I highly recommend visiting the Japanese Gardens if you are in Cairo for a longer period of time. The gardens are well maintained and very beautiful! The statues are interesting and some of the architecture does resemble that which is found in Japan. The area is very relaxed and calm and is a great place for families and couples alike. Overall, I recommend visiting and will definitely be returning!

Nice garden with a touch of Japan. Helwan was once a very green and healthy area where many people come to enjoy its dry weather and sulfuric mineral water. This garden is a glimpse of the glory that it once was.

amazing natural place in the polluted Cairo, but it needs a lot of maintenance and renovation. all of the fountains don’t work and some places are closed. Avoid the vendors and the photographers .. they are backdoor scam, they will tempt you with a cheap price and you will find yourself at the end involved in paying a huge amount of money. in general it’s a good place to go if you are around Helwan, and it’s easy to park your car out there, especially after 4 PM and not in holidays and weekends.

good place for the family to spend the weekends it has so many activities for kids and you can bring your own food drinks and toys with you or just had it delivered to the garden since the cafe there isn't that good . you can take alot of amazing pictures there with budha and it's 40 students

Used to be a great park but now it needs some serious attention as many pools are dry and the park is not well-lit by night. Special lighting system is needed to improve and enhance the beautiful sculptures at night.

Good place to go with the family, near from Helwan metro station. It's manmade lake need some maintenance and some homeless dogs could get inside the garden eventually. You should get your food with you or buy food from any surrounded stores because the garden doesn't have a restaurant or a food store inside. It's a good place for the kids to run, play, and have some fun.

Cool place, zero maintenance. Everything is collapsing, and it's pretty dirty. The locals are terrible too, they harassed my lady friend heavily because she didn't cover her hair, and because some of her skin was showing (she wore long trousers and a blouse that covered most of her body). They didn't know she spoke Arabic fluently because she was conversing with me in English. We had to leave when it became very tense. Funny thing is that tge security men and workers watched it happen and did literally nothing to stop it, more like they were in support of the harassment. Will not recommend.

Firstly there is not a lot to do in Cairo except the Pyramids and museums. We decided to visit this garden as it was suggested on Google... what a mistake! It took us more than hour from the centre of Cairo to get there, and when we arrived we were shocked of the mess that was not shown on Google photos. This park is not ideal for tourist, so much litter, be aware!! We noticed that straight away when we arrived, so we act quickly to use the same taxi to go back to Cairo, there is not other taxi's!!! We probably stayed there for 20 minutes if that, very disappointed. Also, they will charge you to take your camera in, why would I want to take pictures of rubbish lol!
