It was an unusually quiet parking lot at In n Out Burgers today, Wed., not much of a line at the Drive Thru. This was a first, not much of the usual two or three line queue of cars. We got our orders in less than 9 mins wait as we moved along the drive thru. Got our orders correct, no salt on the fries, and it was freshly made, burger was fresh & delicious. I'm so satisfied with this trip to In-n-Out today, corner of Magnolia Ave. and Fletcher Parkway Rd., El Cajon, CA. A month's ago, I wrote a review on this exact same location, and how disappointing it was - food wise. The staff is always on point, & properly trained to deliver good customer service. Management did a great job turning it around and I believe in having a satisfied customer. We shall be frequenting this location again usually at lunch, and definitely pass the word around on how it has improved and definitely worth the trip.

Double double burger. Awkwardly... this is the first time in my life going to In n out. It was ok. I believe it's the most affordable compared to similar fast food places. The lines were too long for drive-through. Especially in the evening. Restrooms inside the restaurant. Soda vending machines. Togo sauces and Ketchup.

My friends convinced me to get a burger with them, so I had to try it. Well let me tell you something - this place is actually all the hype people talk about it. I haven’t had a good fast food burger like this in YEARS! Jam packed in there and a decent line, but the place was still spotless. Bathrooms: clean. Floors: sweeped. Tables: spotless. Food: impeccable. I don’t want to overhype the place but for the price, the quality cannot be beaten by any large chain restaurant.

Best service hands-down, staff is so nice and answered questions without getting upset. High quality food and great prices. Everything is kept really clean. 11-2pm seemed to be the really busy times especially for drive through so we ate in and got food fast. Menu is simple and easy so makes ordering fast and stress free.

Our family loves to come here for dinner, more often then we'd like to admit! It's affordable and delicious. I can count on one hand the places my family will agree to eat at and In-n-Out is probably our top pick. 👌 I like that the menu is very simple. They'll cut the burgers in half if you ask, we like that for the kids. Also on a rainy day you can bring the kids in for a free hot chocolate!

Normally this place is not an issue .... But it's getting right down there with Cane's ... Food was cold 🥶, asked for peppers (got none), asked for sauce (got none), asked for salt at the window and got 2 microscopic packets, long wait in line, turns out I would rather have NO Fries than cold fries. I am not much of a complainer but ... If yer gonna fleece me at the register then I'm gonna punch back. I could have had 2 beers and 2 burritos down the street.

Great as it's ever been! I also noticed how cheap it is compared to other places. Generally, one doesn't think "low price" about In-N-Out, but I was staring at my receipt while waiting for my food (dine-in). It IS cheaper than most fast food. If the lines were shorter I'd go more often!

There's something about In-N-Out that keeps pulling you back, and it's more than just the irresistible aroma of grilled beef that greets you when you walk in. It's the consistency in the quality of their offerings, their relentless commitment to fresh, real ingredients, and the subtle thrills of their not-so-secret menu that always have me coming back for more. Every bite into an In-N-Out burger reassures you of the use of premium, filler-free beef. You can literally taste the authenticity and dedication they put into sourcing and preparing their ingredients. This isn’t your typical fast food experience; it’s a promise of quality that they’ve been consistently delivering on for years. Then there's the fabled secret menu - an open secret that elevates the already fantastic In-N-Out experience to an entirely different level. My personal favorite is the "Flying Dutchman". It's a simple, yet powerful culinary concoction: two slices of their robust, flavorful cheese melted between two perfectly grilled, filler-free beef patties. Sounds simple, right? But oh, the burst of flavors and textures it brings! It’s proof that when you’re working with quality ingredients, less is truly more. In-N-Out stands as a shining example of how fast food can and should be - real, fresh, consistent, and delicious, with a dash of adventure for those willing to explore. Whether it's your first visit or the hundredth, it never disappoints.

I love In-N-Out, and the service and quality are always consistent across the different locations. This review is not about that, this review is about the change in amount of business between this store's old location and its current one. When this store was 1 mile down the street on Magnolia, it was my go-to for the simple reason that it was small, and never too busy. For some reason, when you guys moved it ONE MILE down the street to its current location, the business seemed to have increased threefold. Now, when I DO attempt to visit, I am immediately discouraged from completing my visit by the THREE FULL WAITING LANES OF CARS in addition to the full drive thru lane(and often another line simply to get into one of the waiting lanes). What the heck happened? Why did business go up so drastically from a one-mile move? I no longer visit this store because of the ridiculous wait times. The store in Santee is almost the same distance from me, and the experience in terms of wait times is a night-and-day difference.

The food is fine nothing really spectacular. Especially given the price. The service is great. The staff knows what to do and gets the food out with no delay. Just don't buy into the hype there are better burgers from places like Annie's Fine Burgers in Santee or Funky's Burgers and Shakes on Washington Ave.

Used to be so much better!!! They have really gone downhill with their food, service and staff. As of late..the food sucks, the service is horrible (especially at the drive thru, inside is worse)!! It really disappoints me to write something negative about In n Out because I'm such a huge fan. But I tell it like it is, and I'm telling you In n Out needs to get themselves back to the standard they had before.

Wonderful experience! If you can find the parking, there wasn't much of a line inside even though they were still packed. They could use a little help directing traffic in the parking lot, but that may be out of their reach and more on the shopping center. It was a little confusing trying to figuring out which line we were supposed to be in to get to the drive-thru line. It's a very very clean location, and, for me, ordering inside was more convenient and less stressful then dealing with the drivers outside.

Absolutely 1 of the best burgers in town! The only fast food I will ever eat. I order a single cheeseburger or when I'm really hungry I'll get a double. I always add extra tomatoes and lettuce, 3x'griled onions with non grilled onions and pickles! I get 1 side of peppers and a shake when I'm really cheating on my diet.

Pre-vegan review: My favorite was the Double Double with "extra everything" and Animal Style Fries. Quality takes a dip when they're crowded.

  • 5/5 Mandy M. 1 year ago on Google
This is a So Cal favorite. These aren't just burgers they're fresh, fresh and delicious. They don't use freezers here, folks. The food is real and delicious. Best fast food burger around. Don't be intimidated by the long lines. They've got customer service dialed in and you'll be through it in no time with a tasty, delicious burger and fries. They have a secret menu you but all you have to do is ask and the secrets well be revealed. You can also Google it. Great place to bring the kids for the best burger around. Come here!

I normally give this place 5 stars but they kept making mistakes on my wife's order. We didn't get our strawberry shake and they put onions on my wife's burger - twice! Despite repeatedly saying they don't put onions on unless we ask them to. Bad night at In n Out.

  • 5/5 Manny G. 1 year ago on Google
The only negative is the wait. Whether drive thru or walk in, it's going to take 15 to 30 min to get your food. They never make mistakes or forget anything. Plus their price for burgers cant be beat. Burgers from 5 Guys are easily $15 each, same with Beef n Bun. It's about $25 to $35 just for me to eat there. A burger, fries and drink isn't cheap at a lot of places now. At In n Out I can get two 4 x 0 and two fries for less than $20. Will keep coming back

I don't get the hype. There good burgers but the wait and lines are ridiculous all the time. My son like the animal fries other than for him I wouldn't take the time to wait so long if I could just go to burger King or somewhere else and get KY food much quicker. They are good . But not good enough to wait 45 min just to get a burger. That's my opinion.

My first time here, but since I don't eat beef 🐂 I only had french fries 🍟. They were quite good 😋 although it would be nice if they added onion rings to the menu. My friends really wanted to go, and since I wasn't driving... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Everyone seems to love In and Out Burger's. The place is always packed and lines of cars in the drive thru. I used to one of those people. My recent visit was not one those times. It took forever to place my order in walk up counter. Then I had to wait and wait for my order. I don't get it, my food was not worth what it took to get it. I'm not bad mouthing the place but the food was not that good.

In n out is a very populated fast food chain restaurant, and with this comes a lot of costumers. Everytime you're here it'll always be packed. I recommend going inside since I feel it's faster for you to get your food and start enjoying it. Food is pretty average if you consider the cost but its the nostalgia and the social world we live in today that drives everyone to post their $5 burger online. But even with that being said, if u want a budget friendly good burger. In n out is the place to go. You'll end up going back.

IN-N-OUT IS THE LITERAL BEST BURGER PLACE EVER. well, maybe not EVER, but they’re still wayyyy up on the list. staff is always super friendly, and the restaurant interior has a sorta saved by the bell look, iykyk. burgers are always delicious, and remember to look at the bottom of you wrapper for a little bible verse. awesome place, awesome atmosphere. definitely recommend

Best burgers! I never have any complaints when I go to in and out other than the long lines. The food is delicious and it's relatively cheap compared to everyone else.

Usually in n out is wayyyy better and I was super excited. But I was so disappointed as there was literally a bug in my fries. Oh well probably just won't go to this location anymore. Also the service was not very good. They told us one cost for our order then a complete different cost. It was confusing. Maybe better workers or better training in customer service ? Hopefully it gets better as that location is easiest for me to get to.

In&Out truly lives up to its reputation as a burger lover's paradise. 😍🍔 From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. 🏠✨ The Double-Double Burger, paired with perfectly crispy fries 🍟 and a delightful shake 🥤, created a harmonious symphony of flavors that left me craving more. 👌🤤

I had a triple and so did my son and daughter. It was about 12 minute wait inside but was worth it when I sunk my teeth into dat juicy tasty triple cheese burger. U cant beat IN N OUTS price and taste

Drive thru: Staff was friendly. Our order was taken outside, so it went even faster. Food was delicious - animal style fries! Lettuce wrapped burgers are a great gluten-free option.

Food was good as always, a double-double with grilled onions and all fixings never fails. Service was expedient even during a rush hour shift. It was a bit crowded but it's to be expected, dining area could've used a bit more love though but overall great.

We tried In-n-out because it was recommended by a friend. We don't have that brand on the east coast.. So the restaurant is Great! Super clean, nice tables, everything is clean. However, the burgers are small. Don't get me wrong, great taste but the paddie is just a 1/4 inch. So to really get a taste of the meat you HAVE to take a double. Other than that the burgers are GREAT. But for the size and paddie too expensive. Now the fries: worst EVER and after talking to MANY people, that's a known issue. So overall, getting a small burger and worthless fries does not justify the price. I will not go there again. By the way, the menu is super limited and you don't have a lot of choices.

The lines were huge and the staff was awesome and very friendly. None of them minded my questions about how their system worked. The food was hot and delicious. Will be back despite the look of chaos!

Best burgers in the west. We moved to the southeast us and missed in n out so much. Thank God for in n out! The meat is consistently perfect and the fries are just the best. The employees are always so so sweet.

3 stars only because I like the way their drive through & parking is set up. However, I'm tired of you letting my food get cold as you serve it to me through the window with a heavy air blasting right into my wide open bag of food. You're allowing that air to get my food cold and tons of bacteria. The person who served my food and handed my bag wide open needs to retake her food handlers certification class. I got a stomach bug. WHY is there even heavy air blasting the food at the window. What's that fan for!?

  • 2/5 Vincent S. 1 year ago on Google
If the food is good but the service is bad you can’t score them a 4-5. I waited over an hour at this location to get “fast food” if you wait an hour then the service is bad! The food was fine nothing special. Avoid this Location the traffic to get in is tough, too close to freeway

Great service and always get our order correct. Take out service is quick, glad they still have this option with the super long drive thru lines these days. One awesome thing they now have is touchless self serve drink fountain. Love it !!!
