They discriminated me and my husband while trying to enter the restaurant to have lunch , they know nothing about hospitality and the management doesn't care at all about customer satisfaction , its totally the opposite in fact, they force a policy full of racism and discrimination by requesting the facebook/instagram profiles of the guests before they reserve So they basically screen the guests! I dont recommend this hotel to anyone honestly as i faced terrible discrimination on their premises Side note, they own Paradise inn al Maamoura , and Windsor palace as well and I personally will boycott them ALL

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Vintage Hotel, and I was absolutely delighted with my experience. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of all the major attractions. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, with a vintage feel that is both charming and elegant. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. One of my favorite things about the Vintage Hotel is the rooftop bar. The views from the bar are simply stunning, and it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink after a long day of sightseeing. I also enjoyed the hotel's breakfast buffet, which was extensive and delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Vintage Hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in the heart of the city.

Don’t stay! Rooms: wifi not working, smell of mold, no space, very small bathroom, very old, window view of empty building, horrible toilet paper quality. Breakfast: some variety, awful coffee (didn’t have filtered, properly offered instant to everyone). Location: good, in the city centre, but noisy. Rooftop restaurant: decent, nice view of the sea, okay food. Lift: there is just one small life for the whole building, old, small, takes ages. Would recommend visiting the rooftop to eat/ drink, but don’t stay at the hotel!

This was one of the most horrible hotel experiences I ever had. Exetremely rude and unprofessional staff. Here is my story: My wife is not Egyptian, I booked her a room in her first visit ever to Alexandria. When she arrived the room we booked wasn't available and they gave me a take-it-or-leave-it offer to reserve another room at a different rate. After accepting that, her credit card wasn't able to charge in USD. She asked them to pay the equivalent EGP, they refused. I asked them to leave the room entire price + 50% on top as a guarantee till she brings them USD, they kept her waiting in the reception for 3 hours getting approvals without admitting her to the room. The most rude gesture came from the receptionist when I called her, and she rudely kept the phone away from her while I am talking as a show of utmost disrespect to the hotel customers. I regret ever booking at a hotel with such low quality of service and I urge upon tourists never to come close such a place that is a tourist nightmare.

My experience was less than perfect as they did not show enough professionalism towards the needs of my 70+ elderly mother. Asking the receptionist to expedite getting us to our room after waiting for 20 minutes as my mother urgently needed to use the facilities. The lady literally lied that she did not have the key and her colleague has the key to prepare the room. Then it turned out she had the keys and the room was ready but her protocol is to wait for another person to escort us to the room. I didn’t appreciate being lied to and this ruined the stay for me. The hotel itself is quite lovely but lacks the comforts and facilities expected from the asking price and perceived class of the establishment. Internet is quite slow and disconnected frequently Room is relatively small with no seating area. Prices on booking were less than paying at the reception so use booking and save money. The balcony is quite small and accommodates seating for only one person. There is only one vintage elevator with room for 3 persons serving the whole hotel so you will need to wait. I didn’t feel it’s a good value for money and definitely not recommended if you have elderly people accompanying you.

Do not stay in this hotel. We spent one night in this hotel due to its location in downtown, its nice decor and the great rooftop they have. Unfortunately, our stay was somehow ruined due to the complete incompetence and lack of professionalism of the hotel‘s management. In the evening we mentioned that the flush is constantly flushing and that there is a heavy chlorine smell in our room. As we were told that things will be handled and that we do not need to be present, we spent the rest of the evening outside just to find out that nothing was fixed when we were back. Instead of offering us another room, the hotel preferred to keep us waiting, to have the room fixed in the middle of the night or to wait for other guests to check out. As ridiculous as it sounds we had to wait until the whole mess was somehow fixed, around 1 AM we were able to use the room. After speaking to the management on the next morning, they claimed that they fixed the room on time and that the smell was not present, blaming us to be oversensitive. The night before, at least to of their staff confirmed the heavy smell and obviously nothing was fixed until we complained the second time. Since basically half of the night was wasted, we asked at least for some form of compensation, which the hotel management fully ignored and offering nothing but a „sincere apology“. After reaching a dead end with the hotel management we decided to leave. After reading other reviews, it appears that the hotel management relies mostly on „one-time“ guests, as they did not seem bothered at all with fixing their reputation in front of us. In any case, I recommend noone to stay there, its is best to avoid all Paradise Inn hotels.

Service was very good, my roual suite was spacious, but management should work more on room cleanliness. My suite smelled so humid, curtains are very old and lost color, cabinets also smelled very extremely old and humid! It would have been a better vintage experience if management looked into better quality controls.

Disrespectful management Maintenance and drilling and hammering at midnight. Proves that the hotel manager and employees have nooo service orientation and no respect for guests. Hotel empty with no other guests except us among a couple others that’s why they didn’t care. Pay a little extra and go somewhere where you are treated as honorable guests with rights.

amazing view @sky view .. at the roof you can see the most fabulous view of Alexandria .. you have to make a reservation prior to go if you want a spot there with no risk of finishing it full .

Overall this is a good hotel to stay for 1-3 nights. Location is in the old city center. Unfortunately like most places in Egypt the surrounding are dirty, unmaintained, and crowded. Inside the hotel is beautiful and has an amazing terrace/restaurant. The staff was always attentive and helpful. Because it was luxury built in the 1900's, the decor is admirable and has a warm feeling. The rooms have everything i needed but the bed was not as comfortable as I like. Their breakfast was acceptable and they offer a tea/coffee/cake hour in the evening. They call it a light dinner but there really was no 'food' (protein). Cake and veggies. Would i stay again? Yes! But i would also like to try one of the other modern hotels.

Superb place. Beautiful view, great ambience and staff. Only drawbacks 1. A staff in the restaurant was removing our plates from our table even as we eat and the food was still not over. I didn't know if we were not allowed to have a relaxed chat and breakfast. 2. There was this local police guy who was again and again annoying us asking when is the conference, every time in the reception area, while entering and leaving the hotel. We were just there for a weekend holiday. I believe trist that they are doing tower job but may be the hotel could have intervened. It was late found that ee of the hotel staff actually typed the police with a wrong info.

One of the best hotels in Alexandria with moderate prices. The decorations are so beautiful and the views overlooking the Mediterranean are wonderful. It is cheaper than the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel and far better in terms of rooms and view. Their Sky View Restaurant is great and offers panoramic views of the ancient harbor of Alexandria. The location is centered within the heart of the old downtown quarter of Alexandria where all the amenities are available.

One of the most charming places i have ever stay. The iconic vintage style and atmoshere makes you feel you travel back in time and the vibes there are stunning. Comfortable and spotless rooms, room service for the good quality breakfast, impressive views to Alexandria's port and the best rooftop restaurant of the city. You pay a relatively expensive price for all of them but believe me it definitely worths that. The only negative was the fact the reception stuff never answered me to an email i sent days before my check in ao i had to call them from my country.

The place is vintage and baroque. I felt like marie antoinette with the big doors and the designs of the interior. The place needs some maintenance of course like the shower drain needed some fixing. The view was great and the location is very central. The breakfast buffet was good and the room is also grandiose. I enjoyed my time there.

No hot water. no TV, no Wifi, no view. Yet top prices. Satellite TV doesn’t have any international stations (you can see CNN and BBC etc but without the sound feed). Internet keeps dropping and when up is too slow to stream or Zoom. Today, there is no hot water. The manager is very accommodating, however these issues are fundamental failings for a ‘luxury’ hotel as described and as charged. Be careful when booking a ‘seaside view’ room. ‘Seaside’ means the ‘side’ of the building, not by the ‘sea’. Maybe a side view of the sea from a higher floor, but on the lower floors you have a view of the street and tram station, not the sea. So not worth the upgrade expense. Overall the hotel is not worth @c. £E3000 per night. They are at least accommodating in letting you check in as soon as the room becomes available; so around 1:00pm in my case. PS. there was a brief speedy internet window the morning of day three (18/3/23) and this was nicely timed to coincide with the disappearance of the hot water. PPS. When it rains, no umbrellas are available to borrow and there is certainly no ‘French dining’ (as is claimed) unless perhaps ‘French Fries’ counts?

Great rooms, roof view is amazing. Only thing I dont like some rooms allow smoking, and couldnt sleep one full night. Breakfast is the best a big variety

Couzy and spacious city view room. Classic style for the whole place. Every piece of furniture came from the history of the hotel aged more than 120 years. The elevator is really a piece of art, the corridors carried many original paintings. For the history lovers, they will find it a place worth to stay in. Breackfast quality is excellent, but the variety is , some how , limeted. On the roof, you will fined one of the best places along the mederanian sea shore to have a romantic candled dinner in sky view restaurant , where the view of sea water holding the sun at the sunset time is fabulous. Friendly staff and warm stay. Thank you Dr. Yasser zaghloul Egypt

Rooms are dated, but it's the vibe of the hotel. Bathroom nicely done. Little extra needed in the bedrooms (two seats rather than one). Great location. Restaurant on the roof definitely worth it

Excellent old-world hotel like you’ve never seen before. Straight out of the movies. The rooftop is the only place you’ll want to be.

If you love old hotels full of charm, which have seen Cavafy, who used to write there, or E.M. Forster, and have kept their 1900 furniture or lift, this is the place. Beware: you're in the middle of everything in a very noisy city, but it's worth the effort. Great breakfast in a marvelous dining room with sea view.

Stunning hotel though its ancient, rooms are spacious and well furnished, service is above expectations. The only negative thing is noisy surroundings. I really liked it and it will be the hotel I choose for next visit.

We had a lovely stay here. The room overlooked the sea and the amenities were nice. The wifi was slow but at least usable, which is rare for Egypt. The restaurant upstairs is amazing and it was beautifully decorated over Christmas, and they had a live jazz singer every night. The only issue we had was that we had an expensive pair of headphones that mysteriously went missing from our room. We can't be sure so I don't want to make any accusations of the staff, but maybe use the safe and keep valuables with you. Otherwise it was a really lovely stay.

The hotel located by the sea, close to restaurants, shops, exchange offices, etc. Great, old-style elevator. Nice restaurant on the rooftop with live music and a city view. Very polite and helpful people working there. I really enjoyed staying in there!

The place is over one hundred years old and in excellent shape. Antiques are real and every where! The service was wonderful! Beds are comfortable and of course it is extremely clean! The restaurant on the roof is great with wonderful atmosphere and views. I highly recommend this hotel!

Went to Skyview. Restaurant for buffet breakfast.. The staffs were attentive, nice and speak very well English. It could have been better if they have more variety on the buffet. The view is amazing 😍

It’s such a shame that this beautiful historic building is managed by a team of unprofessional inconsiderate individuals. After checkin time they informed us that they have to move our room to another hotel because of technical issues, I asked them to move us to another room within the hotel but they refused and forced me to pay for an upgrade to stay there. I got food poisoning and was throwing up all day next day and they kept calling me to leave the room because they have other guests and had the audacity to charge me full amount for the dinner that gave me food poisoning. Again they have zero knowledge of service recovery and treating their guests with curtesy. Don’t stay there if you want to be treated with respect.

Old world charm. Built 1902. Worth staying in if only for decor, ancient lift in beautiful working order, wonderful rooftop views from restaurant which serves delicious food in elegant setting.
