We ordered Koftah(minced meat), fresh juice like hibiscus. Cons: be alert for hidden charges in your bill. There is extra Vat price, which is not mentioned anywhere till you get the bill. Also he keeps a fake invoice book to prove his point which we argued out. Pricy, double menu list, with 70% price hike for the tourists.

The food here is delicious and the service is very warm. The waiter was an older gentleman that treated us greatly, he even treated us to some complimentary salad. Our vegetarian friend found various options and enjoyed her food. I would recommend to anyone coming around El Souk 🍃🙌🏽

If you don't require a Nile river view, this is the next best thing (and you'll get much better food too). Here, you overlook the central square. Lots of activity. Traditional music. Plus, very cozy lighted outdoor seating. I had the minced beef-eggplant-onion casserole (or "moussaka") in a traditional tagine bowl, steamed rice, tabbouleh salad, tahini, and bread, plus hibiscus tea. The best meal I've had in Luxor, and the atmosphere is great. The manager, Mahmoud, took special care too make sure I was pleased. I was.

Went in this restaurant because we saw a menu showing jacket potatoes. I have severe allergies and one thing I can eat and enjoy is a jacket potato. The staff were fantastic and made sure I had only what would do me no harm. They spoke excellent english and were extremely friendly. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and hungry!

A really nice place in the center of the Souk with a nice view. Good food and really safe and clean restaurant (we had the opportunity to see the kitchen. You can go there blindfolded!) The must : a manager and his team really nice and carefull for you. We had a lovely time and talk with them for more than 3 hours about Egypt : its current events, history and legacy. Thank you again for all !

Why only two stars? One for the view from above on the market. Food is just ok… Sea soup was not good. Just a lot of shells where you had to be careful not to hurt yourself. And fish was missing in it too.. next time I will go somewhere else. Also they had added the wrong items on recite and had later problems with the card machine so we had to go to another store to pay. Talking to the owner of the restaurant he stated that the cook is not working on a Friday and that’s why soup was not good…

An oasis of peace in the middle of the chaos. Jamboree is a fantastic choice if you look for a parenthesis of good food and relaxedness in the middle of the most stressful street in Luxor (especially for tourists). Very recommended!

Le pongo 3 estrellas porque está céntrico y los dueños son muy encantadores . Pagué 575 libras egipcias , o el equivalente a màs de 20 euros por un plato bastante simple de carne. Ni las cantidades ni la calidad se correspondían. El nieto del dueño se dio cuenta de mi insatisfacción por mi cara al pedirme que le dejase reviews :) . Llevo tiempo en Egipto y lo cierto es que he comido en sitios mucho mejores . quizás mis expectativas eran altas. Pedí carne y estaba muy dura . tienen una barra de ensaladas que está bien para saciarte si no has comido demasiado . Como detalle , no tienen cerveza pero dejan que lo compres en la tienda de al lado 35 libras la cerveza grande es el precio oficial , a mí me cobraron 50.Negociad con la tienda

Friendly owner. Great food and nice atmosphere. He gave us complimentary food (baladi, salads, dates, mint leaves and other foods we are not familiar with but tastes great) for breaking our fast because we came at 5.30 pm.

I took all my meals during my stay in Luxor at this restaurant. First of all, the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly and willing to talk to me as a solo traveler. The bill is clear and there are no unknown taxes and high tipping requests. Anyway, I would recommend this restaurant to any traveler who is a bit tired of Egyptian culture😀

BEST FOOD IN EGYPT - Our travel guide (and now friend) Khaled brought our group of 6 to Jamboree while we visited Luxor. Every dish we ordered was delicious (especially the lentil soup) and only surpassed by the excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommended for exceptional quality in an elegant atmosphere.

Best introduction to Egyptian Cousine. Great portions and lovely view above the market. Prices were pretty descent and everyone was extremely friendly.

Really it a great restaurant in luxor

A charming corner in the middle of the souk. From the terrace you can see the shops and people go by. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good and cheap. I recommend trying the mulukhiyah (delicious). If you go to Luxor, don't miss it!

Very nice restaurant! I’m a vegan and they were very accommodating to my dietary needs. The owner is very friendly he made us feel very welcomed. Most importantly the food was really really good! I honestly ate all the way r being full and we didn’t order so much, so the portions were great. I really like this restaurant, the environment was nice, we didn’t stay long because we had to catch a train. But it’s definitely a good night spot if you wanna hang out

The food was good even for a vegetarian like me. I went with my mom, even she was very satisfied with the food. We gave a special order since we needed more vegetables which was carefully looked upon. The only issue was it took them time to serve our food.
