    Cigarette smoke in the bedroom and management office don't care. I rented an apartment from them at Meridian Square, everything was perfect until we started getting cigarette smoke in the main bedroom from the bathroom because our downstairs neighbor smokes inside his bathroom and the management office don't care about the issue. We've sent three letter and many phone calls. The maintenance guy came once and told they'll speak to the downstairs neighbor but nothing else happened and they won't even call us about the letters we've sent. We explained that we have a 5 month old baby who have gotten sick because of that and myself since I'm allergic to cigarette smoke but still we don't have a response. We even told them we're willing to relocate within the complex but still not a response. This issue is just getting worst because the smoke is seeping under the bathroom door ( we are not using that bathroom, is permanently closed) and even more when the heat is on which is absolutely necessary. When we went to rent everything was perfect, there was always someone to answers our questions, now NO ONE is coming forward not even to listen about the issue. The apartment is big and nice and even though the appliances are very old they would come and fix them when we complain but this is a very serious issue they are just ignoring and we just found out other families have moved out because they had this issue and were ignored as well. Now we're looking for another place to live. Having to spend more money on deposits and fees because the lease is not due and move during winter with a baby, to me this is the worst place to rent from. Be Aware!!

    Horrible management.I live in 515 Cheryl dr Gill Lane . Not responsive got hunged up on everytime u call customer service. I have cracks in my ceiling from the excessive banging and noise from 519. I’ve complained in emails 21 times and nothing but automatic response from robots. Cockroaches everywhere even in the hallway. Pest control will be called soon. And they want to raise the rent at the max of 5% which is ridiculous with all the stuff we deal with. We had our first baby and told the people upstairs we were having a baby and the excessive noise just got worse. People upstairs threw toys down the balcony which lead to dents in my mother in laws car. Still nothing has happened from management. We literally have had no property manger for the last 2 months. Which is crazy. Not a warning or nothing that Viktor is leaving. I have a lot of pictures which were sent in emails. I would gladly post them if I don’t get a response back

    The maintenance services for the Edison woods is the worst. I keep calling them for the service and they keep creating work orders and the result is that they close the work order without even servicing it. Terrible is all that I can say. Giving it a one STAR coz you cannot proceed to post it.

    We are the current resident of one of their town-homes. From last 3 months we have been complaining about the centralized AC. For reasons unknown, The complaint gets closed every time I generate it. We spent our entire summer with centralized ACs NOT WORKING. The company gave us window ACs which weren't effective. All the rain water used to come through the window, We asked several times the maintenance guy to take off the AC but at the end, we removed the window AC by our own. Maintenance guy says the management is poor, management says maintenance guys will come and fix the issue. They keep on blaming each other and tenant suffers!!!!!!! I pity on people who are visiting here to rent.

    Lived at the Edison Woods location about 6 months so far in an “updated” apartment. The only difference between this apartment and the non updated ones are the cabinets so save your money. Since we moved in, we’ve had to have maintenance here more than 12 times with one pending. There was an outlet hanging from the wall upon moving in, our dishwasher didn’t work (2 visits to fix this and a 3rd to adjust it because it wasn’t secured properly), we have an ant problem because our neighbors keep garbage bags outside their back door (no correction from property management despite complaining), we had to ASK to have our dryer vents cleared, they came 3 times for our water heater, and our balcony door was causing a leak in the apartment below us so we got that upgraded, they came twice for a leak under our bathroom sink and now our refrigerator doesn’t work. Even though the fridge is an “emergency”, property management said they’ll “try” to get someone out today. Why are they updating the apartment as I’m living here and only when I point out what’s wrong… but they charge me for an updated apartment?? Because it’s run by Best Rent NJ, there’s no human to talk to with these issues. Any time we call and ask for a manager we get sent to a call center where we are told they “don’t work for the property” so they’re kind of useless. Maintenance doesn’t give time frames so even though we had to throw away all of our refrigerated food, we can’t go get lunch because they might show up and if you miss them you have to start the process all over. If you’re looking for an apartment, keep looking. They are obviously not checking the apartments thoroughly in between tenants and they clearly do not seem to care when there are issues. It’s no surprise they have such low ratings and reviews. We understand things break and go wrong.. but it’s a little bit out of hand when we constantly need to put our lives on hold to have things repaired that should’ve been done before we moved in here. If the complex makes this right by coming in and doing a PROPER inspection I’ll update the review.

    I returned the keys 1 day late because my lease end date was a weekend date and they charged me pro-rated rent. When I filed a dispute with the legal department, they said they would respond within 30 days but it's now been 2 months and nobody has responded. They are quick to take your money but will take ages to answer questions, resolve disputes and look into clearly unfair matters. I wouldn't lease at any of their properties ever again.

    The website has wrong information for rent amounts. You will have to waste time in calling just to know that the rents are higher and then evaluate if its in within your affordability.

    I recently moved to Green Plaza apartment in Iselin Woodbridge . I worked with Valerie and she was really helpful in whole process starting from guiding to see the place and tour and finishing with the lease and everything. I would really rate Valerie big starts for really making the move in so easy .
