Visited one of the two Saravana Bhavans in kochi. Food was great, we had breakfast from their ac dining hall which was clean and comfortable. Staff response was quick . We had ghee roast, masala dosa, vada, Horlicks and tea. Bathrooms were clean in the ac dining hall. The cost was slightly high for a veg restaurant. Good parking area and the restaurant is located at the Edapally toll junction.

We took a 20 minute ferry ride to the Hotel Saravana Bhavan from Fort Kochi. The ferry ride - return - was under 50 cents. You can walk to the hotel from the ferry dock or pay 50 rupee for a Tuk Tuk. Thali is a traditional Indian dish - often eaten with your hands. A fun lunch among the locals. There is an air conditioned room off the main restaurant. Your Thali is served on a banana leaf - a mound of rice with a number of smaller mounds of other Indian dishes. Also sauces and a dessert. The servers keep the food coming until you are full! One of our true "eating adventures" in India - and the food was good.

Ordered few times from this restaurant which has some good South Indian food available. Tried meals twice, carrot halwa, podi masala dosa and savouries like Andhra murukku, snacks like bajji.. Taste is fine but they priced items more for delivery. Authentic taste makes us to order again.

Tried Mix Veg Fried Rice, Mushroom Paneer Masala, Chilly Mushroom & Butter Naan. Restaurant was over crowded because it is situated in heart of the city and busy place. Ambience is really good and the taste too. I have tried their meals and it was also nice too. Out of the dishes I tried Mushroom Paneer Masala is a must try. This outlet of Saravana Bhavan never disappoints me with the taste and service.

Very spacious restaurant with ample seats for peaceful dining. Quality of food and service is commendable. Being located at the busy Toll Junction at Edappally, there is much crowd almost all the time. During these pandemic days they are open with spot deliveries provide.

Best place in the town to have some delicious vegetarian cuisine especially dosas and idli. Must try is vada pav - served hot with lots of onion and lemon. Its best. Their idli are very soft and tasty - best combo is idli and idli podi. Their North Indian chat items are also good especially the pani puri. Price - Moderate, not expensive. Ambience - Neat and well kept Parking- fairly available

Vegetarian hotel, taste was average when scaling with the restorants in tamilnadu . Space and car parking is ok.ambiance is less. Staff were very polite South indian Meals is the special food here. Masaladosa also ok. Tandoori roti was not up to my expectations. Open up to night 10.30 to 11 pm

Food where not upto the mark. Paneer butter masala was not upto the mark. These curry should be flavoured in North Indio style, which would be the best combinations for Indian breads. Taste before covid was nice.

Best veg restaurant. Superb service and good food with nice ambiance!! Don’t go to roadside building, backside there is one building for Saravana Bhavan itself .. super ambience here !!

Good option for veg lovers and varieties of veg food. At times you might hear some items are not available through , but you wouldn't find it difficult to order a different dish as the options are good enough :) Some observation I had is: When crowded, it's a bit difficult to dine in as there are chances that people wait to pull the chairs and trespass into our space. Though its more of a people culture, staff may ask new customers to wait for a free table based on numbers than everybody is allowed to rush in. Other restaurants in the city do such arrangements.

Tasty food. Dahi papdi chat is quite filling but overall sweet. Chapathi set is good. I've had better pani puri.

Wow, absolutely stunning food. Not only the best dosa I have ever had ( I chose Podi Dosa, I can eat straight chillies and found this just the perfect amount of spicy, for others with a delicate palette this option may be too much heat. ) it is quite possibly the single most delicious thing I have ever eaten in my 32 years of life. I have to say I was blown away. Clean restaurant, fantastic service, great prices, top notch food and coffee. I can't stress enough how excellent the experience was. Just go and eat here.. just do it, no way you will regret it.

Dine-in is available. The poori is good. The sambar and chutney for masala dosa was not as good as expected. The main service staff is good but the Junior staff was unhelpfull and nit that great.

Ridiculous pricing. And the food is below average. They are so greedy for money. We ordered 20 meals which they packed together and took individual packing charges!

Rocking prices and quality and service are not worth their price.... These kind of vegetarian hotels in Cochin seems to be demanding too much money these days.... 79 rs fir a normal ghee roast and second chutney is not the same as first served ones - that was to avoid asking again.,... Then why these hotels demands too much money.... .. Guys, please be aware of these new gen veg hotels... They are looting... After all what the hell in a masala dosa to pay 75 Rs? And tea - 15? all of a sudden... We should not support this....

  • 3/5 Tharun R. 2 years ago on Google

Good food. Good ambience. Usually I have great experiences here. Last visit was met with a weird question from the waiter where he asked me "Is that the only order" and he proceeded to give me a look.

I went there a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday at 3 noon along with my family anticipating a sumptuous vegetarian thali that this place has always been my favourite. But to my disappointment they had already run out of meals. Here my contention is how a restaurant of their standing can deny a customer what he came for as they know their guests will keep on dropping by till 4 noon. That is poor management.

This is the best South Indian vegetarian restaurant. Very neat and tidy. The food is good and so as the ambiance. The staffs are well behaved and they have table service. You can drive in your car here. They have got parking space, but I am not sure if it's wheel chair accessible. I would visit this place again if I want to eat a crispy and big dosa. Would recommend this place to friends.
