Amazing souq with A to Z items and the best place to buy things if as a tourist your journey ends here. It's a long alley atleast 750 metres and have inner distributing alleyways. It's Much better than Khan Al khalili market in Cairo where it's expensive for most shops. You get all the stuff here ranging from Spices , Clothing, apparel, Footwear , Bags, Aromatic incense , Souvenirs,Traditional Egyptian items , Glass art , Cartouches with writings( at 250LE ), Ramadan lightings, Electronic stores ( in adjacent street) , Juice shops ( sugarcane is very popular and zoobian juice made from coconut is unique to Aswan ) , Groceries, Handwork stuff , Crockeries, pottery , Silver and Gold plated things, Sweets , confectionaries, Fruits etc. Tourists Have to bargain to very much lesser prices probably half for expensive stuff . It's crowded in the weekends and even other days during night time .It is vibrant and much utilitarian place to buy anything common.

Tourist has to be very careful in here. It's the place you must make sure NOT to try to buy anything. Our tourist group was here earlier this year. Several members had been cheated or treated very badly by the merchant. We all felt this is the worst place we had been during our trip in Egypt.

Fairly clean and well kept market with a good mix of touristy shops and local shops like butchers, bakers, spice shops and pharmacies. People hassle you less that advertised. Quiet at 9am and 25% open. Mostly open and busier at 11am. Worth a visit and easily accessible from ships.

Our tour guide calls it Spice Market . It's safe to walk around and explore, find some souvenirs, some local food and fruits also. Cruise ships are nearby, usually takes only 10-15 minutes to get there, only thing is that watching out for traffic since there's no traffic lights on streets.

If you wonder what a day to day market looks like for the locals, you should visit here. A few shops were dedicated for tourists to find gifts, crafts, and fridge magnets - But not too many. A lot of things here were for locals. Best to sample a few things here. But just be wary, in case if you have sensitive stomach.

If you've been turned off markets by Cairo like we were, don't be by the Aswan markets. Very few vendors are pushy and once you say no a few times they wish you a good day. A lot more peaceful pleasant and friendly compared to Cairo. Definitely worth a visit.

Aswan Old Market, also known as the Souk, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in shopping and exploring local culture. The market is bustling and full of life, with vendors selling everything from spices and textiles to handmade crafts and jewelry. The atmosphere is lively, with bartering and haggling a common occurrence, making the shopping experience an enjoyable and unique one. The market is well-organized, with clear aisles and a variety of shops to explore. The vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions about their products. I highly recommend visiting Aswan Old Market to anyone interested in experiencing the local culture and shopping for unique and authentic souvenirs

Easy flat walk in the shade for tourist mementos as well as practical stuff. Quite a few pharmacies where you can buy antibiotics over the counter fyi. Fresh juices are great -try the sugar cane if you haven't already. And grab a falafel pocket if you see a street vendor or walk to the Falafel place (search on Google maps) that is just behind the main street near the cruise ships. Look for KFC (urrgghhhh I can't believe there's one of these here) and it's within a few mins walk l across the road and behind.

It was my first time going their and I really enjoyed walking their watching those amazing traditional products here and their. The traditional market is a place I'll recommend for anyone going to Aswan. I didn't have time to go visit somewhere else so I went their a couple of times, and I really recommend going their at night it will be better than going in the morning. You can find a lot of Traditional products jus as Khan Elkhalili market at Cairo.

Great market located in Aswan. Much less vendor hassle than any other market I visited in Egypt. Grabbed some bargains here since had more time to look and think before beginning the negotiations.

A nice walk through but not as many tourists means a lot of desperate Egyptians trying to sell the same stuff

It has everything but you need to wmreally bargain down the prices. they love tourist...but keep moving the older shops are the best with the older guys . It's full of Egyptians from luxor now. Hungry 😜 so best to go down the side streets not the main ones.

It was an OK market where you can get suppliers. It's also a good spot for buying spices. It's located near the train station. It was best to use a bathroom before you arrived as there were no toilets there.

Beautiful souks with lots of little shops selling everything you can imagine..herbs and spices, fruits, clothing and souvenirs!

It's an extremely busy market with extremely welcoming shopkeepers. There are many options available but in case you're in search of some souvenirs there are some interesting options in the starting of the market Just be aware of your valuables since theft is pretty common in this area

Interesting place to ‘pry into’ local life. Be careful when u tried to buy something.. the sellers would charge tourists a much higher price. For example, we bought a sugarcane juice for 5 EGP, which was actually 2 EGP to locals. Juice was great! Bargain was something I’m not good at🙃

Hostoric place, usually small shops to sell garments, spices, dates, hand made arts and all other local things that aswan and nuba are famous for. The market or the souk as pronounced in Arabic is under renovation till end of Jan 2021 .. it will be nice to visit it after that date

Its good as a local market, more than a touristic place, Spices everywhere, hand made things, street food, very friendly people, highly recommended, especially evening, after 7pm.
