$18 for a lift pass that includes a $10 food/merch voucher... What?! You people need to go and learn a winter sport. This place is perfect for beginners to intermediate and if you're an expert you can pop off the trails and meet back up rather easily. The greens meander back and forth over the face of the mountains and the blues and blacks are straight shots down. The mountain is pretty wide open so you can keep an eye on your group. There are many little trails through the woods that are challenging and fun for new skiers/snowboarders. The lodge is pretty small but the prices are as well. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Over all a great experience and a cool little mountain.

Great little ski resort. It was a good place to teach my son to ski. I really like the new lift they put in. One thing I really like was that there is a great area for beginners to learn and they have a conveyer belt called the magic carpet so you can practice there before trying to tackle the bunny hill since a lot of times the bunny hill is still too hard for beginners.

I love this place. How is this not better known? It has great hills, customer service, and food. It has the full package. Plus, it's at such a great price and kids under 12 go free. We have gone here so many times after we discovered it. We loved the hills. They have a lot of great beginner hills for kids and people looking to improve. I was able to learn some new maneuvers that I could not learn at other places. Their magic carpet is great for kids. My son learned so much. It got him ready for the slopes. They also have advance runs to get the adrenaline pumping, and test out your new maneuvers. There were runs that were intense. Most though were fkr everyone. Their customer service is great. Everyone was so nice. My phone was acting up, and they went out of their way to get us on the slopes. They answered all our many dumb questions. They also have a gear shop with awesome shirts. They have snow gear too. They have it all. Last, their food is at a great price and tastes great. It was nice getting pizza, and then eating it near the fire pit that looks out on the mountain. They have a bar too. You can get your drink on. We will definitely be back over and over. This is a must visit. There are also a lot of hotels and restaurants nearby. You will have plenty to do on and off of the slopes. We always get our tickets online.

Nordic valley was okay. Pretty small resort but overall not bad. The addition of the high speed lift really helps out the resort. this place is much better than it was 10 years ago. Hard to compare a place like this to some of the other Utah mega resorts. As far as small resorts go this place was pretty fun.

We love this resort because it is small and easy to navigate. It was a great spot to teach our kids to ski and snowboard without having to mortgage the house. Primarily locals at this resort. In low snow years, it just doesn’t get the same base as other resorts, so check the reports before you head up.

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about this place. This was the first time that we had skied in Utah and we were too intimidated to attend the big resorts, so after much research we made the decision to go to Nordic Valley and I am so glad that I did. We went on a Thursday and it was not busy at all but we still had a blast. There were some lifts that were not open because the snow hasn’t been great this season, but we enjoyed what we could. We purchased our rentals and lift tickets prior to arrival and it was such an easy process. Honestly, the lift tickets were very cheap compared to others. We did do lessons as well and Will was awesome. He was so patient and made it click for us. We showed up not confident, but left there flying down the mountain and doing turns. Very glad we did the private lessons with him. We will be back next time that we are in Utah. I absolutely recommend taking the ride out from Salt Lake and spending a few hours here.

I really want this little mountain to be successful. I grew up riding here. After taking my nieces and nephews here to learn to snowboard, I don’t think this place is going to last. The customer service in the ticket window was short and harsh. We got stuck out at the nordic express lift and eventually had to hike ourselves out. Ski patrol said it was a mechanical issue and they were trying to gather snow mobiles to get everyone (probably 20 people in line) back to the base area. Hiking with gear and little people uphill was rough and snow mobiles never came to evacuate people. It took us nearly 2 hours to get the kids and gear out of there. Wish they would have closed the run or let us ride the lift out seeing we were next in line before closing it. Seemed to be a controlled shut down, as the people in front of us in line were allowed on before closing the line. If things go awry on this mountain, do not expect customer service or to be taken care of. Appreciate the affordability and you get what you pay for.

Such a fun experience at this resort today! It was our first time snowboarding and the hill was 10/10 perfect to learn on. All the staff were also super helpful with tips, and encouragement while trying to make it down the mountain. They had 2 lifts open and one hill had a lot of beginners and the other seemed empty and a lot steeper. Highly recommend if you are new to skiing or snow boarding and want to get into it. They also have a food that’s close to the lifts so you don’t have to hike to far.

Came up on a Tuesday for a fun day of skiing! It’s a smaller, cute resort but with plenty of different runs for all levels. We pulled up 10 minutes before lifts started and found a parking spot right up front! As a beginner/starting-intermediate, I appreciated the green runs that span the entire length of the mountains— you’re not stuck on just one or two short boring slopes. My friends are more advanced and spent the afternoon (while I was in a lesson) on the blues and blacks and had no complaints. Also there’s a *~*~secret lift~*~* that was fun to find and the scenery was breathtaking. I signed up for an adult group lesson and ended up with a two hour private lesson! I did my first two blue runs (the first more successfully than the second, lol, oh well) and worked on parallel turns, upper/lower body separation, pole plants, and hockey stops! Brody was very encouraging and I can’t wait to keep practicing and gain more confidence. I know I can do it now! Plus it was such a beautiful day! The only problems were: it was SO WARM in our gear (spring skiing lol) and then our legs got tired. Also, I wish this were closer to SLC proper because I’d like to come more often. 😂🎿 I’d be scared to drive the Ogden divide road if it were icy and snowy, but that’s par the course for canyon driving.

THE BEST! local, non-profit, volunteer-run ski resort, budget-friendly, the best staff around!!! Beats those pricey ski resorts around this town. Great for families with small children, great for beginners alike. You can bike, snow-shoeing, ski.

Great resort, best hill to learn and grow on in the area and still plenty of fun for more advanced riders. The staff does awesome.

The online service is TERRIBLE. I called 4 different times on 4 different days and they still didn't answer! I also checked the website to see which lifts were open, and it said ALL 5. I showed up to see only the magic carpet and beginner lift where open :( Employees were great, but the snow was soggy-(i think they usually have good snow). This resort has a lot of potential, but it's lacking good online services, and lift maintenance. (The main resort access lift was closed) Take everything they have online with a grain of salt. In conclusion, i will be coming back, but only because they are affordable and they have a high speed lift. (I went December 19th, 2023)

We got season passes this year and got amazing value from them, easily getting a 5 star value. The trail map is rough, and the signage on the trails is vague in many spaces. The Nordic Express gives rapid access to a lot of great terrain, but this season was negatively impacted by some outages of the Apollo lift that had a real downer on the resort experience. I'm planning to come back next season and would suggest the same to anyone looking for an excellent value.

This place is not ready to be open! We spent $300 for our family to ski. We got there at 10:00 and weren't able to get a single run in until 12:30 because of the lines, and that run was on Crockett, which if you don't know takes about 45 seconds to get down. It was the only lift that you could access. Once you waited two hours to get to the top of that, you did have the option to wait in line for another 45 minutes or so to catch a sled that would take you to another place where you could again wait in line to get to the new lift. Also the Apollo and Bridger lifts were closed, so only 50% of the lifts were running. I went to talk to someone about getting a credit or refund, but again had to wait in line, but this time it was a line of people complaining. The lady in front of me was complaining about the parking conditions, and the person in front of her complained about the lack of bathroom facilities and described a overflowing toilet with no way to wash their hands. At least I didn't have to experience that. By the time it was my turn I was greeted by a lady who came out swinging. She said she was the manager but should not ever be in charge of any type of customer service. She didn't care at all about any of my concerns and told me I should go to Powder Mountain if I didn't like it there. Pow Mow is pretty awesome if you haven't been. Nordic Valley essentially stole $300 from my family and referenced the contract that applied when we purchased the tickets as an excuse to do so. I understand that, but the contract also provides that you will provide a ski resort for us to use. There's the contract, and then there's the right thing to do. They're choosing the contract. This place is not ready to be open. I feel bad for them and the loss of the lodge, but if you can't provide the services that you say you can, then you shouldn't be open yet and you sure shouldn't be accepting money from people. In the long run we paid $300 for a run that took about 45 seconds to go down, got zero help from one of the rudest customer service "managers" that I've ever met, were unable to access the one other lift that was running, and waisted half a day getting there and back.

Today was our first time skiing at Nordic Valley and it was great!. It’s a wonderful small town resort that has plenty to offer all ski levels. We especially enjoyed the tree trails, skiing under the Nordic Express lift, and the many small jumps and side trails. There were lots of challenging runs on the Nordic Express lift.

Night skiing here was an absolute blast. It’s an awesome local smaller resort with much cheaper prices than Snowbasin and the SLC resorts. Great place to take beginner skiers and snowboarders.

Great place for the kids to learn to ski! The prices are right, the snow is awesome and the ski instructors were kind and patient. There was enough variety to keep my husband happy too. We'll definitely be back this season

Great mountain! Passes are cheap compared to basin and pow mow. The terrain is pretty fun especially on their new side, nordic express. The employees are super nice. The kitchen cooks great food, rental staff is always happy and ready to help, even the lifties load you with a smile. Truly an awesome mountain!

Overall this was a very great first ski trip. The park was very clean, the staff were very friendly. The views were absolutely amazing. What more can I say other than great job on behalf of the park staff.

The lodge burned down so you have to sit outside and eat from food trucks and use porta potties. There are only 2 lifts open, in order to go from the small hill to the other side you have to take a 18 seated bobcat looking thing. By the way it closes at 1, (this is not advertised). If you want to go over there after 1 you have to walk on the road or hike. All this for a day pass worth $70, no thanks! Save your money and go to a better resort with modern amenities. This place is only semi acceptable if you are a true beginner and don't mind staying on one hill all day but don't forget about the food trucks, porta potties and sitting outside at park benches to eat.

About the only affordable place left for skiing near Ogden. They may not offer the additional amenities some of the other resorts have, but at $50 (day pass) you really can't beat it. They only have a few lifts, two of which are out of service. The fairly recent addition of their 6-seat "Nordic Express" lift opened up some nice terrain though. Staff is great and they're making do without a lodge for the time being. Parking lot is set up with trailers for rentals, tickets, etc. and there are a couple food trucks there every day.

Good luck getting anyone to respond to emails or getting a cancellation. Attempted to contact them several times without any response from either their email address or their webpage.

This is a great resort. It is smaller than most but the ticket prices reflect that. The lift tickets are very cheap compared to cottonwood resorts. They are also great for hosting a skibike race. This is an amazing resort.

Second time going. Once last year and again this year. Both times were great. Our family will continue to go this resort and we hope it stays open.

My husband and I signed up for snowboarding lessons this week at Nordic Valley. This was our first time going snowboarding, and Romney did an amazing job instructing us. He went above and beyond to help us learn. The whole staff was very pleasant and we really enjoyed our experience here! I recommend checking it out.

Snow has been phenomenal this year and I moved north of SLC leaving the LCC and BCC resorts. I decided to give Nordic Valley a shot, and it reminds me a lot of small ski resorts I grew up with. Terrain is fun, plenty of beginner terrain, and the expansion of Nordic Express has opened up a lot more fun terrain. I'll be coming back!

What a terrible resort!! Their main lift broke down in March and they said they would have it running by next season. We bought season passes for this season and they still don't have the lift fix. They offer no refund or discount. Everyone is stuck on one beginner lift and long lines. Terrible!! I tried Beaver Mountain and it was amazing compared to Nordic valley!!

This place isn’t worth the money. Two of the four chairlifts are broken. The lodge is burnt down. The staff seems really unhappy. They charged $90 for what should have been 4 hours of skiing, which turned out to be 3 hours when they closed their one good chairlift early. As the guy selling lift tickets says, save your money and “Go to Beaver Mountain!!” BTW Beaver Mountain is $70/day and better in every imaginable way.

Full price ticket for a bunny hill you get to share with 100's of other people because the other chairlifts are NEVER working. I wanted to love this resort and after trying 4 times to ski there we will NEVER be coming back. The customer service is absolute trash, go literally anywhere but this place.

They refuse to process a refund for tickets they said they will refund due to the closure from the fire. They are just playing hooky, saying they will eventually but keep extending the date they will do it and it has been well over a month and they still will not send the refund and have stopped responding to emails.
