It´s simply amazing. Even if you prefer to walk up, I suggest to give it a try, the way uphill is fascinating. The view is amazing, the panorama is breathtaking, the journey itself... well, give it a try.

Cable car to go up and down the Wendelstein mountain. It is approachable by car, bus, or train. Car park and bus stop is right outside whereas the train station is a 5 min walk. Ticket counter and information available in the entrance. After which one has to climb up stairs a level and wait to board the cable car, it operates every half hour, doors open 5 min before. Place to sit and WC available both at base and top.

The rope way is another option to go up and down. The cost is 26 Eur with your Bayern ticket. We came up via train and went down by cable car. NOTE- The train starts and end on a different side of mountain as compared to rope way. So be careful where you want to go. The operators do inform you about the same. But we purposely did this as we took again the private bus for returning to Brannenbug station. The bus ride costs you 4,5 eur if you have Bayern ticket. The bus takes you to the internal villages and churches. The ride was beautiful and worth spending 4,5 eur. The bus seats were soooo comfortable 😇. We had some time in hand so you can see the picture where the lift is above the train. Was amazing view. All in all this is fun to do for an entire day where you have good weather.

View is from the wendelstein Seilbahn , it’s a view from the parking station , it’s better you will go to the top from this bahn rather than other Bahn.

Great experience, we loved this ride. It was not very long, was for about 8 minutes but worth. The view from top was amazing. The Church looks so beautiful in Snow. There was a view point as well with a telescope which was great as well. There is a restaurant on top as well with amazing view where you can relax with drinks. Must visit place.

A very fast way to go up to Wendelstein. it takes seven minutes only. The ride was pretty smooth, I expected more swings.

Take the cable car to the Wendelstein. Enjoy a great 360 view on top without much hiking effort. Can be crowded on weekends.

I would recommend going there, the view is spectacular. And the Seilbahn is very safe and an engineering marvel it is built in 1969 with only one pole in the middle and it looks so modern. The restaurant is not bad but only for hungry people sadly, would have been nice to get a good meal up there with this kind of view.

Great views from the top of the mountain, food was a bit average really below par. And a bit expensive to get up there, if you are not a walker not much else to do.

At 16:00 is the last cable car that goes down! The price is a bit in the expensive side for the transport, but to enjoy the mountain in a quick visit is ok... I guess; we only took the way down and did the hiking up the mountain.
