(Translated by Google) It is a museum of the entire era of the cocoa boom that was exported by the port of Guayaquil, which generated a large income throughout the country which improved the quality of life of Ecuadorians and the creation of more works and therefore job. To get here you can take the urban bus lines C1, 44A, 121, 63A🚍🔰📛Ⓜ⚜ (Original) Se trata de un museo de toda la época del auge cacaotero que fue exportado por el puerto de Guayaquil, lo que generó un gran ingreso a todo el país lo que mejoró la calidad de vida de los ecuatorianos y la creación de más obras y por ende empleo. Recommended if you have an hour or two to spare while in Guyaquil. Relatively small but nice museum about the history of cacao in Ecuador. Educational place to get out of the sun if it's a warm day. $5 entrance fee. Displays are all in Spanish. Audio tours in English and Spanish available for $2.50 extra. Many nearby restaurants. As of December 2021.

(Translated by Google) In truth, there is a museum for everything you can imagine and thus there is also a Museum of Cacao. The place is in a building that has been restored. Inside, the museum exhibition is really very interesting and you learn about the multiple connections that Guayaquil has with this product and how much of its development was due, and still is due, to the cultivation of this product. Getting there is easy and you only ask for a contribution when you enter, which is voluntary. Por dentro la muestra del museo es en verdad muy interesante y se aprende de las múltiples conecciones que tiene Guayaquil con este producto y de cómo gran parte de su desarrollo se debió, y aún se debe, al cultivo de este producto. (Translated by Google) To enter you must give a contribution. Let's support Tourism, they can give 1 cent if they want but I suggest giving at least 1 dollar, it's worth it. Long live Guayaquil! (Original) Para entrar debes dar una contribución. Apoyemos al Turismo, pueden dar 1 centavo si quieren pero sugiero dar al menos 1 dólar, vale la pena. Viva Guayaquil!

It is important to know the history of the golden nugget, in the museum there is a lot of information about how our ancestors cultivated cocoa, the guides are very attentive and for nationals the entrance is only a voluntary contribution, an experience that is worth it. All very nice and with excellent infrastructure.

Nice place to visit and learn about the history of cocoa, the entry cost is voluntary for nationals, and at the end you can taste all the delights of chocolate

Great little museum to get a good history of the role cacao had in Guayaquil and Ecuador. Not too long, not too simple, and put together very nicely and interactively. Don't miss visiting the restaurant Juliana on the top floor for a great view of Santa Ana, and the chocolate store and mini factory on the first floor.

Interesting place that shows the history of the ecuadorian cocoa. The anatomically correct dolls are very realistic and well done which adds more pleasure to the experience.

It's small but very informative about the history of the Cafe. It has a bar on the third floor and a cafeteria on the first floor. Admission is $5 or if you are local you just leave a donation. Recommended if you are in the area

A pleasant experience, very well structured, spaces with technology such as augmented reality, art, history, audio guide and personal guide, but the latter two require a financial payment, for nationals the entrance price is a voluntary contribution, for foreigners 5 dollars.

A beautifully made museum on three floors (elevator available) about the history of cocoa. Lots of information, but unfortunately only in Spanish. Admission is $5, an electronic guide costs extra! It's a shame, for the price of admission at least the texts in English would have been nice. Certainly interesting for older children too. As a reward, there's cocoa, cake or delicious ice cream in the café on the ground floor. Of course there is also a café for adults! We weren't allowed to enter the bar (in the afternoon!) because we had an infant with us and they weren't allowed in the bar!🤷‍♀️It's a shame and incomprehensible, since there is also food and a café there and it's not a nightclub. But apparently that's a rule!

As I scroll through the pictures which others have posted, I see only Spanish text with no effort to translate any written English. That seems an unfortunate choice and absolutely precludes me visiting.
