Unfortunately, I have vague feelings about staying at this hotel, it was good here, it was a great stay in general, but the hotel has a number of negatives. The hotel is closed for renovation from the end of May 2022 until the end of the year, and this may be one of the last reviews before it. Steigenberger Golf Resort and SPA El Gouna is a beautiful five-star hotel for a relaxing holiday, with beautiful architecture, beautiful views and an excellent location. A hotel for the public who want a quality and relaxing holiday. A large area with good landscaping, little bit far from the sea, but with its own stunning lagoon. The main audience is from German-speaking countries, in the main age category +45. I'll start with the pluses: + Food. It's simply gorgeous, as far as it can be presented in a buffet format. The variety of dishes and their tastes are simply amazing. From my experience in all inclusive hotels in Egypt and other countries, this is by far the best place. Bravo Chef 10🌟out of 5. + Cleanliness. All territory is well-groomed, everything is kept clean. The rooms are cleaned with high quality, everything changes daily. No complaints. + Low level staff, very polite and sociable and always trying to solve the problem if it is in their power. + Well maintained beach and lagoon. Many say that this hotel is located on the second line from the sea, this is not entirely true, it has its own beach and a large lagoon for swimming. Excellent sun loungers and umbrellas from the sun and fences to protect from the wind. + provision of all services and the beach of the Club Paradisio hotel. All drinks, buffet and free access to the beach on the sea are included. + Animation. Calm quiet and not intrusive, match the public. + Several pools, the main one is heated, clean, cleaned every day, maybe not big enough, but everything is ok. + large rooms, with a large terrace, everything works, everything is of high quality, do they need renovation, a rhetorical question. Overall Lovely experience. Calmness and serenity is guaranteed. Nice for family as it have water activities (pedalo, canoe, glass boat). Breakfast and lunch were great in taste and lots of varieties. Lagoon beach is great, calm clean and well designed. Rooms are good, spacious, but TV is so small.

I booked a double room. The room is spacious and well cleaned and maintained. The staff overall is helpful specially the housekeeping. The food in breakfast is perfect. Lunch and dinner are good and there is a variety. Dessert and salad section were amazing. However, the hotel is overpriced in terms of pool and lagoon. The lagoon is good and swimmable but very small. The pool also is not big. You will probably need to go to a beach outside the hotel. The tower and the golf courts are great to have a walk.

I Really Enjoyed the Planet Spa Day Pass in the First Week of April 2022 in El Gouna, Egypt. Ramage is the Best Manager that I have Met Here in Egypt regarding a Spa Day. She gave me VIP Treatment & Checked on Me & All Her Customers to Make Us Very Satisfied. I will Definitely Come Back for another Spa Day 🌹💐🎉 in Planet Spa at The El Gouna Egypt Branch. 5 Star ⭐ Rating for the Manager Ramage. I really Enjoyed the Warm Pool & Sauna. The Treadmill was good 👍😊 exercise as well.

Nice resort, very nice lagoon views. The rooms are quite large. Services are good and well organized, however, I had a much more expectations. Overall experience is good and worth to go again.

The beach is nice but after 12 noon it smells like motor and kitchen. You have enough beach and pool space but if you are a woman, the external workers would come and stare or talk to you at the beach. They have wifi but not everywhere and not reliable. The food is great and the breakfast buffet is more than enough but they don’t really serve Arabic meals. The bathroom … wow amazing looking with white Marmor and a lot of space but many „buts“: 1. You hear workers through the windows basically nonstop and it feels like they are with you in the bathroom, 2. the floor of the shower is super slippery, 3. they have an amazing looking rainshower but it didn’t work, 4. it smells like chlorine 5. no conditioner, no body cream The other hotel guests: some elderly, some families or group of friends that want to golf together and many … like really a lot of Germans. I‘d say 90% Germans who would also talk to you in German… You can hear your neighbors, even if their phone is vibrating. The hotel staff is great. No but here at all. They are nice, competent, speak several languages and to be honest they are the best part of this hotel. All of the above mentioned things would not make me avoid this hotel but you should be aware of these things when considering booking this hotel. After three nights I decided to go to another 5star Hotel and that was a good decision.

Nice hotel but unfortunately getting into Gouna is a complete hassle especially the main gate, long queue with poor slow service. You can’t get any Uber or regular taxi inside. Don’t stay in the hotel if you have daily plans outside Gouna.

This hotel is great for relaxation and rest. It is distant from a City, which makes it quiet and safe. The Staff here is reallly helpful and polite. The food is reallly good, drinks too. Marley, the hotel host, is very kind and warm person. He makes sure you feel special and welcome. Beds in room are reallly comfy, I slept great in here.

Although our vacation is many months back, I really need to write to express how thankful we are for this wonderful time. From the VIP pickup at the airport until our final day in which they cordially allowed us over stay at no extra cost, as our flight was late afternoon. Everything about this place was amazing. The different types of food every day, the different shows every night and most of all the awesome staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. From the cleaning staff, to the restaurant staff all the way up to the General Manager, Hisham. He really went out out of the way to ensure our stay was perfect including great tips on restaurants in town, places to go, things to do, everything! Great host! The room was perfect and only a few steps from the sand, water and beach chairs. The Golf course was very nice and the massages were really good! We have nothing but praise for this place 10+. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Thanks again for the great memories!

The hotel is very nice and beautiful placed. I felt very safe there. The staff was professional and very kind, especially entertainment guys. Everybody made me feel warmly welcomed. There was also big variety of tasty food. It’s seems to be calm place for older guests, so it will be good option for people who are looking for perfect place to rest.

Loved loved everything in the hotel. The location is perfect and the activities here are endless. I went with my friend and didn't have to go out of the resort as we found everything here. The golf area is very nice and the interiors are to die for: clean, spacious rooms and up-to date trendy Bohemian style. Also, the lagoon is very neat and the staff is friendly.

We stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel in El Gouna during the last week of October, and it was relatively quiet compared to the first week of November. The flight from Munich to Hurghada took about 4 hours, and from there, we comfortably took the hotel's shuttle, which got us to the hotel within 30-40 minutes. The hotel's infrastructure is excellent. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated, especially the bathroom. The bed was a bit firm, but we had a large balcony with a view of the golf course. The room cleaning was exceptional. The hotel has many service staff, but the reception's friendliness and helpfulness could be improved. The hotel offers a boat shuttle to the golf club, which is a cool feature. There is a spa where we enjoyed a massage, and a gym that opens too late at 9:00 am, so it's hard to gl before breakfast which closes at 10:30am. Breakfast was outstanding with a vast buffet offering local and international specialties. The hotel complex is spread beautifully over the island between the lagoons and never feels overcrowded. The gardens are well-maintained, but the pool area could be a bit larger. A highlight was the option to take a Tuk Tuk and be in the Marina in 5 minutes, where there are many restaurants and bars. We only had breakfast included and dined outside the hotel in the evenings. Regarding the golf course, we played the Steigenberger Golf Course five times. The course was well-kept, but in October and November, it was still very hot. It was advisable to play early in the morning or late in the afternoon. With a handicap of nine, the course felt relatively easy, especially when there was no wind. While some holes might be a bit monotonous, there were still beautiful spots, like the 17th hole along the hotel. In summary, we were thrilled with our first trip to Egypt, and the value for money was excellent. El Gouna is an artificial but clean and friendly destination with an international atmosphere. Next time, we plan to play a round of golf at the Ancient Sands Golf Course.

The hotel is very nice, good area and safe. the junior suite is a good size, however the rooms are very dark even with all the lights on. The pool water looks green and dirty however the staff assured us that it was clean and looks like that only because of the pool tiles used. Breakfast was great and the staff are very friendly, and the hotel grounds are well kept.

Calm hotel with lovely views and a great lagoon. Our stay in the executive suite was marked with nothing but a great time; everything from the service provided to the food served is nothing short of spectacular. Half board might not be worth it, the restaurants downtown provide a varied array of choices, which are also more affordable (less than half the price). The only problem encountered is the regular transport to the downtown. Seeing that the bridge was being fixed, the only way to go was through local transportation, which required some waiting time.

The place is beautiful, inside of a very luxury village. But no direct access to the sea or to Hurghada. Far form any point of interest. But the hotel is splendid, room cleaning is selective...some work done...some not! :))) The food, restaurants and bars super ok. Swimming pool is a little too small. But the laguna is wonderful.

This is a beautiful property. Specially after all the hard work done in renovating it. The feel as you step in is outstanding. The aroma triggers the sense of relaxation on the spot. The outlets are very well appointed and the food display show's exactly where the management wants to position this property. I like the Teppanyaki restaurant it's one of a kind in the area. The suites are spacious and built with tech. in consideration along with the fusion into the overall surrounding. Very much recommended as one of the top resorts to stay at. Love it.

Would like to say 'GREAT THANK YOU' for brilliant rest time I've got staying here!!! Nearly everything was absolutely perfect. Just one suggestion for the Kitchen's Manager I'd like to make: Please remove those two 'clowns', who are making fried eggs and omelets for guest during breakfast, from the area. During 4 days I've visited breakfast, I've got what I was asked for :-( and I made me a little disappointed in 5-stars hotel...

I cannot speak highly enough of this resort and the beautiful people there. Fam, Ahmed, Malak, and everyone there really made the trip beyond that of what I expected. And the resort has everything you need, even the jewelry is something so unique that you won’t find in Egypt. This trip was one of the best trips of my life because of this resort.

First time visiting Gouna, and found Steigenberger hotel from the high reviews on Google and I can see why :). I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and absolutely loved it. The rooms were super clean, modern, beach was really nice, and good variety of breakfast items. Rooms were super close to the beach, all the staff were very polite and helpful to visitors and local guests alike( which is a big plus) highly recommend and recommend going to the spa as well. Will be back
