I hadn't been here in a LONG time, but decided to give it a try. I was blown away with the friendliness and amazing taste of the food. You can tell that the employees definitely put effort into the appearance and taste of their food. I will be coming back very soon and have already recommended Teaspoons to others!

I greatly enjoyed my experience here. They have plenty of options from salads, soups, wraps and sandwiches to choose from. Plenty of coffee and tea options. I really enjoyed my sandwich with the side salad. The chai latte here is also really good. Staff is super friendly and it has a nice atmosphere for breakfast or lunch.

As a 2016 SIUE graduate, Teaspoon Cafe is a staple in all of my travels to Southern Illinois. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable about their various tea and coffee offerings. The staff are friendly and never mind recommending a drink to their customers. I can only speak on behalf of their breakfast food, but every item on that menu is delicious and will leave you satisfied. I'd recommend the breakfast burrito with green chili sauce. It's large enough to share, but with a big appetite, one can easily finish it alone. If you're looking for a treat to bring home, their cinnamon roll is great and is even more yummy if you heat it up just slightly.

Smells wonderful. Busy place at 8:45 a.m. A few large table of kids and adults enjoying the food and beverages. I ordered the Mayan coffee-espresso with foamed milk and Mayan chocolate. Yummy!! The bread and cookies looked delicious but I didn't indulge. They have breakfast selections. Open from 6:30 a.m-5:30 p.m. weekdays and then different hours on weekends. Staff is friendly.

Super cute place with lots of great breakfast and lunch options! Huge selection of coffee and tea as well. Perfect place to meet up with someone or just chill.

What a hidden gem! Not a fancy high end cafe. Order at counter. Friendly, helpful staff! Easy to see they put their effort and passion into their products. Absolutely delicious!

Very impressed with the service I received. As soon as I walked thru the door I was greeted with a smile from every employee. This is not your average drink joint. Definitely recommend whether you like coffee, tea, or smoothies they have it all and big selection of each. Will be a repeat customer for sure.

First time visit, I ordered the Wasabi chicken sandwich and it was fresh, light, and delicious. I expected it to be warm but was pleasantly surprised when it was cold. Nice place for a light lunch. Only $20 for two good-sized meals with a side salad. Asked for no tomato on the sandwich and didn't specify no tomato on the salad, but they thoughtfully removed them as well. Would definitely come back!

We came into town to visit family and upon realizing they weren’t home, we ventured out for breakfast. I googled local places and the picture of the breakfast burrito grabbed my attention. Since this occurred during the time of covid-19, all the tables were spaced appropriately, the patient and friendly staff were masked, and everything was spotless. The breakfast burrito was packed full of cheese, potatoes, chorizo and served with sour cream and a smoky sauce on the side. It was was absolutely delicious. My oldest daughter enjoyed the quiche of the day (sausage, tomato & cheddar) and said it was the best she’s ever had. My youngest daughter had the pancakes and although she could only finish one, she went on and on about the sausage that came alongside the order. The next time we come this way, we will definitely be back for another burrito and to try the pastries.

Food was good & fairly quick. The restaurant gets really loud when it's almost full. The iced coffee machine could be moved into the back room to reduce noise.

We go here almost weekly. We love the breakfast burrito but we try to steer away from getting lunch here as it’s been only ok. We love the Mayan mocha but I recently have been diagnosed with a disease where dairy and gluten is something I have to steer away from. They only had almond milk as their non dairy option and I’m not a huge fan of almond milk. Oat milk would have been fantastic.

My husband & I tried teaspoons today and was very happy. Welcoming environment friendly employees and clean. Our food and coffee was fabulous they are very fast! We split a piece of banana bread and it was amazing! This cafe is like eating at home without doing all the work! Would 100% recommend.

Ill pick teaspoons over starbucks ANY DAY! Their coffee is so good and the employees behind the counter are incredibly nice. Its around the same price as starbucks, just a lot better! I don’t always get to stop by though cause I like the convenience of a drive-through but when i do its always amazing. They have *the* best sugar-free chocolate latte ive had in the area! Their food is also very good❤️

Ordered the kids meal breakfast with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Everything was dry, like it was sitting out for a long time. Breakfast burrito looked great, but the meat tasted like yesterday’s meat.

The atmosphere didn't feel like a cafe. Huge ceilings in an open room. Amy noise at the table excited all over. Felt like I was in a library and needed to be quiet. Didn't like the order at counter and they bring food. Not necessarily their fault, but not the breakfast I was looking for. Unlikely I'll go back.

Great teas (I recommend the Assam Gold with lemon, or any of the great oolongs). They also have coffee and herbal/flavored teas (the caramelized pear stands out) coffee, and espresso drinks. Don't miss out on the food, it's all great. I particularly like the breakfast burrito and chicken salad croissant. If you go for lunch, the side salad in order to try the house made poppyseed dressing (it's a sweet and savory vinaigrette). During peak hours the semi-industrial space can get a bit loud, outside of peak hours you can read, work, or study here while having your tea.

The staff was very friendly and the food was good. I had the burrito with chorizo. It was very good. They also have an assortment of breakfast pastries that are very good.

3 Starz based solely on first time visit to have the Aztec cocoa (medium size) $5:35 with tax I believe or about that price. The place is clean open and inviting. They have baked goods and of course coffee and teas and a bunch of food items. Too bad I am fasting or else I would have tried something off the food menu and sure enough to bump those three Starz to 4. Shame, iam just passing by on business trip. Also looking at the pictures for menu and prices on here which were dated and not discernable. Which I have taken for the public to peep game. Oh and by the way the Aztec cocoa was great, and would highly recommend on those chilly mornings coming up.

Had 2 eggs over easy, potatoes and an English muffin. Eggs were cooked to perfection, potatoes are the best in town. Coffee is always good, had 3 choices, picked French Vanilla and got a bottomless cup which o recommend so you can take to go.
