Family meal out for my son's birthday but was totally spoiled by staff messing up bringing out his birthday cake as a surprise. I had called ahead to check if they were able to bring it over to the table at the end of the meal as a surprise and they said absolutely. I was told when i arrived to just let a waiter/waitress know when we wanted it. We quietly requested them to bring it out and instead they came over with the bill??? so we said no we wanted you to bring out his cake, so then they came out with a plate with bite size cheesecake and carrot cake and marshmallows on a plate with candles singing happy birthday ..... at which point I had to tell them in front of my son that we had an actual birthday cake made with his name etc and numbered candles so eventually they brought it but the moment was gone, spoiling the surprise.

Rated based on overall experience. The buffet price is 17.99 where as the items are minimal especially who are vegetarian. Even the friends who came along with me who tried non veg also not satisfactory. Onion rings are not hot served and when i reach at 19.15 its almost over and not refilled. Hope we need to reach early to taste all items hot and served. If you reach late you miss items covered on the buffet. The same applies for dessert as well very limited options and no refill if it over in late. I liked the Nachos and Mushroom nothing much. More important one the drinks are not included on the price which i would say it would worth if they add the drinks along with the price.

Opened at 12:30 pm today (Sunday) Tried a lot of dishes till I had my fill. Finished after more than an hour. Food are tasty and hot. This is just my second time here and I again enjoyed my meal. Definitely worth what you'll pay for. I added a bottomless soda and paid a total of £25+ . Staff are ready to assist and are courteous as well. Cheers!

COSMOS is a large all you can eat buffet restaurant near the Omni Centre at the top of Leith Walk. It offers all kinds of hot and cold food from many different cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Italian and traditional UK food. As the food is available all the time it is sometimes not piping hot which is a bit of a downside. Staff are available at some of the serving areas to help you customise some dishes. There is, of course, a good selection of desserts too. There is also a reasonable selection of alcoholic drinks available. Tables must be booked and must be vacated after 2 hours. Staff are on hand to assist and are courteous/friendly.

Fantastic place to visit... The food and staff were just fabulous... I don't normally eat dessert but I couldn't resist todays buffet menu... And really good value for money...

No complaints here. For the price and compared to whats available in the area this was great. Not a quiet place when busy (obviously). Staff were friendly and helpful. Great selection and would recommend. Thanks

This is a fantastic buffet. Eat as much as you like good quality food. In particular you can get freshly cooked teppanyaki with great cuts of salmon, steak, king prawns, gyoza, squid ... the list goes on. Around £15.99 for adult (varies depending on time / day) children £7.99. They also offer a student discount Mon to Thursday (I think) & a blue light card discount - valid at weekends

Very well designed. Great tables to sit at. Unlimited soda! Lots of food to stuff your face with. Pizza. Mussels. Turkey. Gammon. Lasagne. Fries. Hash browns. Beijing ribs. Sweet and sour chicken. Lots of Chinese food. Thai meatballs. Ice cream machine. Candy. Chocolate fountain. Marshmallows. Popcorn. Loved it. If I were to add a suggestion, I would hope that there would be a better selection of sushi. There was no salmon maki or nigiri.

This is a good restaurant. While it is not the best COSMO I've been to (it is definitely outmatched by COSMO Manchester and COSMO Aberdeen), it is still a good restaurant nonetheless. The selection and variety of food is not as vast as the other two I mentioned, but I still enjoyed my time here. I like the buffet system of the restaurant and the prices are not extortionate. Food is tasty and it's definitely a good venue for lunches and dinners, both formal and semi-formal.

Wonderful service and a great selection of food for brilliant prices. The seafood didn’t look too appetising which knocks off a star, but one of the chefs was extremely friendly. Recommend to anyone!

Absolutely tip top love this place I've been here a few times before good good good decore and even dispite the thronging crowd there's a nice feel to the place definitely worth the money but book before you go coz the que can be killer outside of you turn up on speck

Went for lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. The food was pretty nice with a large amount of asian and Indian selections and a robust desserts and a teppanyaki section. The items were fresh and were being replaced fairly quickly when things were running out. Order the drinks when you sit down and the servers ask. They get really busy in the middle of service and any order you place then usually takes a bit of time. Items I really loved : Lamb Rogan Josh, Prawns, Steaks and Salmon made to order on the live grill.

We went right as they opened the doors for service and just got a seat. I would recommend booking a table in advance. The food is quite good and I like the selection, but I've had better buffets at lower prices. There was also free refills on soft drinks which I was quite surprised at.

The food wasn't that great, not so tasty, not many options, some of them empty and took quite long to be replaced. Plates from the table weren’t picked up , just once in 90 min ,we had few as we were 4 people, drinks only on arrival after that quite hard to get someone to order a drink. 90 min isn’t enough , i eat quite slow not a big quantity however i like to enjoy my meal. Without reservations on a weekend be ready to wait around 30 min. Tables were crowded, bot enough space in between.

We enjoyed our dinner as there was a lot of food to choose from My little pumpkin enjoyed himself more than us he was going crazy for the dessert menu

Nice restaurant, great food qnd wonderful service. I enjoyed my meals and time there. The staff are very polite and quick to clean your table once you are done. They really did help me out with my baby(providing her high chair, picking her play things when they fell). There is also variety of meals you can select from and I enjoyed every single meal I had.

The food was nice and the cocktail I had was yummy 😋! I only give it 4 stars because we weren't told that we have the option to pay for unlimited refill of drinks and 5 minutes before we had to leave because they were closing ( we knew they were going to close soon) when I asked about the drinks they pretended that they didn't understand the question and we paid almost £4 for quarter glass of a very poor quality Pepsi. We would definitely go to eat again, but, make sure you check the menu first and don't rely on asking the waitresses.

Me and my family came here during our Scotland trip and it was the first proper buffet we've been to. They had lots of great dishes. They're toilets were very clean and very pleasant to see. The seats we were assigned to were very luxurious. I loved the desserts and the variety of different cuisines from different places. My kids loved the ice-cream machine and the chocolate fountain. We generally loved the atmosphere because we came at evening time, everything was dark and just lovely to experience. Recommended and will come again!

Lots of food choices, which is great. I did try the Chinese, Thai and Indian food. Would be a good idea to have Mexican or South American food too.

There were amazing selections of food from asian, british and american dishes. I loved the section were they would cook the food in front of you with the selection of beef, dumplings, salmon and prawns. I also love the variety of asian food. Don't forget to try their soft ice cream.

Cosmo never disappoints, is and will always be my guilty pleasure, make sure you try a little bit of everything cause every dish tastes amazing 🍤

Really enjoyed it, staff were awesome on entering cleared the table when needed, polite. A Really good selection of cuisine. Would definitely recommend. But the best point is the staff for being welcoming to the kitchen staff for smashing the menu great
