Another ride to try a local place. On the waitstaff recommendation, got the hotdog special all the way with fries. Standard fare, but was hot and good tasting. Everyone working there were exceptionally nice and welcoming.

First time here. The food was delicious and fast service as well. Got a double cheeseburger with fries and a chili dog. Also great that they have Coke products. I'll definitely be stopping in to try more of their menu items next time I'm in Eden!

03.27.11 This review is 100% biased. I was born in Eden, NC. My grandparents brought us here somewhat regularly, and, as a result, having "two cheeseburgers with mustard, chili, and slaw, along with a side of french fries and hush puppies" is my "Rosebud." The food is ridiculously good; they are a true Drive-In if you want, and if you ever anywhere near EDEN, NC, you should try them. 11.02.18 I was back in my birthplace for my 79 y/o Mom's wedding, so I *had* to stop by Dick's Drive-In a couple of times. First visit was a cheeseburger w/mustard, chili, slaw (which I've ordered since I was a child) and fries. Ridiculously good. Second visit was inside the restaurant w/brother and his awesome family. Seeing that Dick's had won "best hot dog in town," I ordered that with "the works" and my usual cheeseburger w/mustard, chili, slaw and fries. Also got some hush puppies for the family to try and some slaw. The hot dog was so vibrantly pink that my nieces recoiled but I devoured every bit of it and everything they delivered. My nieces were skeptical, but said they ended up loving it, which brought me joy. I heart this place.

Great food, my favorite is the double cheeseburger with fries and sweet tea!! Great, friendly staff to serve you your food is a plus too. A very good place with a lot of history. It's pretty much a monumental restaurant in Eden.

Great food. I love the history they have on the walls. Pictures of war veterans. It's a wonderful place to eat. I love their double cheeseburgers. Very fast service, friendly staff. They also have a perfect sanitation grade of 100, which is always a plus.

Great place for a quick lunch. "Woody Burger" was fantastic, wife got the BLT and she said it was good as well. Onion Rings were really good and the ranch made them. Tea was not good though, We will go back!!

I recently went back and the food and servers were amazing. The owners come by each and every table as your finishing your meal to make sure everything was OK.

Cool little hometown drive in, diner. It’s not hipstered out, seemed to be the way it has been for a long time. Good burger, good service, nice staff.

Didnt look like much pulling in. But the waitress was very nice. Great menu and the food was really decent. Way better than expected. Already talking about coming again. Bring your own seasonings if you carry out. Looks like they have an older crowd of repeat customers so i think they dont season much for those folks. The price for my dinner was lower than a burger from fast food.

This was always a favorite spot when I was in high school and later, while raising my own family. Even after I moved away from Eden many years ago, I still look forward to coming back to enjoy the excellent Barbecue, Hot Dogs, Burgers and Fries. In fact, everything on the menu is very good and reasonably priced.

Had a hot dog. Few sides and a dessert to go. The table and menu were sticking to each other. The flies in the dining area kept me from really enjoying anything here. Run of the mill get in get out place really. I've had hotdogs all over the world and never had one that was red in color and with a weird taste until here. I thought it was a Big Mama Sausage at first. Bright Red. And I love those things! Certainly not what I got with the first through last bites though. I survived it to live another day though. I tried it. Won't be back.

I ordered their special 2 hot dogs , ff and. A drink for$5.99. The hot dogs were terrible. I took them home. When I got home I called back and told them their hot dogs were terrible. Someone said well you should s t buy them. I was very disappointed. I will never buy hot dogs from them again. I asked for all way. I didn't see any chili or slaw. They had a lot of mustard, ketchup and onions

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Eden, NC. The food is always delicious and the employees are always so nice. You can dine in, pick up or eat outside in your vehicle. If you haven't tried the Carolina Chicken....make sure you do....you won't regret it!

New here, first time and last time I would eat here. I can't believe they would send a burger out like this. No wonder such cheap prices. Can't post a picture of it. Would love to, but not showing where I can.

I've had several different dishes here and was very satisfied with them all. Chicken livers were very good if you like that kind of thing. The turkey is thin sliced but very tasty. Good service as even the owner comes around to make sure you are happy.

We ordered to go and service was great. The lady that waited on us outside was very attentive and nice. Food was great. Never really had any complaints when eating here whether dining in or getting take out.

While passing through. I decided to stop here. First impression is it's a drive in. They only take cash and check. My host was so sweet and humble and came out, got my order in right away. Even brought back a menu for me to look over. While waiting I decided to order more food.... Grilled chicken salad 7/10. They forgot my salads dressing Chicken livers, pickled beets and Mac and cheese 2/10. Fried livers where not fried yet bland and soft no batter. I only at the beets. Mac and cheese had to pass because it was cold considering I watched them microwave the sides My daughter got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and fries. She only at the chicken. Mac and cheese as well as fries where cold considering being microwaved. Overall, the salad and service was excellent but it's not somewhere I would run to eat passing thru again. Would recommend for Burger or salad.

What a Wonderful place to eat!! The food was Great & the atmosphere brings back that hometown feeling I loved growing up. Definitely recommend going here several times!!

I was traveling through going to a nature event and needed to get something quick. I searched Google and found this place. It is an old school drive-in. It was Thanksgiving weekend, so it wasn't busy...busy. People were steadily coming and going. I am not sure if it has an old-school "summer" atmosphere; you know car hops with roller skates and music playing. The young lady who took my order was pleasant and knew the menu. It looks like you can eat inside as well. I chose to eat in my truck. Note to self It is CASH/CHECK ONLY establishment. I didn't have a problem with that. I will be back to try other items on the menu. Because I will be going back up that way.

When you drive 45 minutes for the best hot dogs and hush puppies you know they are good! The Big Jim is also very good!

Talk about a great hotdog!!! Wow! The crinkle cut fries were cooked to perfection & better yet, they were unsalted!! The young ladies working the bar were so friendly & cheerful. The atmosphere was a cool, old diner. Just a great place!

Went yesterday and got two flounder sandwiches hush puppies and fries. The food was cooked in old grease, the fish was not done it was mushy on the inside and the other person that ate the fish started feeling ill. Come to find out they were food poisoned. A lot of vomiting and diarrhea and bad stomach cramps. A waste of $20. Woke up this morning and still doing the same thing.
