I went here a few days ago and my experience here was great! The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I ordered a chicken sandwich with mash potatoes and everything tasted delicious. They have a pretty decent size drink selection for the cocktails. I really loved the flavor of the cocktails, definitely really good. I would definitely return.

The food was delicious and the service was good. Kinda on the pricy side, but you get A LOT of food. No complaints. We stopped in to check the place out for an upcoming birthday party. We ended up making a reservation.

We LOVE Tavern on France! We’ve been coming here for years. The food is great, the servers are friendly, and my favorite - Happy Hour Appetizers. They have a ton of great options on their happy hour menu, but my favorite has to be the sesame sticks. Don’t be fooled - they’re not dry crackers. They are sesame breaded chicken strips and they are AMAZING. Incredibly juicy, generously sized, and the best part is they come with 4 different dipping sauces. So if you’re like me and you want to rotate between all the condiments - this is the appetizer for you! We also love the onion rings, the burger sliders, the flatbread pizzas, and the sandwiches. My personal winter favorite is the French onion soup. It’s extra cozy on a snowy night. Tavern also offers an alll-you-can-eat Sunday brunch for $18/person. They have several breakfast staples as well as some regular menu options. They have a Tavern club card that you pay a one time fee to sign up for (I think $25? But not positive about that) but then you get 20% off every bill forever! So we’ve been using that for years. (Yes, the discount even applies on top of happy hour prices!) This is just an all around great place if you’re looking for a tasty dinner, after work drinks, or weekend brunch.

The food was good, but leaned towards the blander side. I appreciated their service and they had a wide variety of items on their menu to accommodate most tastes.

I'd say this spot is legendary. There's so much you can do here, a great utilization of space. There's a dining room, bar, party room, and outside terrace with a fire pit. The area fits the company of the food which is the star. My last visit the customer service was suburb! We didn't feel rushed or neglected. I think adding bigger TV's in the bar area would be a hit. Not sure if they want just a taste of fandom in the bar area or being open to a sports take over. I know their other locations have a bigger TV/sports presence, they may reserve this location for elegance. The food is phenomenal, I wish they had better dessert. My experience that it was prepped with as much care as the food is. That's not something that would make me skip this place but something on my wishlist. Overall, I return here and enjoy what they do well time and time again. Don't forget to tell me what you think.

Came for happy hour. Food...for the price was amazing. Had the Italian nachos and sesame sticks (chix tenders and dipping sauce). Either could be a meal on its own. Filling and flavorful. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Not much atmosphere to the place, but still a good vibe. Looking for a good happy hour in the Bloominton area - do not walk - run to Tavern on France!!

I visited on a Friday evening with my husband and overall we were underwhelmed to say the least. The service was terrible. We were seated in our booth for probably 5 minutes before the server came over to introduce herself and get our beverage orders, another 5 minutes before we got waters and then another 5 to 10 more minutes before my husband got his drink from the bar. My husband ordered the build your own burger and I got a pasta dish. The food was decent but did not live up to the prices. Someone else brought our food and our server never checked in on us to see if we needed anything or to ask how things were tasting. My husband had also ordered a second beverage prior to our food arriving and it never showed up by the time we finished eating so we told our waitress to cancel it and bring the bill. The process of her bringing the check and returning it took a very long time and she went to take other people's orders and things while she had our card instead of running it and bringing it back. When she did bring it back she did not include the original copy of the receipt or a pen to sign the bill. I understand that there may be staffing issues at this time but we were seated by the kitchen with direct views in through the window and there were plenty of servers just standing around regularly.

The crab dip appetizer and pumpkin cake dessert were both phenomenal. However the gyro sliders were disappointing, with very little meat overwhelmed by shredded lettuce and tzatziki. Friendly service, reasonable prices for an Edina lunch spot.

This place has a great vibe. Busy place. Great food, great service. It was my second time here and I must say I would highly recommend the tavern on France. Last time I had the boom boom shrimp and this time I had the widow maker burger and a cup of chicken tortilla soup with an ice tea. There was a few minutes we waited to get a table but we did not wait for our order once it was placed. Fast....

Medium rare steak cooked to perfection. Nachos were delicious as well. The burger was juicy and flavorful. Though they were super busy, the staff was attentive and seemed to be working well as a team. Overall a very satisfying experience with very fair pricing, I might add!

Buffalo Mac and Cheese was delicious! Meat loaf was very good as well. Scott was our waiter and he couldn’t have been better! Very kind and fast service

This place is great on its own and I love the food, but we got really lucky with Luke as our server on our last visit. He was so kind and patient with my out-of-town grandma, perfectly attentive, and--as a fun bonus--gives Antoni Porowski vibes. The baked spaghetti and buffalo chicken salad were also awesome, but service is what makes the experience.

I've always found the food and service to be the top 5 of my go to restaurants. The fish and chips are my favorite, but I haven't had anything that I wouldn't order again. Build your own burgers, salad and pizza are a nice touch.

The club sandwich looked great. Tasted absolutely awful. I couldn’t even eat the turkey. It smelled like fish and was slimy. The server just said “sorry” and I’ll let the kitchen know. So, if you have inedible food, just know that you’ll still have to pay for it when you don’t eat it.

Lunch with an out of town friend. Tasty food. Buffalo Mac and cheese was super. Service quite slow to deliver but too quick IMHO to toss leftovers left behind. Patio is long and narrow, a lot of concrete with very little lunchtime shade. Patio bar stools are unusually low for bar, requiring use of extra patio sofa pillows to approximate normal seat height. Food served without any silverware; had to ask. Music remained on loud side after request made for dialing back of volume. (We were sitting right below speakers.) Restaurant management felt cold and a bit prickly. But pleasant server. Left feeling a bit let down overall. But it was great to see my friend, and we made the best of it!

Great place. Ultra cool, trendy, and terrific atmosphere. Staff was all moving around and provided excellent service. Food was incredible. Built salad and built pizza. Gotta see for yourself!

Valentine’s Day it smelled so good. Our tables food was mediocre. My son had a club sandwich that was rated 5/10. I had the Ruben sandwich that I’d give 2/10. The meat was NOT cooked. Had slimy bad parts of meat in the sandwich that I seen after biting it. Had they cooked the meat it would have been better. I barely ate because the sandwich was disgusting after the first few bites and the waffle fries at our table were cooked too hard wasn’t edible. Server was amazing though. Wish the food matched the smells. Over hyped and over priced .

Went here for lunch with the family. They were able to seat us quickly, and the food was delicious. Portions are large and can easily be split between two people.

Stopped in after an evening out with my lady. Inquired about some hot tea as we were just going to relax by the fire... 15 minutes went by and no one came back. Went back up and asked again. A nice gentleman said that he would take care of it. A couple minutes later we had our tea.... As we were preparing to leave I flagged down a server to get our bill for the tea and she said it was on them for the mix up. I know tea is not that expensive but it was just about the gesture and them admitting their error. Thanks Tavern on France outdoor staff!! We will come back!!

This place is amazing. I rarely review on here, but I figured I might as well since I've enjoyed this place for close to a decade. Food is nearly always great. Waffle fries and seasoned sour cream or cheesy jalapeno sauce to dip in is to die for, we always get extra. The customizable burgers have so many options that you will find some combination you like. Their $20 membership for life program that gets you 25oz mugs of beer for under $5 is awesome and adds to the tavern atmosphere. And it even adds a 20% discount on the first $100 of your tab I believe. I save money and pass it on to the servers with 30-50% tips. If you're not rating this place 5 stars, I feel sorry for you. Maybe the time you went, you got the rare time the food might have been slightly off (which can happen anywhere) or maybe the staff wasn't having a great day at the time. We're all human after all. Or maybe you're one of those chronic complainers who hates everything. But this place and it's other locations I've been to deserve the 5 stars.

I went here for the bloody mary bar which was fabulous. I really liked the “build your own” concept. The bartenders were very accommodating and friendly. The reason I am giving only 1 star is because of the lack of cleanliness that I witnessed: 1) mold behind the sink & the “sanitizing station”. 2) The LAYERS of dust on the overhead vents was THICK: unfathomable. I have never seen that in a restaurant/bar before. This is bordering health department reporting.

Food was good, service was decent, but there is apparently a known issue with the AC vent dripping on the booths in the bar area. Super gross to have that water splashing on our food and the blinds on the windows clearly haven’t been cleaned in a while either, dusty and cobwebs. Disappointing that the environment is so gross.

I thought the food was fantastic! We got pretzels for apps. They definitely seemed hand made and brushed with butter and dusted with salt. So soft and fresh. I got a pizza that was also tasty. Had artichokes and a sweet taste to it. Our server was also super attentive. Never had to ask for refills. She was on it with fantastic service 👏

What a great place,! They have some unique ways to order food. There are tablets of paper with a huge selection of items to build your own burger or salad. I did the build your own salad. It was the best salad I've ever had. Our waitress was fantastic, she was attentive but not pushy. We had cocktails because it was happy hour, $2 off the cocktails. I will definitely go back, next time I'm going to do the build your own burger. The regular menu had a lot of delicious looking items as well. Check them out, I think you will like it!

Ordered via DoorDash as I’m from out of state. Chicken fettuccine was extremely oily. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Noodles were over cooked and pretty much mushy. No flavor, not sure why they are called Cajun. The burger I got was good. Waffle fries were hard as rocks and I couldn’t eat them.

Food was good. Appetizer was great. Service was decent. Got seated at a table with a vent above that spattered me and the seat back with "water" throughout the meal. Told the two young ladies up front. No apology, was just told, "yeah, that happens." Nice. Table beside us also had to send part of their order back because of a mistake. Will be choosing a different place when we come back to Bloomington.

Ah, love this brunch buffet. The spread is great if you want brunch but also want pancakes. The fresh fruit and scones are my favorite and the setting is comfortable but also appropriate for nice Sunday brunch attire if you wanna floss a little bit. The one thing their missing is the bottomless mimosas!! BUT otherwise great time will be back and I hope we can enjoy the fireplace they have outside :)

Building my own burger never gets old. I have never tried anything else, and I dont really need or intend to. The service is excellent. The food is cooked to perfection. I have total control over what my burger contains. What more can a girl ask for?

As always the food was good. Had to tell the chef at carving station that some pans were nearly empty. The service, however, was not very good. My husband didn't get his apple juice until after he ate and someone else brought it, our server was slow and when we asked for our check and split it, instead of asking who was together she split the bill four ways, charged our daughter and son-in-law for 3 buffets, one bloody Mary but no apple juice. Luckily we had a very nice young man who took care of it and straightened it out. It was busy but she wasn't paying attention.

Great service and food. We have been here on several occasions and it's always been good . They are great with allergies too! Today we were in for lunch (3/19) and ordered burgers. I ordered it medium. It came out raw, the server was phenomenal trying to correct it and felt truly bad. It was not his fault, and accidents do happen. The manager came over and said "your burger was raw?" We said yes and he nodded and walked away. We had one more interaction with the manager and he is probably one of the worst managers I have met, I feel bad that the staff have to deal with him. A leaders is someone who keeps their head up and offers the best customer service. The wait staff were great maybe one of them can take his place.
