Glorious place in a beautiful setting! A lot of shops are selling the same things. You have to be tough and say no thank you if just browsing and going for a wander. Otherwise, the banter with the shop owners is fun. Be sure to haggle, suggest a far lower price than the shop owners tell you. If they see you're a tourist they'll try and take you for a ride. The little girls coming up to you to try and sell bracelets is heartbreaking. In all it was a beautiful place and a great experience. Lots of gorgeous views and great photo opportunities.

I loved my visit to the Old Market. It is a vibrant place, very busy. There are so many different shops and places to eat. In my opinion the mosque is the most beautiful thing to see on this market. The fountain is also nice. It's best to visit the Old Market in the evening. It's really a lovely place to visit.

The Old Market of Sharm El Sheikh is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its authentic Egyptian charm. Nestled in a lively and colorful atmosphere, this market offers a unique shopping experience, far from the hustle and bustle of modern shopping centers.Wandering through its narrow alleyways, you are enveloped in a mosaic of sounds, colors, and scents. Local vendors proudly display their wares, including traditional handicrafts, exotic spices, colorful textiles, and handmade jewelry, allowing you to discover the true spirit of Egypt. The market is also the perfect place to sample local cuisine. Small cafes and stalls offer a variety of traditional Egyptian dishes, delightful sweets, and the famous Turkish coffee, expertly prepared. One of the most charming aspects of the Old Market is its ability to connect people. Here, visitors can interact with locals, exchanging stories and smiles, learning about Egyptian culture in a way no book could teach.During my visit, I was particularly struck by the array of classic souvenirs. Intricately designed papyrus paintings, depicting ancient Egyptian scenes and hieroglyphics, caught my eye. Beautifully crafted alabaster vases and statues, reflecting Egypt's rich artistic heritage, were also abundant. Fragrant spices like cumin, saffron, and sumac were piled high, alongside an array of herbal teas and traditional sweets like baklava and Turkish delight. Colorful lanterns and hand-blown glass ornaments dazzled in the sunlight, adding to the market's magical ambiance. In conclusion, the Old Market of Sharm El Sheikh is not just a place to shop, but a must-visit destination for anyone wanting to experience the authentic culture and hospitality of Egypt. A trip to this market is a journey into the colors, flavors, and traditions of a fascinating and welcoming country.

Nice market to shop gifts , herbal products this area got some nice restaurants, café and ice cream parlors. Like other parts of Sharm El Sheikh the big brands are all fake. There is a beautiful masjid called Sahaba masjid.

The old market was not our thing, completely disappointed. Instead of an old market we found just randome shops selling the same things, absolutely nothing special. The only reason to come to that place is the Sahaba Mosque. The "old" market is literally a tourist trap to attract the poor tourists from the cruise ships.

Full of tacky souvenirs and pushy sellers. Best to go up top to old Egypt bar and watch it all with beer and shisha
