Horrible experience!!! Tried a new place today and the nail set was not well done! Nails were lifting from nail beds. I went forward thinking the nail design would help & that was terrible too. I asked them to remove them so I could go elsewhere they began to clip off fresh acrylic with nail clippers I asked them to stop because it hurt then they proceeded to soak them for 30 seconds and started drilling at an extremely fast pace leaving me with a bloody cuticle😡

I have gone to Serenity since it opened years ago. I understand that it is under new management but the way it feels in the salon is not the same. I witnessed the owner being rude to one of the customers by having a rude tone. This is totally unacceptable to me because that person was a customer that was going to pay a good amount of money to the nail salon. Additionally, the pedicure takes way to long. It was relaxing but by the time I got my manicure, the total time for everything was three hours. It was very hard to communicate to the techs as they do not know English very well. A lot of times I want to get a specific nail design, therefore, if the techs do not know English it is hard to communicate what I want. Overall, I am not impressed by the way Serenity is anymore and I will not be coming back.

These guys were great! The place was clean, they were very nice and professional, and the young man who worked on my nails paid great attention to detail, making sure I was happy with his work before I left. I had previously gone to a place in New Mexico for my first set of acrylic nails (I've never done this before) and the first time was awful. The people at serenity nails not only fixed my nails, but we're gentle (the first time hurt like crazy) and they made me feel welcome (the first time I went in NM that lady couldn't get me out of her hair fast enough!) Thank you so much for showing me that getting nice nails is fun!! Anytime I come to Illinois I'll definitely be paying serenity nails a visit!
