This is the TOURIST SOUK! Lots of local touristy items, small amount of fresh foods. Higher prices than the local souk. If you continue to the end of the tourist souk and cross the street you will be in the local souk where you will find fresh produce and other products which are at a more reasonable price. Some bartering is expected ... Try not act like a tourist, be respectful. I say this because I spend winters here and know the merchants.

Please don't fall in the scam. Everyday we were around, taxi drivers, horse carriage driver, random strangers would harrass us and say "today's the special market day, government market with government prices". Don't fall in the scam!! They will rip you off roughlessly, or force you to buy things. They are excellent scammers into pressuring you to buy things by pretending to be kind, offer tea etc.

Colorful place with local experience, but the vendors there are so pushy, they make the visit to this market a very bad experience, besides it is not cheap. Overall I wouldn't recommend visiting this market. Better to go to the Market in Aswan which I personally find less pushy and way more reasonable, especially the southern part of the Aswan market (which is the old Aswan market)

Cleanliness, taste, and good treatment. A distinctive and sophisticated style, with the exception of some, but in general, the place is a masterpiece, similar to Khan Al-Khalili and places with a historical fragrance.

There are many categories stores but different prices within the same quantity and quality which is so confusing... The owners are so competitive trying to sell by force but the atmosphere is a bit cool and unique

The whole street is a shopping street. Some shops charge massive tourist prices (just walk away), other charge Egyptian prices. May not look safe for tourist, but never had problems.

Authentic Egyptian souq experience, lots of different spices / perfumes / clothes etc.

Much better experience to walk through than the tourist market. In the evening this place is packed, and you will only find local people going about their business. No hassle, but they will still try to charge you double if you show interest - so remember to bargain! Unfortunately I witnessed how they were preparing and selling live stuffed pigeons, what a show of animal cruelty :( :( But I guess that is the culture.

Prices are better than other places and people are so friendly. However, prices may vary based on bargaining power and not all ots are of good material.

😐 A tourist market that contains souvenirs and miniature antiques about some of Luxor’s landmarks. It also contains traditional and modern clothes, some silver and gold jewelry, perfumery, hotels, public cafes, and others.

😐 A typical bazaar with hawkers and buildings. Trading is mandatory, but unfortunately the dealers are very aggressive. But the atmosphere is unique. There is a great atmosphere here, especially in the evenings. We recommend ordering tea in a café and watching the hustle and bustle. Incredibly interes...
