The Herringbone Edenton

Restaurant Bar Event venue

👍 Wonderful venue with great options, including a bunch menu on the weekend. Good food presentation and taste. Small town venue, so be patient and polite as staff seemed to be short-handed. Outdoor seating provides an excellent view of the bay, weather permitting. People often mention great,

Gorgeous atmosphere with history, amazing food! Especially enjoyed the stone ground grits with barbecue shrimp appetizer and field greens salad! Wish I had room for dessert! Also loved my blackberry, gin, mint cocktail!

This is a great place to go. Our server (Amy) was great after taking our drink order, and my wife and I were looking at the food at the other tables to decide what to order. Everything looked good, Amy came in singing to the song being played, brought our drinks, and mine the bloodymary was great. My wife got the hurricane slurry, both were awesome. She helped us decide what to order. Great advice. My wife got the burger, and I got the avocado toast. Outstanding well worth the trip. The cooks need to get credit the preparing a great meal, and bar tender knows how to fix some awesome drinks. We will definitely go back

We were not greeted when we entered even after waving at the bar staff to let them know we wanted to be seated. The food was good but not comparable to the price. I think the concept and location is great, but they have priced themselves to serve a high-end client. I don't mind paying up for a great meal, but I was disappointed that there is no signature complementary starter at the meal prices. Expect at least $20 and up per person with one of the highest desert prices in town.

Beautiful relatively new restaurant by the historic lighthouse and waterside. It's well planned out and decorated and the food is fresh and delicious. John was lovely to have conversation with as we ate a refreshing lunch after a trolley tour. The swordfish over grits was amazing and the crab cake my mother ordered with asparagus was also perfectly prepared.

Decided to stop here on the way back home from a trip. Great place for brunch. We ate inside and then sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine. Only reason I give it 4 stars is that our server would disappear. She never came back to ask if we wanted another round for our drinks, and we had to ask another for things that we needed like ketchup. Other than that the food was excellent.

On a whim, took a short detour to Historic Downtown Edenton - so glad we did! Had an amazing lunch at The Herringbone! Impeccable service, delicious food, cool atmosphere. We sat at the bar for lunch and a drink, friendly small talk with locals while the charming bartender shared history stories about Edenton. Put The Herringbone on your list of places to go!

Amy, our server was great. We had a great time. With some really good food. Food seasoned perfectly & deserts were just the right amount. And the buildings architecture was beautiful. This experience was worth it for me. I definitely will return with more patrons.
