Absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is adorable, recently renovated, and very well equipped for a short term rental. Even at the end of our trip, we found ourselves automatically migrating to the deck to sit and watch the river to fill any down time. The hosts were very responsive and made sure all our concerns were taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area, and will absolutely consider should we ever return to Northern California.

Incredible place. Came for a bachelor party by the river. Awesome spot to have camp activities, enjoy river stuff, and hang out with friends in a safe and secluded feeling place. Great access to local whitewater operators nearby and friendly owners and caretakers. Highly recommend the studio cabin down by the water!

Coloma cottages is such a serene and beautiful property. You want the calming sounds of the American River and a cozy atmosphere... book now. ..I'm thankful to spend a good amount of time here and will be having my wedding on the property. I can't wait :) Highly recommend!!!!!

Our giant crew of 20 has spent the last three summers here and it is absolute magic. Adorable, clean and cool cottages with all you could imagine and more and the river access and privacy is absolutely incredible. Nothing more therapeutic and amazing than falling asleep and then waking to the sound of the river! Nancy and Danika are awesome-helpful, patient and so welcoming! We just left and everyone is counting down to July 2024! Thanks Coloma Cottages for making our summers on the American River so special!!!

Our first of a new annual trip with my brothers family and mine. We drove three hours and we’re not disappointed!! More like fully furnished apartments, we had all the amenities of home right near the river on these beautifully kept grounds. Nancy the host greeted us, made sure we had everything we needed, then followed up the next morning to make sure we were still good. We were thanked personally for leaving our cabin in great shape when we left too. That type of personal touch customer service is rare these days. We will definitely be back! 😎

I stayed in one of the riverside cottages, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort and attention to detail. The rooms were clean and furnished with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and the bathrooms were modern and clean. I particularly enjoyed the private patio area, where I could sit and enjoy the serene beauty of the river and a quick dip in the above ground pool. The staff at Coloma Cottages truly went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to outdoor activities. Coloma Cottages are located near the American River, which offers a variety of recreational opportunities such as kayaking, rafting, and hiking. Some of which I took advantage of. Another aspect that impressed me was the overall tranquility of the property. Despite being fully booked during my stay, I never felt crowded or overwhelmed. We started coming to coloma cottages back when California was on fire, in a drought, when the "pandemic" first hit. We had the best experience going straight to coloma cottages after just getting engaged! Nancy and her team really made us feel like family and we ended up extending our vacation by double. We got married and other hardships happened before we got to visit again. We were able to come back and stay for my dad's 60th birthday this past weekend. We found Coloma Cottages while we were staying next-door at the American river resort in our RV. We stayed in the Romantic Riverfront Studio and couldn’t have been happier! That little cottage is right on the river and has a perfect deck overlooking the American River. We got to watch whitewater rafters and kayakers float right in front of us. We could hear the river all night and it was beautiful to watch all day long! The little cottage was really cute and clean and had everything we needed. We even enjoyed the little outside outhouse bathroom with a flush toilet! We loved it and our host, Nancy, couldn’t have been nicer! We wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately everything was booked up over the weekend. But, we will be back!

We loved the cabins… a great get away. Beautiful, clean and hearing people enjoy river rafting was fun. Nancy is very warm and welcoming. Best wishes Kim, Freddie and Marley.
