Great resort for families, we regularly visit every year. Pool and table tennis available near the lobby, fitness centre fully equipped. Five different themed pools with regular entertainment, drinks and nibbles at the infinity pool during festive holidays. Entertainment team led by Tito are top! Always engaging and making sure guests are happy and informed of all the events. Private beach access via hotel shuttle only 5 mins away. Great food and staff are welcoming. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre which is why it is one of the most tranquil resorts we have ever visited. Don’t miss out!

We were here for a work trip and spent 4 nights. The staff und service is absolutely not acceptable. Everything here is a problem. We wanted an extra blanket, took 2 hours and two people the bring it. Transport to Cairo could not be arranged. Room cards don’t work. Staff at the reception have the worst attitude towards the guests and don’t really care to help with any issues or request. We would definitely not return.

n a nut shell, Ancient Sands Elgouna is everything you would expect from a luxury hotel and more! We were warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped out of the taxi… every staff member from doormen to security, from a very helpful concierge team to an efficient housekeeping team, everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home. This is the level of service you can expect from the staff here. Rooms are huge and receive plenty of natural light. Breakfast is a grand affair, with a staggering array of food, including many local and internationally dishes. There are a variety of pools including the huge infinity pools with plenty of entertainment organised by the very talented Tito, Aladdin and Zee who are very accommodating and encourage everyone to have fun! As always, our stay here exceeded all expectations. This hotel sets the bar high. I’m already looking forward to my next relaxing stay here at Ancient sands.

From day one when we arrived we felt comfortable. Loved the daily dinners as everyday was a different culture we was having. We met Tito ,Aladdin,zee and they were all funny and extremely nice and welcoming. Receptionists were really nice and helpful everytime we needed them. Met an amazing guide called Tito, made our experience the best it could possibly be. Everyday he bought a bubbly character which always made us smile. Would honestly recommend anyone coming to this hotel to ask for a Tito, you will not be disappointed!!!

This was my second time coming to Ancient Sands in 6 months and it was even better than the first time! The animation team were always engaged with getting everyone to take part in a variety of activities and always made me feel welcome. Travel from the hotel to downtown was very quick and the food at the hotel was amazing. The best part was the gym that was free to use and also the numerous swimming pools that were available to use. Would recommend coming here HIGHLY!!!

Very friendly staff, especially the pool service. Breakfast and lunch were good. Dinner was a little disappointing sometimes because the food was too cold or overcooked. The cocktails could be better but were ok. A second pool bar would be nice. Of your not at the main pool, it's a long way to the pnly bar. Animation-team was very attentive and friendly. Rooms are very spacious an clean. The concept of having different parts and separate pools was very convincing. All in all a relaxing atmosphere. The reception was very helpful when asked to get a different room. We would definitely come back.

This was my first trip to ancient sands, aside from Egypt weather and friendly people, ancient sands resort showed me a beautiful environment and one of the most welcoming resort staff that I've come across. The animation team encouraged me to play boules and do stretching every morning and I feel great. I plan to come back with my family ! Thank you ancient

We enjoyed holiday Here and Pool is clean. The room is good and but the air conditioner is sometimes Loud. The Food is not that good there Are Not that Mans options, but the Beach Jas am amazing view and its Safe to Swimm there

One of the best (or even the best) hotels and locations in all Egypt resorts. And I have been in quite many. El Gouna is extremely beautiful and so peaceful. And so is the Ancient Sands. Beautiful place with extremely friendly people. Peaceful, yet lively. Lots of options depending what you prefer: small or big pool, total tranquility or some activities, pool or beach ect. Hotel beach very beautiful. And the people I met during my trip I will remember forever. The hotel employees were there to do absolutely everything to make my stay and trip even more enjoyable. Excellent experience. I could say that it is a better hotel on the coast. The facilities and service were excellent, the animation of the hotel is very fun thanks to Rufa and Mo. I will definitely return to this hotel.

It has been an incredible stay here, beautiful weather, facilities are amazing and food is to match. The staff are friendly, always on hand to help and support with anything and a great laugh overall. Wi-Fi is good and special mention to reception for their organising of entertainment and friendly persona throughout. Will most certainly be staying here again when we revisit Egypt.

Hotel staff, services , rooms , pools and food.. everything is really amazing!! yet , location is not the best .. beach front and marina resorts are really better choice as location especially for families with kids .. although i want to Thank Mr Magdy Makram the F&B mgr who is someone is keen to make everything perfect and everyone is happy!!

Our first day was full of unfortunate incidents from food quality, bad services & poor facilities. However, as a kind of honesty, Mr. David & Mr. Abnoub, the hotel managers have taken into consideration all our comments. They were so humble & took care of us till the end of our vacation The resort has a great view, walkable gardens, more than 4 pools & the breakfast buffet was nice. They just need to redecorate the rooms & upgrade the room service food quality to match the five stars and value of money. Overall, it was a great experience.

Where to start! The value for money is great in this hotel… the entertainment team with Aladdin and Sammy are so funny! And the food around the hotel is fantastic! What a great 11 days we have had… we have been to many hotels around the world but truly the service here is up there with the best!

Great hotel with a great service. The complex is very good planed with a lot of details and hidden places to discover. The hotel is clean and good organised. As well there is a shuttle to the beach, too. The restaurant offers a lot of great food with a good versatility. So, nothing to complain. Well done👍

I really enjoyed staying at Ancient Sands! The staff is very kind and helpful, there are many pools (and they are heated in the winter), the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is great. The entertainment team also really tried to get everyone engaged—I played darts by the pool with Tito and it was a fun time. I definitely recommend staying at Ancient Sands if you’re ever in El Gouna.

We enjoyed our stay . I must say that the staff is very kind and of all kinds of help. The animators are interesting, especially thanks to Tito for everything, he does his job best, very good live music from him. We love Egypt and we will return for sure and the hotel I recommend it. First time in Gouna and it definitely won’t be the last in Ancient Sands! Staff is super friendly and welcoming. There are several pools so you never feel like it’s crowded. The apartments are spacious, clean. Beds are comfortable to sleep in! Tito from the animation team is very nice and makes sure everyone is having a good time. I definitely recommend staying there!

I’ve come to El Gouna for the first time .the hotel is very nice . Everything is perfect ( staff ,food,service)and I am over the moon and was impressed by the area, but most of all, the animation team have basically treated me like a brother to them, Tito and Aladdin,zee always had something for us to do and always do it with a smile, the shows were fun and we even got asked to dance with the Brazilian dancers on one of the evening shows Thanks and we are already planning on coming again next year !!! One of the most serene places in Gouna. The architecture & landscaping reminds me of California. Go for the hotel apartments with hotel service for the best experience.

Lived here for nearly a year. What an amazing apartment complex, breathtaking views, many pools, lots of beautiful girls jumping around, cats, dogs, birds, foxes and storks on the golf course. Very sad I have to move out of apartment, will be back!!

I stayed in one of the flats was spacious and comfortable. It includes dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and everything you will need. Wifi free in rooms and around the pool. I was invited, but I guess their prices are reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpful . Thank you
