This ticket office caters to all visitors who come to see the famous Pyramids of Giza. There are a number of counters, making it more convenient, as there is usually a huge rush. Small groups of international and domestic tourists, school children in groups led by teachers and tour groups disembarking from huge tourist buses, together make it a very lively place. There is a map of the area along with instructions for tourists. It is important that you have a look here, as they let you know the prices of the various tickets and also which pyramid is open, should you care to go inside a particular pyramid. On the day that we were there, though the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Khafre was open, the third of the Giza pyramids, the Pyramid of Menkaure was closed for visitors. It would be better to have a guide with you, otherwise you will be pestered by hustlers. Also try to keep exact change for your tickets. Carry water, use lots of sunscreen and definitely wear a hat as it is hot under the Sun, even in winter. Enjoy!

Visited here on 9 October 2022. THIS IS NOT THE MAIN TICKET OFFICE OR MAIN ENTRANCE FOR THE PYRAMIDS. It does not issue the Cairo Pass if you seeking to purchase it either. The main ticket office is located further up on the plateau close to the Great Pyramid up past Mena House. There was always a queue here and the area outside is not what you would expect for the premier tourist attraction in Egypt. We had purchased the Cairo Pass the day before at the main entrance and used this entrance to visit the Sphinx in the morning before the tour buses arrived. Having the Cairo Pass was quick and easy thank goodness so didn't have to queue. I would strongly recommend not using this entrance if you are a Western tourist and use the main entrance up past Mena House.

Can you believe this is the only main entrance on the google map of the Giza pyramid? (We spent one hour to figure out there was another entrance, car & tourists accessible, but with no sign on the map or on the road…) Full of street animals, hustlers, rubbish, scooters….. A total mess. This is the gate of the only remaining seven-wonders. I feel sorry for the pyramids.

We did not use this entrance. We use the new entrance which is after Marriot Mane house Cairo. Just walk or drive straight up towards Marriot mane and ignore the touts at the round about. The security personnel was very friendly. The ticket counter here has about 6 ticket counter and all accept credit or debit cards and only 1 counter accept cash. There's a public toilet here which cost 10 EGP which is well maintained.

No discount for students when I showed my university card. It would be nice to have had that. Also, they would not allow a larger lens for a camera through the security check point. So we had to leave it with them there. Otherwise okay getting in. Getting out can be difficult and the whole security entry/exit system isn't designed very well for flow of people. No hassles as a tourist though, you pay what it says and get a ticket for entry.

DO NOT USE THIS ENTRANCE, WE CAN APPLY THE FOLLOWING HERE IF YOU TOUCH THE BOTTOM START DIGGING BECAUSE IT CAN GO DEEPER. If you want to save your nerves, do not use this entrance, it's probably best to jump over the fence and run a little, rather than wait for this circus to end. There is only one ticket office, which is barricaded by domestic fraudsters who always buy tickets over the line, therefore, it is better to buy through them because they cling to the fence better than a cat to a tree. But it's not for free or cheap either, so wait and die or pay and drive. If everyone is standing in line as they should, the wait should not exceed 10 minutes, otherwise expect a 30 to 60 minute wait. The use of pushing and elbowing is mandatory, if you don't want to pay the scammers and get the tickets under 30 minutes. I can't believe that only one cashier works towards a place like this. Her everyone who addresses you with "my friend", "habibi", "can I help you", "this is for you" only wants your hard-earned money while providing a service that they would not provide for themselves, let alone for another. KEEP IN MIND THAT INTEGRITY DOES NOT EXIST WHERE MONEY IS INVOLVED.

The central entrance and one of the most dangerous places of the temple complex of the pyramids in Giza. Be attentive and careful! Be wary of scammers who pretend to be guides. Keep track of your pockets, as well as your luggage. Try not to enter into conversations and quickly go inside.

Streets full of scammer Very aggressive If you want any animal rides. Buy a ticket and fixed prices inside for animal rides Book an uber and get dropped outside doorstep of ticket office Filled with scammers dirty roads 100m leading upto ticket office; its down alleyways. Views inside are really nice. The tour guides do know how to take really good photos Negotiate price prior for tips etc and get dropped off inside the giza complex with animal so they dont bother you Police and security on site Always use Uber in cairo.

The sphinx and pyramids were amazing and well worth visit. The authorities seriously need to sort this historic place out. Firstly, ticket office doesn't even have a signage and it just looks like a random guy selling tickets from a booth, but this is the official ticket office. There also so much rubbish tipped around the pyramids with a lack of bins. Random people tried to forcefully stop our taxi and force us to buy tickets from them but these are scammers so just ignore. I would recommend going near sunset time for the best photos. There's also a convenient pizza hut right in front of the office with an awesome view for a sunset dinner.

This is one of two ticket offices. It's a small, plain white building with no signage and easy to miss. You will be approached by locals selling horse and carriage rides, etc. around this area, so just be prepared for some annoyances.

This ticket booth doesn’t get enough credit. Extremely busy with tourists and employees do the best to keep the line going. Had no issues getting the pyramid tickets. A lot of haggling in and around pyramids little annoying but not a big deal. Must take a horse carriage ride to panorama. Don’t accept the ride at the gate gets cheaper as you get closer to the pyramid almost half the price that’s displayed at the gate.

We took an Uber to this location, we were dropped off in front of the ticket office. Foreigners pay 200 Egyptian Pounds, Egyptians 30 Egyptian Pounds entree fee. You can walk up to the piramide yourself (ignore the sales men who tell you it is not allowed or possible). Horse ride costs 350 Egyptian Pounds, if you don’t accept this, many drop as low to 150 Egyptian pounds (without negotiation, we just did not want a horse ride). With the ticket you are allowed inside the small (women) pyramid and to the surroundings of the Sphinx. If you want to enter the great pyramid and the museum in the form of a ship, you’ll need to buy an additional ticket. The sales people at the pyramids ask a quite fair price for their goods. We got 6 small )2 sets of 3) white pyramids (solid stone) for 100 Egyptian Pounds. On the way there people on the street tell the driver it is not possible to drive further, but it definitely is without any problem.

Says it opens at 7, but realistically things don’t get going until about 730am… A thing to note they only take cards and not cash. Get there before 8 to avoid the crowds

This it's the main entrance from GiZa , around the place it's a fence, careful if you are a solo traveler, there are many scams tried to guide you, better hire one from your hotel or anyone you trust. It get nasty inside with scrupulous people trying to guide you, glad I got my Egyptian guide to stop them & enjoyed the History in front of my eyes.

A lot of people warn you about people outside the gate, which is great. I would like to warn you of people inside the site as well. There was not a lot of tourists with us and someone with a badge came to us saying that everybody would get a guide like him to protect us. He was really nice, and in the end we got scammed with overpriced camel rides... Camel rides should not go over 200-300 Egyptian pounds, I recommend to use the other entrance as there are more tourists or walk to the pyramids by feet and then check the price for camel rides up there. Even inside the gate, watch out and don't trust "guides"! We thought we were in a "safe place" which wasn't the case. Walking is good.

Uber will take you to ticket gate. The walk to pyramids is long and uphill, so I do recommend taking a horse carriage etc if you cannot walk much. There's a sign posted inside that a 1hr ride is 350EGP per person. But you can negotiate. The driver will want to take photos of you, a tip is expected. Roughly 100EGP+. IF YOU DON'T WANT SOEMTHING JUST STAY FIRM AND IGNORE.

This entrance to the pyramids is a mess, go to the one at the great pyramid instead. It was a brawl getting the tickets and then you have to go trough the unsafest security room ever. Watch your stuff and trust no-one

The ticket office does not advertise their prices, nor the tickets available. For instance, it would have been helpful to know that there is a separate ticket to enter the Great Pyramid (400EGP). Entrance for adults is 200EGP and students is 100EGP.

Always be alert that some young men come to you asking to check out your ticket. Don't let me take your ticket. The real one is the one a little aged standing by the checking gate to check your ticket. Even when you get through the checking gate, there are easy-to-see-they-are-too-young-to-be-guards people pretending to check your ticket ANYWHERE. Perhaps because I travel alone, I become a target. DO NOT let them take your ticket. God, such a lousy country and so many people try to rip you off or deceive.

The ticket office is fine, if you're a foreigner going privately not as part of a tour group READ THE PRICING carefully and do not give money to anyone but the ticket office worker regardless of people asking to "help you" buy the tickets.

It was really easy to get my ticket to the pyramids, and payment is okay with visa cards as well The trick here is to go early in the morning to avoid long queues to get your ticket and enjoy the pyramids in the most beautiful time of the year ( late in Q4 of the year always suggested to go for the pyramids )

I’m reviewing the entrance here. Not the pyramids or any other historical places. Guards or who ever they were made me delete the video i took before the entrance (the entrance was barely visible) before I could come inside. Just because they overheard me talking to a tourist to not get out and show all the money they have, it’s not safe and prices may go up, especially because we were in a over crowded place with no knowledge of the language. Well all my footage before that had to go to the bin. BUT I recovered it so 🤪take that rude guards. Didn’t experience anyone in Egypt to be so rude and impolite, tons of scammers and beggars too. I don’t understand why not invest good money into making a pleasant experience for tourists? I’ll definitely won’t want to go back after experience the same behaviour twice (yes I gave it a chance) Don’t even bother going there without cash. Better go in a group to save yourself from hassle and stress from harassment. Oh and the inside is not really worth it IMO. Looking at it online has same effect tbh, but it’s up to you of course. The entrance for foreigners is 200EGY. If you want to visit inside the pyramids it’s 350 or more. Really hope they’ll improve their service. Really not a pleasant experience.

A great place to ride horses and camels and go inside the pyramid and feel a wonderful atmosphere. I ride horses from Sheikh Kamal Al-Jabri. Great service with Professor Muhammad Al-Jabri, horse expert.

Easiest entrance to the pyramids complex if you are staying in one of the hotels nearby. Opens at 7 am but work begins only around 715am. Is swarming with locals and school kids post 10am so be warned. No concept of lining for tickets here post 8am, it's a free for all. Have fun.

It's the pyramids! The journey inside the Great Pyramid was too hot, steep, and crowded for me. I had to back out. My husband completed the journey and enjoyed it, but said the destination was just an empty room. I highly recommend the camel ride!

Such a beautiful monument to have an entrance that actually is uncomfortable to enter. People are aggressive and try to sell you tickets and tours even before you get a chance to explore the area.

This was a live or die situation, but we did get the tickets! Maybe the fact that it was a Friday made it worse and more crowded… We literally had to push and fight with locals (who were fighting us and each other) to get to the counter. But hey, it’s closer to the sphynx. On the way out, at the other exit, we saw there is a shiny ticket office, without the fighting. Pick your poison.

As others have said the ticket purchasing experience is a bit chaotic, there were just 2 windows open (with around 50 people in the queues) at around 11am in December, though the premium price for non Egyptians had one advantage – the cashier served me when I was reasonably close to the front of the queue rather than needing to struggle more for the last 2 feet. The 'all inclusive' price seemed to have vanished; when I asked the price for area+Khufu+boats the price quoted was the total of the three individual prices. Khufu is worth it though as how many chances do you have to walk into a wonder of the ancient world?

The Giza Pyramids ticket office is the main point of entry for tourists visiting the famous pyramids in Egypt. It's located near the pyramids and is the place where we can purchase tickets for entry to the site. The ticket office has a variety of tickets available including single-entry tickets, as well as combination tickets that include access to multiple attractions in the area. Overall, the ticket office is known for its efficient and organized system for purchasing tickets. However, there have been instances of long lines during peak tourist season, so it's recommended to purchase tickets in advance or arrive early to avoid the crowds.
