Brought my son in for chronic pain in his knee. Dr. said he had no idea what it could be, offered no advice on pain meds or anything we could do to help with pain. Said he wanted x-rays. Nobody followed up about the x-rays, I had to call 3 times to get a nurse to call back and tell me what was on the x-rays. They took 5 x-rays and had us come back to take another as they states they needed a better view. We waited an hour after the x-ray was taken to see the Dr. who, again, offered no advice and now we wait for the x-ray results yet again. This place is just a money pit! If my kid wasn't in pain we would have walked out and looked for a second opinion. Unfortunately, time is of the essence. Don't go here!!! It's a complete waste of time and money!!!

I'm a 71 year old female, fortunate enough to have had virtually no experience with hospitalization. Then, in November of 2020 (what a year!) I fell in the snow; hurt my left foot badly; spent two days, hobbling on crutches, and telling myself the pain would go away. It didn't, but I gave myself time to fall again. By the time I ended up in Eau Claire Mayo, I had a turned ankle, a broken heel, and a broken hip. I had emergency surgery the evening of November 25, and the surgeon did a great job. I spent some time in Mayo rehab, and I've now been home for a few days -- consciously reminding myself that I have to move carefully and slowly; not like I'm going to a four alarm fire. All doctors, nurses, technicians, and all other staff at Eau Claire Mayo were tremendous. My previous experiences with Mayo (once in Rochester; once in Eau Claire) involved by long-time boyfriend, who had two very serious, emergency surgeries in just over a year. His experience was the same as mine, regarding the expertise, helpfulness, and friendliness of everyone from doctors to support staff. As my boyfriend (former Marine) would say, "Oorah, Mayo!!"

What a joke. Go in ER for help and it doesn't happen. In order for a wound to be dressed you have to get a referral to a wound department and wait for a call back. And when I told them I was worried about a TIA they looked at me like I was a joke and didnt look further into it. I swear if I have a problem with a stroke now, I will be suing the hospital.

Wonderful doctors and nurses that are possibly the best in the area. Their insurance and billing department however, have zero personal skills and are counter productive when finding routes of payment and handling insurance. Incredibly rude and zero personality.

Mayo hospital in Eau Claire Wisconsin is probably the best hospital I have ever experienced. First let me say that I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, I'm not a fan of Wisconsin at all, I haven't had good experiences with people or businesses out there ever, until yesterday. My son (who lives in Menomonie) was in a bad car accident on Friday night (8/6/21), he was sent to a hospital in Menomonie where they transferred him to Mayo hospital in Eau Claire. The treatment he has gotten has eased my mind from the distance because being an hour & a half away from him isn't easy for me. The nurses have been absolutely AMAZING!!! They have answered all my questions, called me with updates, & even talked to my mother who lives in Vegas & has updated her on his care & progress. I am so very grateful for every single one of those nurses (& doctors) for the amazing care they have given to my son & for having the patience & time to update our family. Thank God for those nurses!! You are all angels!!

Once Again having to leave a negative review for our healthcare system! Tried Gundersen for years with no luck... and now Mayo... wasn't expecting much, but my husband has been suffering for 6+ years having pain from a lower back fusion surgery he had many years ago. Got referred to one of the few places that there is a neurology department, Mayo in Eau Claire. Had to drive 3 hours for this apt. hoping to maybe finally get some answers.... only to find when we got there and are sitting in the waiting room, a lady comes out to tell us that the neurologist, Dr. Snyder, has to cancel the apt. My husband was devastated. Know that this has been a common thing lately with Dr's canceling his apts. the day of! They don't know the physical toll it took my husband just to get there! His body is wrecked and in more pain from that trip just to find out they canceled. I don't have enough words to describe my anger and frustration towards our healthcare system in this state. I could go on and on. All I have to say is for people who have been suffering for years in pain and been trying to find help is... Good Luck. Might have to start the realization that they won't help you and you have to deal with what your going through.

If I could give this person a 0 for representing Mayo as he did I would. Dr. Reed in the ER at the Luther campus in EC Wi - made inappropriate comments like saying “weird” after I told him my symptoms. My significant other and I were baffled by how great his unprofessionalism was. He did everything under the sun -that was unnecessary for him to rack up that bill. And to top off this amazing DR.Reed did for me was administrate a drug for me that I did not need or consent on and then informed me during discharge. Btw my symptoms- DURING ACTIVITY- Dizziness, nausea, lethargic and headaches. His response was “weird” LOL ok whatever tf that means. I think this Doctor should not administer any meds- and I already take the meds he gave me. Ask for a different Doctor if you end up here. Mental health awareness: History of meds - does not mean crazy. Majority of the nurses are the best people ever! Thanks y’all have a good one.

Just to be clear , this is not The Mayo Clinic. It’s the “Mayo Clinic Health System”. Not same/same. The quality of care is just not the same. It’s not world class. Personally I would compare it to a major metropolitan public hospital. And not favorably. I got lied to my face. I was lied to about my wife’s care. I was told “assumptions” were made regarding her care. And when I raised concerns i. was flagged by security. This hospital is a sad joke and it’s sad that people actually think this medical group is capable of delivering quality healthcare. Next time I’m going to UW Madison or the Cities. This is an atrocity

I have had unending issues with scheduling and bad care at Mayo clinic in Eau Claire. Dr. Kassana is HORIBLE! I WOULD NOT recommend her for anyone to be their primary care Dr. She misdiagnosed me and i suffered for 10 months before finding out what was really going on by a different Dr. I would be very careful with who you see there and you need to ask questions and advocate for yourself. For being an " internationally known" hospital system, they don't have good communication, being on time, and timeliness for their Dr's showing up for video appointments, or the quality of care that I would expect fron the name, Mayo. I had better care in Minnesota through Healthpartners. I an very disappointed and don't have a lot of confidence or trust in the providers there. The CEO is more concerned about making instructional videos than the quality of care in person or over zoom appointments. She needs to go sit in the waiting room for a while and listen to conversations, or have an appointment under a different name and see what happens there.

I had a miserable experience while being treated there. They didn't listen to my concerns and essentially acted like my symptoms were all imaginary. They mentioned follow-up therapy but of course that never materialized. Now I have to pay thousands of dollars for what was basically 3 days of room service. In 3 days I talked to my doctor for about only 10 minutes.

12/13/22 The women working the kiosk check in (Bellinger St location) are extremely unprofessional. I did pre check in and arrived on time to check in for a 1:30 appointment. Went to the patient registration kiosk to scan my code at 1:32 and the two “helpers” told me I was “too late” and that I needed to call and reschedule my appointment. They were rude and argumentative. I then stood in the patient registration line for 5 min and they came over and told me “they’re just going to tell you the same thing. You’re late. Reschedule”. I’m an RN BSN and I worked here, I’m wondering whatever happened to common sense and customer service? I was ON TIME for my appointment. The women at patient registration was very kind and professional, she apologized for their rudeness and directed me to my appointment. By then I was 10 minutes late. The face of Mayo is the people assisting with check in at the kiosk, you can do better.

Extremely rude staff. ICU staff treats patients horribly. Treats family of the patients even worse. No patient needs to be screamed at. Over medicated and ignored for far to long. If you have the option to take your loved ones anywhere else, please do.

Dr. Celestine Ofoma is one of the worst doctors I've ever encountered. I tried changing physicians within their Internal Medicine Dept and have been completely shocked at how horrible the "care" has been. Dr. Kanu was just as bad. These physicians think they are "gods" in their little part of the world. I came from another state with all my records, medications, etc established. I came from good doctors that cared. This has been unbelievable. Mayo Internal Medicine Department should be Under Investigation!!!

Only two people allowed to see a loved one that’s on their campus at a time and a max of five visitors per hospital stay. It’s hard enough to see a loved one in the hospital let alone to decide who can come and who can’t. Staff was kind and professional, but the COVID policies are futile and hurtful during those difficult and stressful times when someone you love is sick.

Mayo portal app absolutely sucks. Been struggling for over a month to get logged on to it but it will not accept my info. Try calling for help but their business hours don’t work for what I’m available. I cannot understand why a health portal help desk is not available 24-7. Guess they would rather have customers/patients die than help them.

I had a wonderful experience when I was inpatient at Mayo! The meals were delicious and the therapy groups were so helpful. After inpatient, I did the Transitions Program which I credit daily for the stability it brought to my mental health. Thank you, Mayo!

The WORST experience ever. The whole second floor (woman's health dpt.) should be EMBARRASSED. I have left multiple appointments as a first time pregnant woman confused, frustrated, and in tears because of the lack of care there is here. Quite frankly I am questioning competence at this point. I know plenty of people who have left Mayo all together because of this clinic in particular. Get it together Mayo.

No one meets you to take the elderly inside the building. I was told there are workers there to do that. When I finally got my elderly person inside the building, went inside to the desk, and asked the 4 people sitting and standing around doing nothing about it - this was their response - we don't stand outside in the cold. Pathetic!

Been waiting over an hour an a half in the emergency waiting room along with many others just to be seen by a doctor. I've seen them wheel patients out but still no one is being admitted not only is this not right its not feasible or operational of meeting my needs others needs or the company's needs the doctors and staff are clearly taking there sweet time not doing there job these people should be fired immediately for multiple reasons the biggest being there putting people's lives in danger because of there own selfishness. Other reasons being there detrimental to the company causing profit loss do to people leaving from waiting to long and not being seen which if they were to get fired cause of this reason they wouldn't be able to collect unemployment which would be very smart for the business to do to increase revenue and cash flow.

I arrived via ambulance at about 10:30 pm. They had me sitting in a wheelchair in the waiting room in severe knee pain. Finally after 12 midnight the doctor came in and just did an ultrasound of my knee. No pain relief at all ! Was told that there was nothing they could do for my knee! I am still in severe pain still an nothing to take to ease the pain.

The Hospital Clinic is a very nice place and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about what you are there for. This is a very updated facility with the best and latest equipment for all of your needs. This Clinic/Hospital has a Trauma center that offers Flight for Life emergencies and any other treatments that you may need.

Family medicine Mayo Clinic Claremont Ave., Eau Claire , WI Gagandeep Singh, M.D Will tell you what you wanna hear and say he’s gonna help you but then he won’t give the antibiotics when I have lymes . My next door neighbor got lymes in the same woods. Her doctor gave her antibiotics immediately to nip it in the bud. He won’t help me so I have to move on to another place. I’m gonna go to my neighbor‘s doctor.

Rude nurses on the fifth floor, make accusations towards patients and chart it in their records but say nothing to the patient who said nothing wrong due to witnessthe patient refused meds due tobthe fact they didnt kniw what his blood sugar was but still wanted tobgive him meds and they took offense to that, no respect for the patients that have the right to refuse medications that they have not been taking to begin with. This place has changed so much for the worse in the last three years that we will never come back... rude, non caring, don't introduce themselves, you don't know who you talked to, and you have to realize they are working for the patients, so don't treat them like youbare doing them a favor.

During my 3 day stay after hip replacement surgery I was allowed to reach a point of urinary retention of 2000 units before intervention, my TV was nonoperational despite 4 requests made to staff, I was not provided with an opportunity to clean up, brush my teeth or any hygiene activities for 3 days, and call lights were not answered for 20 minutes at which point my husband went to the nursing station for assistance. My water glass was kept on the nursing station and provided when they gave me pills, I was overdosed on Tylenol in a 24 hour period, spirometer was across the room and despite precautions I was rolled in a sheet causing severe pain. We have never had such poor care and lack of respect in a hospital setting. If you want to be placed in a room and completely ignored then this is your place.

😠 The closing of all urgent cares and having just the ONE at the hospital was a terrible idea. I had my son in for almost 3hrs and the room was still full of patients prior to our check in, waiting to get seen. Is there only one doctor in urgent care!?!
