This site was not nearly as busy as Valley of the Kings - parking lot appears to be smaller, keeping large tour buses from being able to access. The grounds are in great shape with beautiful tombs. The passageways were much shorter than Valley of the Kings and the color in the tombs was much brighter. Definitely worth the visit if you have a bit of extra time.

The worker village shows the tombs of those who build the royal tombs in valley of the kings and queens. Wonderful depictions of the daily life. The village itself is also very well preserved including a small temple.

This used to be the workers' village. You can see the remains of the houses and a few tombs is people who were not royal but rather ordinary people. Still, the tombs are quite interesting to visit.

Don't miss out on this place, the tombs are so well preserved and lovely staff that explain the images for you! It was also much quieter than Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut's temple.

Don't pass on visiting here! Our tour guide gave us this as an option and we decided yes. The best choice ever! It was one of my fa orite places to visit. He suggested it and noted it was one of his fa irises. A true gem as its beautifully preserved and full of color. It's where many common people lived and shows how 'normal' Egyptians once lived. That was amazing to see how close the homes were, literally atta he'd to one another like boxes assembled for a fort. The in and out of the buried tombs could be a bit challenging for some to enter. A lot of ducking and bending is necessary to scale through. I'm tall and did not have a problem but my friend found it difficult ult and claustrophobic; to me, well worth it. Don't let that stop you! The most magnificent preserved colors in all of ancient Egyptian relics.

The tombs are worth the visit and the climbing of very steep stairs if you can physically do it. No good for anyone with bad knees and back. They are in excellent condition and absolutely beautifully made ❤️

The best preserved, most vivid tombs we saw in Egypt. Absolutely stunning. Much better than Valley of the Kings and far fewer tourists.

Deir el-Medina The worker's village, now an archaeological site known as Deir el-Medina, was where Theben artisans and craftsmen lived who constructed and embellished the royal tombs in the neighbouring Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.

This was the village created for the workers. Fascinating and the tombs for non-royal worth a visit. Nothing can compete with Valley of the Kings but still recommend checking this out. having a guide would also be beneficial if you come here.

Workers village of deir el medina, 3 tombs and temple open with standard ticket (200egp) plus extra ticket needed for pashedu (100egp) well worth a visit and not many tourists as slightly off trail for big tour groups.

Amazing tombs of the workers that built the valley of kings and queens. They are colorful and vibrant. Be sure to tip the tomb guards, they deserve it as they work in harsh conditions!

Like most sites in Luxor, it's well worth reading up beforehand or have a guide; you'll get more from your visit. It's a short walk from the ticket office and easy to find. Some amazing tombs, and don't miss the temple after. Take change for tips - 5 EGL is fine.

Beautiful tombs, few people! These tombs were in great condition and were very well preserved However a little bit too much hustling. The tomb keepers were super pushy around showing you around, as well as to “closed” areas and then demanding tips. Also you need to squeeze through super tight spaces, so not useful

We went early before it got hot and were the only ones there. Tombs are in great shape and worth a stop to see them.

Sight is amazing, definitely worth visiting. Colors are very vibrant. Just be careful with the local hustlers, one guy followed my wife and I into one of the tombs then demanded money to let us leave. When we said no he pushed me into a wall giving me a minor concussion. Never dwelt with people so bad while in Egypt until here. Had sever neck and back pains the rest of my trip which really ruined my experience. The sight is great. The people hustling are terrible.

These tombs are amazing our guide Ahmed Wahab brought them to life. Better paintings than the Pharaoh's tombs as they are undisturbed. Smaller but beautiful.

A less known place but I found it to have some of the best tombs (not big, actually small and you have to crouch at times) in terms of paintings and engravings. Not only some are covered in them as they seem to be the most well preserved in Luxor (maybe not original anymore? Even if so, they are impressive anyway)

The craftsmen who made the tombes for the Farao's and family lived and died to. So how do you think their graves look like? They used their fine arts and painted the tombs with magnificent fibrant colours.

If you want to see how the ordinary workers/artists lived in ancient Egypt this is the place. Virtually no tourists, the tombs of workers are beautifully painted. Worth a visit

If you want to know more about the lives of workers who built the amazing west and east bank temples , no better place than the remains of the city in which they lived
