family and dogs πŸ‘Œ πŸ•

Visited toward the evening, when the tide was going out, so the beach kept revealing more pretty rocks and pebbles. Not so many people, free parking and plenty of bins so it was nice and clean too. Only negative was the smell of silage, but we did get used to it and it didn't put us off the beach.

A lovely unspoilt beach, difficult / impossible to access the beach in a standard wheel chair, but you can go down to the beach on the road which is steep but worth it if you can manage it. View from the car park is worth a visit too. We went to watch the sun rise early start at 0520, but worth it.

Found out about this beach due to Yorkshire live as a hidden gem , so thought as we were in the area we would give it a try. Although parking is free, the car park is pretty small so I would have other plans ready just in case you can’t get parked, as everywhere else seems to have double yellow lines. Beach is dog friendly all year round and is a nice sandy beach. There is a slope to walk down/up to get on the beach so bare this in mind if you have trouble with slopes. Can’t fault the beach and when we went it was really quiet, I can see why it is a hidden gem. Walked for about 2 hours in total after turning right at the bottom of the slope and barely saw another person. Near the car park is a small cafe which sadly has just closed when we got there after our walk (about 4pm) so can’t comment on this. Warning there is a sign about unexploded ordinance as the beach was used by the ministry of defence previously but not surprisingly, didn’t see anything, so don’t let this put you off. Nice beach to spend the day at or walk the dog without the hussle and bussle of other nearby beaches. The tide comes right in so make sure you check tide times before you visiit.

Perfect quiet beach for those looking for a less tourist type beach. Perfect for dog walks, picnics, sandcastle building and adventures. There is a car park, but get there early as it can be busy. There is a little cafe at the top of the hill and public toilets in the car park.

Went on a fossil hunt, very cold and windy day. Small person enjoyed and found a few things to add to his collection. Free parking but only a small amount of spaces. Easy access to beach down a moderate incline. Well worth a visit

Wow a really beautiful beach! We were lucky to visit this place on one of the hottest days of August and we spent several hours having great fun on the beach. The beach is easily accessible on foot. There is free parking available nearby but spaces are very limited.

We walked along the beach to and from Mappleton really enjoyed the clean and quite walk along the we had refreshments at the post office then walked back to Hornsea. I recommend you walk the beach ⛱️ way no path on the road so you walk on road with cars coming towards you🫨

Good for dog walks with small carpark nearby (no coaches). Toilets in carpark. Lots of huge colourful rocks along the cliffs to sit on. Lots of colour pebbles - no shells.

Always park here to walk into hornsea. It's very important to check tide times for returning as the tide comes in fast. Beach is clean and good for fishing.

Lovely quiet clean beach, lots of fun exploring, running in and out of the water. The car park is busy but at least there is a toilet. Use left beach to avoid possible unexploded military items.

Great dog friendly beach, not too busy and public toilets in the car park. Car park is quite small but it’s free πŸ˜†. There is a slope down to the beach, and what goes down must come up so the walk back up might be difficult for some.

Went during late afternoon. Great for a quiet walk on the beach and perfect for kite flying. Clean toilet block. Small car park for cars only (no campervans etc)

This is such a lovely little beach to go to, small parking area with carpark and toilet facilities. Does get busy in the summer months

It's a quiet place on a weekday, there were a couple school trips on the day I went. It's quite remote, not many shops nearby but close to other seaside towns

What a great beach to walk on for everyone. We only did one side where there were people fossil hunting but the beach is vast.

What a lovely piece of East Yorkshire coastline. A small car park with toilets, which are kept very clean. A Cafe within a minute from the car park, which serves lovely food(check the opening times)

Small, quiet and unspoilt. The water looked very blue. doesn't seem to have suffered much from erosion like some of its neighbours.

Lovely little beach. Parking is free, but it's a very small car park. Lots of lovely dogs around.

A small beach with rock groynes. It is sandy but has a significant number of pebbles. The area used to be used by the RAF so beware of old bombs. Avoid going after storms and search the area carefully before allowing kids there. The boulder clay cliff shows frequent slips and slumps. It is goof to see the impact of coastal defences. There is a free car park with toilet facilities at the top. It is only a 1 minute walk to the beach. Within the next decade i expect the car park and toilet block to have eroded to the point that it will be closed. There is a little shop near by for treats (limited opening times).

Rrough sea 🌊 today, nice beach, free parking and clean toilets. Flowers on the fence are a bit ominous.

Always love it here. Been my local beach for many years. Good for beach walks etc. Car parking is getting limited now though, due to the coastal erosion, so eventually will be hard to access if you drive here.
