Ideal restaurant for celebrating special occasions or to have a good lunch. There is a wine shop next door is owned by the same owner, which allows for a wide wine offering in the restaurant. A 'need to visit' if you live in the neighborhood. The staff was rather young, though not inexperienced.

Food was decent but not as good as I had hoped. Nice place with friendly service but just way too slow! Arrived with a group at 6:30pm and finished at 11:3pm. That is 5 hours during a weekday. We were all Very tired and wanted to go home.. maybe better into go during weekend. Set menu with as expected high prices. Tasty wise is not quite my preference. The bread is probably the best I think 😅

Food was excellent. Unfortunately the service was not good, especially considering the price we paid for the menu... e.g. receiving refill of water only after several times asking, sometimes no staff in sight. There was an event going on in the back, so assume that staff was focusing on the event more than the restaurant. Also, despite being a winebar, we only received 2 wines for a menu of 4 courses with wine pairing (paid in advance).. would have been an extra 7 EUR per glass for the 2 other courses.

Upon entrance we where warmly welcomed by the staff. After being seated each staff had its role and carried it out with passion. They had plenty of information about the wines and dishes served. We had a great evening and will be back in the future!

We had a very very nice, delicious dinner. The food was exquisite, the wine pairing was great and the service was super friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the outstanding food you get in return. We will come back for sure.

Nice dinner with strong flavors. The flavor combinations worked well but were not always surprising. Overall we had a lovely dinner and the service was good.

Food is just... You know: great, awesome. Very friendly waiters. Pricing is good and decoration and seating is very nice and cosy. Very large selection of fine wines available! Not my last visit!

I've had some doubts. Not quite five stars for me, but closer to five than four... So... + Benefit of the doubt. Very good service, very friendly, great welcome. Very nice interior, cozy, trendy, quiet, ... Anyway, you immediately feel welcome and at home. As for the food. Menu is really well put together. Both the snacks and the dishes. Very good products with new products that I did not know, such as bvba, the 'timut pepper' and the 'meyer'. Also very nice structure of the signs. The vitello tonnato was really great! The Iberico was tasty, but too salty due to the 'horn of plenty' soup Gilthead bream vongole - delicious. Gilthead bream had just had a little too much. Holstein - I thought this was a shame. The pepper sauce was so present that it was impossible to taste the delicious, specific Holstein flavor. And although the sauce was tasty, I really thought this was a shame. Better than adding a little sauce when serving on the plate and adding some extra sauce. The pont pomme neuf... Beautiful, but not a great mouthfeel. Dessert - I'm not a dessert person myself man but I liked this. Another small note regarding the wine. I took the adapted wines (you can also take them in a BOB arrangement 👍). Well, very pleasantly surprised, good wines, good combination with the food!! Cheers. Ah and one more thing... The aperitif menu is a real gem. Perfect combination of beers, Geuzes, traditional aperitifs, cocktails, mocktails and super good gin and tonics. I will definitely return, highly recommended. For me, I only have to get the small imperfections (personally) out of the dishes.

It didn't do the job for me. Dishes were tasty, but all very wet and saucy, which is practical for people without teeth, but I prefer more "bite". Portions on the small side. Decor OK, but no windows at all, so there's no daylight.

The food was excellent! But that's the positive side of things... I chose suitable wines, my girlfriend was Bob... after the aperitif, however, my girlfriend was not once asked if she wanted something to drink... just water. The bottle of water was empty halfway through the evening, it was cleared away, but again no question was asked whether we wanted a new bottle or whether my girlfriend wanted something to drink. Waiting times between the dishes were very long, we opted for the 4-course instead of the 5-course menu. When the intermediate course was served, there was only a long waiting time for us. Again without anything to drink. I understand that this is for the operation of the kitchen, but we had already been dining since 6:45 PM, at that time it was already 10 PM and the main course had yet to arrive. At 11 pm after dessert we were only asked if we wanted anything to drink... at that point we just asked for the bill... all in all a somewhat frustrating experience, absolutely excellent food but the service still needs a lot of work!

Our lunch at August wine bar was even better than we expected. Service is very friendly, the place feels young and stylish and the food is amazing. Starting with a selection of multiple amuse bouche, we immediately enjoyed the creative dishes of the chef. All courses were delicious and the wine pairing was also spot on. Sometimes the waiting time between dishes was on the longer side, but that isn't a real issue if everything else is this good. Highly recommended!

The poor service significantly lowers our score. For the high price you pay here (€135pp) you expect a bit more. Communication between the kitchen and room staff has room for much improvement. Dishes that are served before the wine, or only half an hour later after the wine (when the glass is already empty). The highlight is a "sommelier" who constantly stumbles over his words and then presents the wrong wine with the main course. There are much more professional things for this budget. Apologies from both chef and room staff do not make up for this. People hid behind a "snapshot". Even the slightest commercial gesture could not be avoided, as you would think after such a debacle. Tip: A coffee or digestif could have eased the suffering somewhat... If only my credit card had also failed in that "snapshot"... 😊

A unique experience from start to finish. The enthusiasm of the entire team is contagious and creates a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is elaborated down to the last detail, creative without being too far-fetched, surprising and enriching. Great!
