receptionist has a nasty attitude over the phone, itā€™s like they donā€™t want to work. I called for a neurologist instead the put me with an intern.I explained to them my symptoms, I need a neurologistā€¦ I sent them my pcp script referring me to a neurologist, I called and the lady at the phone gave me an attitude. Fast forward a week I called to confirm my appointment and before my appointment she says ā€œWell I only have an intern available ā€œ Hackensack Meridian needs to reevaluate the people they hire , this is insane. On top of all that, they charge 535 dollars to my insurance. Iā€™m 3 months later paying the price, ive lost too much to whatever disease itā€™s causing everything in my body to malfunction, Iā€™ve lost 15 pounds twitching uncontrollably, and my heart is starting to be affected by it and they have me waiting for 3 months to see them again. Please avoid this hospital and Hackensack Meridian overall, Atlantic health care system ( Morristown) surpasses Hackensack Meridian in every way. This is not the first time Iā€™ve had issues with them, the problem is that itā€™s hard to avoid them since they are becoming a monopoly in nj. >>>To the lady on the phone, why are you so bitter? Quit your job, these are peopleā€™s health you are dealing with. I canā€™t imagine the amount of people that have been discouraged to seek help because of your disgusting attitude.

My visit was maybe 2 years ago, but it was horrible. I made the appt over the phone and said ā€œI would like to make an appt with a neurologistā€. I get my apptā€¦ show upā€¦ spend about 20 min with the dr talking about my issues and why Iā€™m there for her to tell me ā€œYou should see a neurologistā€. My jaw hit the floor and said I thought thatā€™s what you were. Guess you need to ask for titles and qualifications at this place since the are incompetent. They took my copay, told me I could see a neurologist in 3 months and then called security on me, when I had done nothing wrong. Would never go back here or recommend anyone to waste their time with this place.

I was admitted to this hospital in the emergency room, suspected stroke or seizures, lost the use of my left side, speech slurred, totally confused as to what was happening. 1 million tests later, canā€™t even tell you what or how, I was home by Tuesday night. They saved my life. Everyone, doctors nurses porters all so kind and caring I canā€™t thank them enough. A Dr. whose first name was Muhammad was incredibleTalking to me and to my daughter kimberly, reassuring and wonderful. Thank you thank you thank you everyone.

Doctors will bandaid and not actually help identify the problem. I deal with chronic migraines and the amount of times this place wouldn't answer me for my medication refill and MADE ME GO THERE multiple occasions. Just save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. Danielle doesnt know how to send a proper zoom link so despite waiting since june for this appointment they made me miss it. Customer service is horrible they take everything personally. Plus parking is trash people park and make their own spots. Save yourself the migraine, you'll just get one coming to this dump. They are NOT the best I get better care for my migraines at a heart doctor than this joke.

Dr. Strauss saved my life. I came in with a massive stroke and was paralyzed on my entire right side. I got there within 1/2 hour of onset and got sent to CT scan immediately, and was started on tPA right after CT scan. I regained use of my right side within 1 hour of treatment and within 3 hours they reversed 99.9 % of all symptoms.

Went in for a MSLT test for suspected narcolepsy based on advice from neurologist. Didn't realize that this was a pure-play sleep apnea shop. If you enter with any sleep problem whatsoever, they'll find a way to force-fit a sleep apnea diagnosis. By their logic, sleep apnea is a wide spectrum disorder that almost everyone has even if almost no symptoms are manifest, while narcolepsy is a black-and-white disorder that cannot be tested for unless every symptom for extreme narcolepsy is manifest. It was frustrating to be told they wouldn't even consider a MSLT test until every possible test and advanced test for sleep apnea was performed first. To add injury to insult, though I never went back after that initial consultation, they sent me a bill for $550 ($150 after insurance adjustment) for a 10 min consultation. The person who spoke to me for that 10 mins was a resident of Dr. Bhat. Dr. Bhat just said hello to me for the last 20 seconds. But that didn't stop them from billing me at Dr. Bhat's rate for "moderate 45-59 mins". Calling the billing company is proving fruitless. I rarely say this about a medical establishment, but this place is an absolute scam. Avoid at all costs.

The Neurologist literally told me that he hopes my 7 month old doesnā€™t cry because he canā€™t work like that! Then proceeded to ask all of us once weā€™re in the room if we speak English since my grandmother who has dementia has a Caribbean accent! So freaking rude.

Had an appt for my wife at 1130am, currently its 2pm and she was just called in to see the doctor. Whats the point of making an app?? The nurses had to text and call the doctor to remind her of her appts. Complete joke

If I were to rate solely based on the doctors - I would give them 5 stars (especially Dr. Martin Herman and Resident Dr. Abram Wahba).. however the front desk staff, more specifically, Urvi was really nasty over the phone and wasn't professional at all. Only front desk member worth speaking to over the phone is Sherry as she's always helpful and respectful.

The doctors are great. Promises for callback not kept. Always getting hung up on. Too many hoops to go through too many departments just to answer one question. I give up.

These people have disgusting attitudes on the phone. They have zero concern or regard for patients. I called yesterday for an appointment. They said theyā€™d call me back. They never did. I called back and they informed me that theyā€™d call me to give me an appointment because they understand I need to be seen since I was just in the ER yesterday. They call back to tell me that they canā€™t see me for another month and half. Are you people insane? Just complete incompetence. Nasty attitudes, zero training, no customer service. Just absolutely absurd. Shut this place down. What a tragedy. Youā€™ll die before you see a doctor.

Iā€™ve been calling them everyday, leaving voicemails. Never got a call back. I was diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage back in 2018. Iā€™m starting to have headaches again and need to see a doctor there. It seems like they want you to go to the ER after the accident happens. This is ridiculous! I need to see DR Bloomfield. Iā€™ve been on the phone for 30 mins and still not answering.

I called to try and make an appointment here and the front desk person was super dismissive. Even though I never require a referral to see a specialist, she kept saying i needed it even to give me scheduling information. I understand having rules, but she was being dismissive since the beginning of the conversation. Been going through very hard medical issues lately and it sucks to speak to someone lacking care like this. I understand now all the negative reviews this office has. I will be finding another neurologist.

The Dr's are great It is the incompetent people who work in the office and the mailroom And anyone picking up the phones they ask you to leave your name and number why! They do not return calls doctor asked me to mail in my CD which I did post office confirmed delivery now they say no we didn't get it my health is bad now I have to go back to the imaging place and ask for another copy very disappointed basically your health is in the hands of the people who answer the phones not the doctors avoid this place at all costs Anything affiliated with Hackensack avoid They never pick up phones or return a call

Not a good experience. A woman who answers the phone is so rude. Why keep someone who speaks to patients / caretakers with a snarky attitude. Really too much. That was my telling sign to go elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible experience here. Repeated troubles with appointments being canceled or no record of them existing. Spend a few minutes in the waiting room to watch patients arguing with the front desk. Little to no concern for the patients.

It is nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone at Neuroscience. The customer service is terrible and the physicians never seem to have an answer for the patients problems. They are quick to report your neurological issues to motor vehicles and revoke a license but getting paperwork back to dmv from them to get your license is a disaster.

Though my experience with Dr. Ming He, re my eyes, was terrific, my other experience with the memory doctors was terrible. They were impossible to reach with questions after our first appointment. One time, a nurse called back. And this week, despite trying 6 TIMES, and each time being told I'd receive a call back from the doctor, I didn't. And the phone operators were often impolite, not being able to understand my frustration was not directed to them. When I said, "Put yourself in my shoes," and intended to explain further after the operator objected to my tone, she simply and definitively said "I won't." I've canceled my future appointment with the memory doctors, and will look for another memory doctor (outside the Institute) who treats his patients appropriately, and not as (apparently) simply annoyances.

Contacted the center twice to book an appointment, the receptionist was rude and argumentative. Still haven't heard back about getting an appointment. I was told they will call back if they want to treat me. I did all that was asked and requested by them. This is not how you treat people who are in need to seek medical treatment for a new diagnosis.

The neuroscience team is excellent over here. All the doctors are amazing. The nursing staff especially the oneā€™s in ICU are doing an amazing job. My dad got tumor resection by Dr. Conte and everything went very good. He was kind and guided through every step and answered all questions. I was very stressed before surgery and couldnā€™t find much good reviews about this place over internet. But everything was good. A little problem we faced was with administrative staff because one of them was rude but it can be avoided when everyone else was kind.

Been dealing with a herniated disc L4 L5 and S1 for over 10 months and have been getting the run around from various different doctors and specialists. Huge shoutout to Raj Sindha for helping me from the minute I walked in to the very end. Great staff and Doctor Karnaugh is the man!
