Loved this property. Me and my family were extremely comfortable in this holiday house. The location is perfect and the waterways provides an easy commute. The ferry point is just 2 mins walk away. Tomb of Nobles is 2 mins walk away as well. The location provides a quiet and peaceful environment. You get a river view from the terrace top restaurant. Overall a good experience.

A perfect gateway and a perfect, nice, clean and cosy place where you can enjoy your time away from all the noise and crowd. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you so much for all the help and assistance and for being so nice and decent. Walid is very helpful and I enjoyed our daily conversations.

Very peaceful location on the West Bank of the Nile. Clean & quiet making for a nice break from the noise and crowds of larger cities. Wonderful meals and very helpful and friendly staff.

We stayed 3 nights with the family and enjoyed our stay! This is a basic, air conditioned and very clean hotel with very friendly staff and a fantastic view over the Nile from a roof terrace that always has a nice breeze! Breakfast is good and in the evening a typical Egyptian dinner can be ordered. To get to the East Bank one can take a ferry that runs constantly until 22:00.

The hospitality of these people is amazing, the place is clean, the food delicious, and there is a terrace overlooking the Nile. West bank might be harder to reach and a bit underdeveloped, but it's also more authentic and we highly recommend it. My husband and I would love to come back.

A friend and I stayed at Nubian Holiday House & Restaurant for three nights. First of all, the place is simply gorgeous. It represents the traditional Nubian architecture both from the outside as well as from the inside. It is just a joy to be in. The rooms are clean and include all the essentials. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the Nile and literally serves Nubian mum-food as the meals are prepared by the mother of Baher. Baher is the friendliest staff one can wish for. He provided us with all the information we need, be it related to Aswan, nearby temples or how best to travel to other cities. He introduced us to Nubian music (which we thought was Sudanese) and even invited us to his wedding one day for us to experience Nubian music live. Finally, the location is also quite convenient, as the place is five minutes walking distance from the port where the boats to the east side of the Nile take off. All in all, staying at Nubian Holiday House was an immersive Nubian encounter on its own and made our trip to Aswan much more pleasant.

This review is specifically about the DINNER at the Nubian Holiday House & Restaurant. After traveling three weeks in Egypt, we realized what a total rip-off it was to order dinner here at this place. It was our very first dinner in Egypt so we did not know what to expect, however now that we know - here is our honest informed review. In one sentence - DO NOT ORDER ANY DINNER HERE. The food was tasteless for Egyptian standards, we were cheated by the restaurant's staff - we paid for two meals, but were given only one main dish instead of two, and they still tried to increase the price on us, their attitude was completely non-Egyptian, we were not felt welcome at all, they were only interested in our money. One positive thing, however, was that the cooking lady offered a small free dessert for us, that part stayed with us as a kind gesture, but that's about it. Come here if you would like to have views, but do not spend any money on overpriced and tasteless meals! I recommend to give the money to other local hard-working families that would cook a nice food for you and would make you feel welcome, but unfortunately this is not the right place if you are looking for a true Egyptian hospitality. We regret coming here for dinner.

Only went to get food here, but it’s literally the best food I’ve had after travelling Egypt for 2 weeks. Very nice staff as well.

7 of us stayed here and loved it! Great location: peaceful and clean, and a short walk to the ferry. Habib is fluent in English and very chill. Breakfast was included and great—we also opted for dinner. I’d recommend this guesthouse for single travelers and families alike.

We came here to get some lunch before going to the tombs, and we couldn’t have wished for anything better. After traveling around Egypt for over a week, this was seriously in our top 3 of best food we’ve had (completely by accident as we just ran into this place). Definitely worth it and reasonably priced! Don’t skip this place if you’re here

I came as Guest an go as a Friend. Quiet Location, near to the puplic ferry. The atmosphere at the rooftop is amazing. Ask for a room at the room. The staff treat me anytime well. They cooked special vegetarian or vegan food for me! The food is very delicious! It will come again!

5 stars!! By far the best place to stay in Aswan. Friendliest staff by a long way. Very chilled and peaceful. There is also the friendliest little dog, who is an absolute treat. Rooms is so clean you can take a cup of tea at the roof with a wonderful view. A definite must if you are in the area. Thanks Baher for your hospitality

We had an amazing 3 night stay at the holiday house. All of the staff were great and every meal we had was excellent.( Even when we forgot to order it was no problem) we had a boat for the day organised for us one day and the public ferry is a very short walk along the river from the house.

Best stay of Egypt, Aswan. People here are so nice, the food is great and the vibes are amazing. Down at the river is a farm which can be visited. The view from above over the river is like a dream :) from Cairo to Aswan in two weeks I must say this is the best place of Egypt, yes!

We came to Nubian Holiday house for few days. The place is very clean, we felt at home. The Nile view on the terrace is wonderful. Habib was very friendly, he did recommend us few places and gave a lot of tips for visiting Aswan. Habib organised a minibus with a french guide for a day, it was very professional and we enjoyed it. I can only recommend this place. Thank you Habib for everything, we will come back !

We stayed in nubian holiday house and we felt completly at home! Perfect place to relax and to visit Aswan. It stays near a friendly nubian village wich we loved to be lost for one day. The house is amazingly clean and have such beautiful rooms and decoration. Our Room was huge with a King bed and bathtube! The big living room with fireplace is so fresh to rest and so peacefull to read a book! The rooftop is also perfect to drink a tea and watch the amazing view over Nile. Is also were the breakfast is served. There is a pool/snooker table that makes the beginning of our day more fun. The owners and staff treat us like family and we are going to coming back for sure. We already miss Nubian holiday. We hope it stays Forever like it is! It was one perfect experience that we want to repeat!

👍👍 What a peaceful place this is. Sat on the roof overlooking the mainland of Aswan city and the comings and goings on the Nile.
