I did my open water dive course in October. The boat is nice and the crew is lovely. I was picked up every day and dropped off. Sometimes even by the boss who is super nice. Now my honest review. My instructor Mahmod was absolutely amazing. And I would recommend him to anyone. He’s very kind, tries his best to explain things slowly and repeats if necessary - honestly, he has the patience of a saint haha. The dive sites were quite nice. I just wish they snapped one photo or that I brought my own. The food on the boat was one of the best foods I have had in Egypt. Now, my only recommendation is and I hope they take this seriously is: please make it mandatory that people who start the open water dive course (or any course) should know English or German (or whatever the language of instruction is). Please DO NOT let people take part of this course if they literally barely understand a word. I had the course with two Chinese dudes. And well that was quite an adventure to put it in nice words… they knew barely any English and hence they did not understand anything that went on and what was explained. If Mahmod wasn’t so patient I’m sure they would have been kicked out immediately. The other thing is if you pay, bring enough cash. I had to pay a premium price because I did not have cash and had to pay by card, but this was my fault. Lesson learned bring enough dollars or euros next time :D. All in all I would recommend the diving school. I had a great time and found the entire crew, cook, captain, and boss absolutely helpful and lovely. Thank you again Mahmod. Ask for him, you will not regret it :).

We had a wonderful time diving with Diving Star in Hurghada! 💙 The service is excellent - always on time, very helpful, friendly, flexible and going the extra mile for their customers. The boat is huge and comfortable with a lot of staff who help you with everything. They have a zodiac which is awesome for drift dives. Great lunch also! There is really not a single thing we could complain about - it was just perfect. 👌🏻

Best experience I've had diving and in Hurghada. I took the Padi Open Water in 4 days. The instructor, Mahmoud, is highly professional and pays always attention to safety a d taking care of the ocean. I also dived with Tito. The crew (sp. Said) are always helpful and very kind. On the top of that, they have a cook preparing a tasty buffet every day, better than in the hotel. We went to differents sites every of the 4 days (seeing rays, octopus, giant eels) and it was a 5 stars experience!

Just finished dive with Diving Star team. And I am completely excited about this experience! Nice comfortable clean boat, new and high quality equipment, calm and super friendly professional instructors. Great tasty lunch. I for sure will highly recommend to go dive with Diving Star team

Great dive boat, awesome crew, fantastic food! Tito was a fun dive master and lead us on 6 dives over 2 days. The owner Ashraf has a great company. Highly recommend. Top notch, wish we had more time.

Very proffessional and Very entertaining Dives.. I've done the Advanced Open Water training very smoothly with Captain Haitham. The procedures were clear and accurate and the dives were fascinating ad joyable as well. The boat "Sweet Maya" is excellent, the crew is very skilled and provide the best support. One of the best and highly recommended

Phenomenal place to scuba dive. Fantastic crew with great boats. Overall an excellent, A+ experience. I have been here in the past, came back now, and will certainly keep coming back for future diving excursions. Highly recommend.

One of the best diving centers I've been to. Excellent guides who will safely and comfortably show you all the wonderful places of the underwater world. Comfortable boat and great team that is always ready to help you. Good equipment, tasty and filling lunches. I recommend it to everyone!

We did five dives. The organisation is second to none. Mahmoud is a top guide, a true credit to the diving centre. He is one of those you will remember forever and want to dive with again!! He is knowledgeable, friendly, with big heart, caring for people and caring about protecting the Red Sea corals and fish. A true professional!!! All the guys who work on this boat are lovely. Food is fantastic. Much better than the one we had in the resort. Yum yum yum. Shame we had to return home early.

So happy we booked with divestar. Wonderful friendly people who clearly love diving and provided fantastic customer service. Food was incredible. We felt cared for and in safe hands in a nice family atmosphere. Can't wait to come back again next year. I would recommend them to anybody. Thanks everyone for helping us make memories together. Did four days of diving with this crew, including Nx cert, and my friend did their Open Water course. Had an incredible experience and met several repeat customers, which says a lot. I hope to be a repeat customer someday too, as I will definitely book with Diving Star if I return to Hurghada!
