BEWARE: This is a lovely place but beware: ask for the price of every item unmarked on the menu. We ordered various dim sums at roughly 9 euros/dish then saw a Wild Broccoli in the menu, with no prices listed. Turned out the wild Broccoli costs 17 euros, which felt like a scam as no one would have thought the price would have been double of every other dish

Good food but service not at all. Peking duck wss great and dim sum too. We stand up and waited and the waiter just pass through us saying nothing, not even good evening. We got a table finally but they don’t speak English, at least it was good i spoke cantonese with them. We had planned for 2 months a visit to this restaurant and all sudden it was ruined just because the staff…

The good: The food is really tasty with great ingredient quality. The dumplings are fresh and made in the restaurant. The menu has a great offer for starters, side and main dishes. Don’t underestimate the dumplings size, they have a really good size so depending how much you eat, they can be a good main dish. The menu is extensive, which normally is a problem for me but I think the kind of options they have are great so, I think I will give it a positive star for them. The seasoning was really good as well, I appreciate it a lot. The not so good: The price range is in the middle-high category and I would recommend to make reservation if you want to go for dinner. The service was not nice though, while I was waiting to know where can I sit, the server was looking at me like I was not right to go there, then when I got a table the server was constantly ignoring me. A second one took my table afterwards that was nicer, but it felt already like preparation for tip, which made me feel really uncomfortable. Final thoughts: I think I would come back and if you are in the mood for good dumplings I think you would be happy with the choice of place.

I have tried a few other Chinese restaurants in Hamburg and Dim Sum Haus serves the most authentic Cantonese dishes. The Peking duck is a must try. It is roasted, not deep fried (which is some other restaurants do). The fried rice is also excellent.

Waiting time, even with a reservation was beyond reason. The meal was okay but nothing outstanding like we hoped. The bearded waiter was extremely rude several times and showed a complete lack of courtesy and hospitality. On the positive side, the atmosphere was was nice !

Excellent Cantonese cuisine in town! Reservation is highly recommended because this restaurant is also very popular to the local community.

It was my first time eating at this restaurant, unfortunately it did not meet my expectations knowing that they are the oldest china restaurant in Hamburg. Their beef canton was bland only 2 stars, Lamb steak was fair 3 stars. Then 1 star for not redeeming our voucher from PaynowEatlater. They don't know how to do it or their system is just outdated. I dont recommend it.

As we were in between trains, we were looking for something close to Hamburg station. Having relied on a few reviews, we could not have chosen better. The places was abuzz with diners, The staff was incredibly busy, but clearly managed to keep things together. The menu is - if anything - too large for my taste. I like to make a quick, informed choice when eating out, and not get lost on page after page of dishes. Once we had made our choices, though, the food was extraordinary quality, with decently-sized portions to boot.

They've got a good selection of dimsums and many other main dishes. We ordered the vegan dimsums & fried noodles with chicken. Also their Yuzu Lemonade was very refreshing. Their service is great. Don't hesitate in asking the staff for food recommendations. The vibe of the restaurant is like Chinatown and the washrooms are also clean.

Need to make appointment as this place is busy. I got seated in a big table sharing with the rest of diners. The dishes food is not really authentic Chinese food (ordered kung bao chicken) from home but the dimsum Siew mai is pretty decent. Take heed that the portion is big and for sharing.

Really good quality food. Slightly on the expensive side (€18-20 main course, €8ish starters), but you get what you pay for. Tasty- will be back.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with its signature dish Peking duck. The decor is very traditional with mainly wooden furniture and cutlery. There are ala carte dishes and set meals up to 4 pax. The main Dim sum menu is priced slightly higher because of the higher quality ingredients used, and worth the price. Service can be slow during peak hours so be prepared to wait a while. Easily accessible from Hamburg hafbanaph süd. Overall a very good experience.

Great place if you want to eat authentic Dim Sum. Tastes good, freshly made dumplings, jasmin tea is also great. The atmosphere was like being back in Singapore, just without the high humidity & temperature ;) It's close to the central train station of Hamburg, so also great if you're just in the city for transition for a couple hours.

I am sorry but need to be honest for my feedback. - The food is way over salty and too much MSG. - The portion is too little company to many others (I.e. Mei Moon, etc). - Price is acceptable (not cheap) for a High class restaurant. - Service is poor, definitely is a big gap compare to a lower class restaurant. So apology to say that I cannot return because usually I am in Hamburg only for a day to have good food. Hope you will take this a positive feedback for the future improvements.

Came for the dim sum and I didn't regret it! One has to be either test for corona or vaccinated 2x for Corona. Foods were amazing and the tea was also very nice. Char siu Fried Rice was very good and fulfilling! The Tea with Chinese name is also recommended! Food recommendation: fried rice char siu, char Siu Bao and Rippchen dim sum! Or all the dim sums could be good too! :)

Service has gotten a lot better. I was surprised and really satisfied and as always I really enjoyed the food. Especially the soup filled dumplings. They're my favourite. Price was good. Service was good. Food was brought to the table at an understandable good time. Music was just at the right volume. Kept the current Corona rules/guidelines. I was really happy and enjoyed it a lot.

Service is excellent and food is delicious especially the roast duck. The skin of the duck is crispy. Definitely will come back again.

We went to the Dim Sum Haus for, well, the dim sum... And we found them. The selection is large and varied considering that this isn't Chinatown. Quality was also good. The current 2G rules in Hamburg make it hard to evaluate the service since they have to check IDs and vaccination certificates as well serve... We think they're probably really good but suffering from the confusion. Anyway, all in all a good experience.

Very good yamcha in German standard! Very good food. Service is average. But good yamcha setting.

We were 2 and came on Saturday for late brunch. For a restaurant named after Dim Sum, the table was really not equipped for that. After waiting almost an hour for the food, the waitress just dropped off the bamboo containers in a single-column tower and left. There was no room to put out all the bamboo trays so it was not the dim sum experience thats familiar to me as a Chinese (or anyone of any heritage for that matter). When ordering, we anticipated the table issue and asked for a bigger one but was turned down by the waitress, who later gave the table to another party of 2…food tasted authentic but because of the overall experience I would not come back again. 建议去别家吧。

The best cantonese food experience by far. The homemade dim sums are absolutely delicious, the wok dishes are as fresh as they can get and very creative. They have a ton on items on the menu that you can't just get on every corner. Don't let me even start with the Beijing duck. AMAZING. And you can get it without preordering it - they always have it in stock, which is absolutely unusual. It is crispy and juicy, flavourful and a pure culinary delight! You can taste that the chefs know exactly what they are doing. Just the way it is sliced up for you makes it so unique. Every little pancake you fill with the crispy skin and juicy meat of the duck, the special sauce, some thinly sliced cucumber and leek is like a gift for your tastebuds. The prices are absolutely fair, the portions however are very generous. Since the menu gives you so many opportunities to try something new and special, it is easy to order seemingly too much. But magically in the end, every dish is finished. We usually hit this crazy good restaurant with a large group of friends and order a whole bunch of different items and share them. This is especially easy, because the bigger tables - for up to 10 people - are equipped with a lazy Susan, so it is easy to just give the food a spin and dig into everything that's served on large white platters. Most of the dim Sums come in the little bamboo baskets in which they were steamed. This give the whole eating experience a very different touch. If you are looking for a special food night out in Hamburg, this is the place to go!
