Incredible. This is a Must-see attraction in Egypt.

Visited 12 October 2022. This is called a visitor centre and am unsure why. It is basically a kiosk where you can get something to eat and drink. It has two information panels on display and that is it. The Museum and the site itself is across the parking lot. Apart from one other vehicle we were the only ones here and we arrived about 12.30-1pm.

A beautiful place to visit amidst Sahara desert around 3.5 hours away from Cairo city . This place boast of whale skeletons turned into rock fossils , testifying the place was once a sea bed . The whale skeletons are spread over a stretch of 3 kms . In the beginning of the stretch there is a small museum ,a police station,a toilet complex and 2-3 small resting place cum eating place .the entire area is listed as UNESCO world heritage site

Wadi Hitan is remarkable, as it is beautiful. It may be a little bit of a trip to get out there, but sooo worth it!

Very nice touristic place, everything is amazing, but bathrooms had almost no water

40 million years back in time.

So much to see, so little time. We have no concept of true history. Stunning, breathtaking sights abound.

Loved the place, only concern was the toilet, unclean and water pressure is very weak
