It is an economic drama that is facing the people of Luxor. With rising prices that cannot be compared with ours and hardly any income in households, there are high hopes that many tourists will come soon. The prices for trips to Egypt will soon be unaffordable, an increase of up to 100 percent can be expected, only a few people with higher incomes in Germany will be able to afford electricity, gas, water, etc. This makes a vacation a minor matter. In short: the souk was almost empty in the evening and with temperatures at 40 degrees in the evening, only the locals came, but also THEIR and not the tourist bazaar.

In this market you can find all souvenirs from Egypt..the only negative thing is the prices ...you have to always discuss the price with sellers. For example I bought dress 👗 the original price was 350 le and I discounted it on 100 LE 🤣🤣🤣 but to be able to do this you must speak Arabic ..if sellers know you are foreigner so they will make the price more up

No hassle market, theoretically. In reality they do try to convince you every step of the way to buy sth :))) Some really nice souveniers though! Don't forget to bargain!
