I was a member at Snap for years and loved it. Sure it was small, but it had one huge advantage over bigger, better equipped gyms: a fun, friendly, social atmosphere. During my time there I became friends with many people, staff and customers alike. In fact, one of the Google reviews by Ryan McCaffree mentioned that a guy said to him "everyone starts somewhere" and gave him pointers. Yeah, that was me, hey Ryan lol. In fact I gave many pointers to many people during my time there and I know of at least a dozen people who joined the gym at my recommendation who I then helped to get started. However, about 6 months ago they hired a new manager by the name of Daniel, and the place has become unbearable as a result. What was once a fun place to workout and socialize has become a gestapo like place where socializing is all but banned. I wouldn't be surprised if they hang a sign on the wall that reads "No talking" pretty soon. In speaking with Daniel, he told me his plan is to completely remake the gyms culture and atmosphere, and I'd say he's doing a great job. Unfortunately, his aim seems to be to create an atmosphere of discomfort. A short while later, Daniel terminated my membership due to "inappropriate conversations" that I had there. A purposefully vague accusation. I have since left and joined another gym, where I am much happier and can share my 17 years of workout knowledge freely. A year ago I would have, and did, recommend Snap to everyone. However, now I can't think of anyone to recommend it to, unless you are someone who wants to come in, work out, and leave, knowing that no one will dare talk to you for fear of reprisal. If going to an overpriced, underequipped gym where the culture is being shifted to be as uncomfortable as possible, go to Snap. If however, you are a human, I'd recommend any other gym in the area. It will be cheaper, bigger, better equipped, and have a much better atmosphere. It makes me sad to write this review, as this place was my home away from home for years of my life.

Great environment and not one of those gyms with judgemental people about if you're slender male, "everyone starts somewhere" one man said to me and gave me. Several pointers on triceps and regimens in general. I loved it and the staff, community, and atmosphere of non judgment kept me coming back to stay on regimen and bulk up!

Excellent gym! Clean, fresh air being filtered, nice equipment, great staff and good machines. Yup, a super solid gym. Did I mention 24 hours?

For those reviews left by Byron and Matt they left out a few details including the fact they were kicked out the gym for talking inappropriately with minors and inviting them “out”.

Small but mighty!. So far the cleanest most organized big box gym I have ever been to. Props to the staff and the regulars for keeping things tidy. Never seen a gym where people put away their weights (correctly ) and wipe down the equipment as much as this place. Has all the basics; weights, cardio and showers. No extras such as saunas or a pool.

Great gym tucked away in the back of a busy plaza!!! Pretty straightforward pricing with a monthly membership. Peak times are packed to be expected with any gym but you can still navigate to most equipment relatively quick. Equipment is in good shape, free weights are a little dated but are very serviceable. The cardio area has great equipment with little to no signs of wear. The locker room is small with showers and lockers, a reminder to bring your own lock(and take it back with you). Parking is shared with the other businesses so depending when you go, you may end up parking farther away from the door but the distance isn't really that far.

Wow!!!!! These guys run a great gym. Super friendly, walked in and got a tour immediately.. Awesome equipment, met a few good people and like a gentleman I asked how is the pump today? Clean locker rooms, clean bathrooms, and a tighty gyn with zero equipment laying around out of place. This just might be my second home. May your pumps be gnarly, good luck everyone. Time to kill a workout

It’s a great gym that serves me well. Weights, cardio machines, friendly knowledgeable staff, as well as nice people that work out there. They also keep it clean and organized. It’s definitely my kind of gym.

Great gym. Lots of free weights. A little small, but if you don’t go at peak hours it’s not too busy and you ha e little to no wait times for machines or benches

I used to workout at Snap around two years ago at this point. I joined back in early 2020 when the shutdown had affected nearly every gym in my area, and Snap had basically become a safe haven for myself and others as it remained open during Covid. For around a year and a half, Snap had been my home away from home where I could stay in my own zone with working out, while also partaking in the gym’s social atmosphere. Snap was also affordable, and had a wide range of fitness equipment that was enough to accommodate anybody and their fitness goals, which was what really attracted me to initially join. However, a new manager named Daniel joined Snap’s staff, and that’s when everything seemed to change. To be more specific, a friend of mine had his membership terminated due to raunchy conversations he had there but as far as I’m concerned, I also participated in the same talks as my friend did. I was never booted from the gym, but I developed a fear that sooner or later, if I was caught having any kind of conversation in my social circle (which is normal amongst bros), that Daniel would intentionally seek and use that as an excuse to kick me out. I give the place an extra star for its selection of equipment, but otherwise if you’re looking to join Snap in El Dorado Hills, just make sure you’re the most anti-social person to walk this Earth. Otherwise, you joining Snap is a recipe for disaster.

Gym is very clean. Management is friendly and courteous. Machines are well maintained, and seem to be relatively new. Patrons are very friendly and respectful. Definitely no complaints.
