Food was delicious. Cuban sandwich was just as great as I remember them being here...possibly better. Great place for a quick bite

Can't say enough great things about this place! You pick a meat and 2 sides and receive a plate full. I ordered the beef with black beans and rice and a side of plantains. Everything was very flavorful, fresh, and hot. They give you so much food for the money. I barely put a dent in my plate! If I'm ever in Tampa again, this will def be one of my first spots I visit!

Wanted to enjoy this place. I'd never tried it although it's been around for some time so we thought we would stop in two weeks ago.. Steak & egg sandwich was inedible. The breakfast plate was extremely underwhelming. The Cafe con Leche was great! The bathroom experience was awkward, sign reads not to flush toilet paper or anything down the toilet.. 😳 Would not recommend.

All the food I have ever had here is phenomenal!! (But I’ve never thought to order egg and bacon sandwiches 🧐I know their Cuban bread would be worth the price of admission!)

I have been coming here for over 30 years since I was 10, and nothing has changed! My father and I would go here at least once a week when we lived in Carrollwood Meadows. Now that we live outside of Tampa, over one hour drive, this place is still worth the drive once in a while. I always suggest Pepo's if we come to Tampa for lunch or have friends in the mood for Hispanic food. Psst, my pregnant wife and children approved this place.

The food looked appetizing enough, but both of the baked chicken dishes we ordered had spoiled smelling and tasting chicken legs. This was disappointing because we love Cuban and Latin cuisine. On a positive note, the rice, beans, and plantain sides were great. Eat at your own risk.

Absolutely delicious food. Every bite was enjoyable. Ordered the shredded chicken and it was amazing. Already planning my next trip.

Stopped by to pick up dinner while our power was out as I heard they had amazing Cuban Sandwiches. The hot table looked great and next time I'll try that, but since I had a Cuban Sandwich on my mind, that's what I ordered. It was good, but I wouldn't call it the best in the bay. It was hot pressed with butter, but the pork tasted a bit dry and the bread seemed overly greasy. The sandwich was also a bit smaller than what I get at other places. The beef empanadas though, those are FIRE! So good, crispy flaky crust, and full of flavor. I enjoyed that much more than the sandwich.

Amazing amazing amazing food and staff love this place. Been going to Pepos for years now. Always getting better. Miss the Ox tail would pay top price to eat it again.

I have ordered this a few times now on Uber Eats, and the food always arrives fresh, hot, and delicious. The portions are generous and the food is what my Tampa-born heart needs when I’m craving that Cuban goodness. You seriously won’t be disappointed, IT IS SO GOOD.

Definitely wasn't bad! I drove 42 min for it because all the cuban restaurants in my area are closed on Sundays. The papas rellano was delicious but not hot in the center. My ropa viejas was yummy, not as seasoned as I get from my usual spot. But I would come back for sure. The staff were very nice!!

As restaurant owners ourself we always seek out the local small business restaurants. Today Pepe's certainly did not disappoint. We had the shredded chicken and beef along with a side of the meatballs and red beans. The proteins were prepared to perfection and the meatballs were to die for. Super friendly ladies who served it up with genuine smiles. Thank you for making our lunch date on valentines day the best!

AMAZING food!! So fresh and flavorful! Staff were so sweet to explain each dish. Pricing was good. I had the pork, yellow rice/plantains, hubby had Cuban Sandwich w/fries, and son had the chicken quarters /yellow rice. All was on point and yummy! Huge portions!

The food was pretty good - I had the breaded steak sandwich, and the staff was kind and welcoming. The food did take a decent amount of time to prepare, but that's my only qualm.

Ordered for delivery. Ordered pulled pork, yellow rice, black bean soup and an empanada on the side. I did not receive soup, I received the beans on top of the rice. The rice feels and tastes prepackaged, like the microwaveable pouched rice. The pork was dry and the empanada was bland. The food did not taste horrible. It was okay, just has room for improvement.

Went for a cuban and found the spot :) My brother and sister in law were in town. They loved their cuban sandwiches and want to go back and try the other dishes that looked and smelled delicious. All the girls were very nice.

Great cuban food, this place has mine and my husbands favorite steak sandwich. We’ve even named the sandwich the Julio and the girls at the front recognize it and will make it if you ask for a steak sandwich like Julio gets it lol . If you want to try it you can also ask for it as a palomilla sandwich with mayo, American cheese and cebolla guisada. Enjoy!
